Fun Friday Fill-Ins!

YAY!  Here we go again with “Filling In”

This is a fun blog hop sponsored jointly by Annie of McGuffy’s Reader and Ellen of 15andMeowing and every week we have fun deciding if Mom, me, or both of us will FILL IN the sentences that our hosts provide us with!

Mom is taking care of filling in today – I hope she does a good job…………you never know for sure with humans!    Here are this week’s sentences to complete and Mom’s responses are in BLUE!

1. The last movie I saw at the theater was one of the James Bond movies – we NEVER go to the movies as you can tell because the James Bond movie was one of the FIRST ONES!!!!.
2. The title of my autobiography would be borrowed from a Frank Sinatra song title – it would be called “I Did It My Way” because I HAVE!

3. I would love to learn how to crochet but there’s no hope for me -I tried knitting years ago and made a 20 foot scarf because I didn’t know but one stitch…haha .

4. I am glad that I learned that life is too short to sweat the small stuff, because believing that, the BIG stuff I’ve had to face has been easier to get through.

Our fabulous group of cleaners is back today – the ones we had last week………..but we did HEAR from the Broomhildas!   They are in California cleaning celebrity homes now – they got so famous they can pick and choose who they want to work for…….just think – Mom and I LAUNCHED the Broomhildas into fame.   Too bad we didn’t become their agents and sign them up for a cut of the action huh?     DARN!

Well we’re happy for them………..and our other cleaners are good but not interested in “going pro”……………they like us “little guys” and do a mighty fine job………..!   I actually do a few little things to help them out – Mom and Dad take care of the yard and I’m snoopervising inside AND helping a bit.

Yep!

I’m good at replacing toilet paper in our bathrooms! Well…..sort of!

Today I’m going to do the filling in ALL BY MYSELF……Mom said I could!   My fill-ins are in BLUE.   Here we go:

1. I can’t wait for the new season of Redskins Football – I love watching the little guys flying around trying to catch the ball on television.
2. In my home, our double wall oven needs to be repaired.
3.I thought I lost my favorite fleecie blankie but Mom found it in the linen closet – YAY!.
4.Once, I found our neighbor cat using my FAVORITE outside potty area – imagine the nerve!!.

My Dad was a smarty pants when he came home this afternoon and saw the house……………………of course he’s a smarty pants MUCH of the time………………know what he said?????

My Dad is pretty brave isn’t he…….HAHAHAHA

Filling In!

Time for Fun, Friendly, Friday Fill-Ins!

This week Mom and I decided that BOTH of us would do filling out of this week’s sentences!    We’ve been switching off each week and thought we’d both dip our toes in this time around.   SO, my fill-ins are in BLUE and Mom’s are in RED!

Here are the sentences we had to fill in:

1. My favorite way to exercise is NOT to do it in the first place (haha)! Take a nap – I twitch around a lot when I sleep and that counts as exercise!

2. Something I learned last week was that I don’t look as horrible in capri slacks as I thought I would.  Not to try something NEW in my diet – I really paid for that experiment!

3. I am sentimental about my past – I have been through a lot but I wouldn’t change a thing – I’m content with it  My toy box…..I don’t play much any longer but once in a while I go sniff everything and stare at all my toys and think how lucky I am .

4. Some people may find it surprising to know that I’ve written three books, co-authored another book with four other female writers, and edited a book of poetry for a poetry publisher.  That I am now allowing my Mom to give me my medication by hand and no longer does she have to sneak it into my food!.

1. I wish I could afford to hire someone to do all the stuff around the house that my Mom does so she could spend more time with ME ME ME!.

2. Zucchini apparently scares some kitties when they see one but not me – I’m a big brave ginger cat!

3. One Summertime memory I recall is my first summer living with Mom and Dad (I was 6 months old) and being allowed to go down into the cool woods and sit with Mom on the bench – I fell asleep!.

4. This Summer, it’s been super hot outside and I’ve decided being INSIDE the house isn’t so bad!!.

In other news – the Broomhildas showed up right on time this morning for the weekly housecleaning duty……………………..man they are like a TORNADO!    They get it done so quickly Mom and Dad and I have trouble keeping up with them as they whip right through the house and get everything ship shape for another week!

The Broomhildas have their OWN business now! They rate “FOUR PAWS” too so you know they’re good!

They are FASTER than I am with a broom!

Week 10, July 18, 2016:

1. I prefer seafood to meat*.
2. Cancer treatment was much harder than I expected.

3. One way that I relax is sitting on the bench down in the woods OR on our shady front porch.

4. Sammy always makes me smile.

*unless it’s a bacon cheeseburger which I can’t resist PERIOD

Now – onward to the big Friday activity around here which is cleaning the house.  You may recall last week we were on our own around here – Mom, Dad, and me with a little help from a couple of my friends handled the housecleaning.   The Broomhildas had been “out” for a couple of weeks…………WELL, we heard from them yesterday and they have gone into business for themselves!   That’s right – they have their OWN cleaning business now………….!   How totally cool is that????

So the Broomhilda crew was here bright and early and did the usual splendid job of hiding the mess cleaning and putting everything back where it belongs.   After a week of ME and Dad hanging out around the house, Mom needs help and the Broomhildas know just what to do!!

This guy does the tough stuff…….cleaning around my food dish and my litterbox!

Well they were in and out in a flash – they sure know what they’re doing…………..and I asked Mrs. Broomhilda how Baby Broom was doing – she said he’s almost too big for his baby buggy now and is attending nursery school.    Boy I bet that teacher has her hands full!

So that’s about the size of my Friday…………we’re all spic and span for another week and also all filled-in for Friday Fill-Ins.    Now what?   Why napping of course!!!
