Here we are again!  Sunday!   Time for the Selfie Blog Hop hosted by Kitties Blue at The Cat On My Head.    If you’re in the mood to show yourself off like WE are, just click the badge and fill out the linky form – WHAM BAM THANK YOU MAM you’re in!

I’ve been doing FLASHBACK Selfies for a few weeks now and having some fun going back a year ago – mostly to see how I’ve changed (like ten+ pounds or so!) ……. let’s see what I posted as my Sunday Selfie one year ago shall we????

Well this is the photo of me that Mom and I used for my Sunday Selfie on October 8, 2017.    Not QUITE a year ago but close enough.    The photo had actually been taken in February which was the month I was adopted by Mom and Dad.    Below is what Mom did to “fancy-fy” the photo with Lunapic back then:

And there you have it – my FLASHBACK SELFIE from a year ago.    I was one very happy kitty – can you tell?    As always, Mom made a jigsaw of this for those of you who enjoy doing them!   We all hope that you have a fabulous Sunday.    I’m gonna try to – actually I don’t have to try very hard – HAPPY just seems to be what I am almost ALLLLLLLL the time!!!

Click this “mini-me” photo to go to my Jigsaw Puzzle!!!  Good Luck!

Happy Sunday Hugs, Teddy

Friday Fill-Ins

60

Time to do our “filling in” thing!    This is a super fun Hop co-hosted by 15andMeowing and Four-Legged Furballs and it’s always TONS OF FUN to read what everyone says when they fill-in the blanks on the four sentences we are given.

Here are our sentences for this week and I got to fill them out ALL BY MYSELF this week.    My own words are in RED !

1. I have faith in my Mom and Dad to know what’s the BEST for me (even though I don’t always pay attention to them!).
2. Yesterday, I hopped up on the bench down in the woods next to my Mom which I hardly EVER do – it was cool down there.
3. My favorite place to be is OUTSIDE.
4. If I was granted one wish, it would be totally impossible for me to choose just one thing to wish for so I’d give my wish away to someone who REALLY needed it.

◊♦◊

There you have it.    Teddy Kimmell, UP CLOSE AND PURRRSONAL on a Friday!    Now if you’ll excuse me, I will do my usual morning routine and have a good old snooze-fest on the guest room bed.

HAPPY FRIDAY!!   Hugs, Teddy

Friday Fill-Ins

It’s Friday!   Time to do a bit of filling in of the blanks……………a fun Blog Hop co-hosted by 15andmeowing and Four-Legged Furballs.   Each of our co-hosts gives us TWO sentences with blanks and it’s up to us to fill them in as we want.    The FUN part is sharing our sentences – we learn a lot about each other that way!    Want to join in the fun?   Good!   Just click the badge above and go to 15andmeowing and fill in the LINKY TOOL to join up!!

Here are this week’s sentences…………………I filled them in ALL BY MYSELF this week and my own words are in RED!

1. I would like tickets to CATS – what else would I want to see???!!!.
2. Please don’t ask me to lose weight – I like being a BIG BOY!.
3. I’d rather go for a walk outside than ANYTHING!.
4. By this time next year, I’ll love living here with Mom and Dad even MORE than I do now.
I guess my filling in isn’t very exciting but at least I did them on my own without Mom wanting to play too!    YAY FOR ME…………….HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYBODY…………….

Love, Teddy

Friendly Fill-Ins on Friday

Time to fill in the blanks!    Another super fun HOP co-hosted by 15andMeowing AND Four-Legged Furballs.    It’s easy and fun to fill in the blanks they give us in FOUR sentences every Friday.   Mom and I take turns filling in or sometimes BOTH of us fill in!    Either way, it’s fun to do and let us learn something about each other by visiting the others hooked into the HOP.   You can join in by clicking the graphic above and filling in the LINKY FORM.   Easy!

This week I thought the sentences might be easier for Mom to fill in rather than for ME to fill in so it’s ALL HERS today.    Her fill-ins are in ORANGE (or is it ginger???)!

1. As a child, I feared NOTHNG but I would get “anxious” over things like my piano or dance recitals.

2. Friday the 13th is just another day for me – I’m not superstitious .
3. I think empathy is my best quality.
4. You can’t go wrong with ordering a hamburger when nothing else on a menu “leaps” out at you!!

Thanks Mom.    I woulda said “cheeseburger” but “hamburger” is OK too.  HAHAHAHA     Before I go and beg Mom to take me outside for a walkabout I wanted to show you something VERY COOL that Mom and I won from The Cat On My Head’s recent giveaway of ten pairs of fabulous custom-designed kitty socks!     We were lucky enough to be one of ten winners of a FREE pair of these socks.    They were TOTALLY free including no charge for shipping and they are made by a company called OurSock.   You can visit them HERE
You have a choice of uploading any photo for them to print on your custom socks………..well OF COURSE Mom put ME on her socks.    They came very quickly too – we couldn’t WAIT to open the package up and here’s what we saw!
It’s ME – it’s ME!    Mom loves these and not just because my face is on them – they are soft and much like compression hose (which my Mom wears anyway!)…………they stay up on her legs too which is sometimes a problem with socks.    We are SO GRATEFUL to The Kitties Blue at The Cat On My Head for being generous enough to draw names for ten winners of a pair of these fabulous socks.    Mom calls them her “TEDDY SOCKS”………….

Happy Friday !

Hugs, Teddy

Care To Join Me For A Hop?????

Sunday is the time for the Kitties Blue (The Cat On My Head) Sunday Selfie hop and we are hopping as usual.   We hope you will join in the fun by clicking their badge above and filling out the LINKY FORM and being part of the Hop – it’s so much fun to see everyone in their “Sunday Finest”.   My Mom almost ALWAYS does some kind of artsy stuff to my chosen photo of the week for the Hop.   This week she went particularly NUTS.    Not only that but yet again she’s got my belly on display!    She grabs that camera when I am lying outside her office in my comfy snoozing position and WHAMMO – a photo she takes.   Fortunately this time I was not looking at her so no lasers mucking up the photo……..just a good clean shot of my tummy.

Of course she started out the artsy stuff with Lunapic – she used an ART EFFECT called “Tuscany”……THEN she went to good old trusty Pizap and added a patterned border AND then added a Custom Frame then she decided “enough is enough” and that’s the end.    So here I am – before adding “stuff” and after she finished playing:

Yep – I was snoring alright!

Interesting Mom…….I wonder if those blue splotches Lunapic added are my guardian angel orbs?????

AND for those of you who are gluttons for punishment, here’s a jigsaw of ME…..

Click image for puzzle and good luck!

HAPPY FRIDAY!    Time to do some filling in of sentences……one of our favorite Hopping activities around here.   Each week we get two sentences from our co-hosts, Four-Legged Furballs and 15andMeowing and we put words in the blanks they leave in the sentences.   What happens then?  Well we learn something NEW about each other – that’s what!    Want to join in?  Please do – just click the badge above – it will take you to 15andMeowing and if you fill out the LINKY FORM you’ll be IN with the rest of us!

I am letting my Mom take over filling in today – when I read the first question I KNEW it was meant for a human instead of a “human-like-cat” which of course is ME!   Mom’s words are in GREEN.

1. My favorite subject in school was Art – oh how I loved that class!
2. An extracurricular activity I participated in was NOTHING – that’s right – I didn’t do any extracurricular activities because there were none at my high school.
3. I want to learn some new stretching exercises – I’m thinking about taking yoga.
4. It takes courage to make ANY kind of a change in your life because we are all comfortable with the familiar but change can also be EXHILARATING!

There you have it – words of wisdom from my Mom.    Well maybe “wisdom” isn’t the right word – maybe “words from an over-70 lady” is a better thing to say.   GO MOM GO!
It was a sunny day today so I got to go outside several times on my harness.   The only complaint I have is that Mom and Dad applied Holly Tone to some of their trees/shrubs in the yard and that stuff STINKS.   That’s right – I said STINKS!    I’m sure it will fade with time or the first rain but right now, it’s interfering with my usual pathway through the yard – I have to take detours around some of the landscaping.   The worst thing is that I WAS NOT CONSULTED ABOUT THIS STINK-IFYING procedure before it took place!
I guess if that’s my biggest complaint, then I’m still a lucky guy right?

Happy Friday!

Hugs, Teddy

Thankful and Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

60

Happy Thursday!    Today’s my double purpose blog post………….first half I’m being THANKFUL for something and sharing it in the Blog Hop hosted by Brian and second half is Angel Sammy’s Poetry Challenge.     First up though is being THANKFUL.   Brian hosts this Thursday Hop and you can join in if you click his badge above and add your link!    What am I thankful for today?   I’m VERY thankful that I have been allowed to be an indoor AND outdoor kitty thanks to my “Kitty Holster” harness.    It keeps me calm and when I’m wearing it, I don’t RUN RUN RUN like I do if Mom decides to “unharness” me.    I have learned to be the perfect front porch guard which is what Sammy used to do.   I’m thankful he taught me that by whispering in my ear from the Rainbow Bridge.  He’s my Guardian Angel you know!

Now for the second part of my Thursday blog post, I will “cut and paste” Angel Sammy’s email transmission to me last night………………he has great wifi at the Bridge and sends us his Poem and message every single Thursday.   Ready?   Let’s see what kind of poem he did this week.

♥♥♥

Hello Poetry Friends (and non-poetry friends too!)

Thursday means poetry.    I gave you all a photo last week and your mission was to spend a week thinking about the photo and what it made you think of or feel and then writing a poem about the photo!   It’s fun.  You should TRY it if you haven’t joined us yet!     Then you can post it on your blog and tell us you did a poem giving us the link to it in our comments here so we can read it – OR you can write your poem in my comments!!    Easy Peasy right?    The photo I gave you last week to think about is below along with MY poem………

“Creatures From the Black Lagoon”

By Angel Sammy Kimmell    May 10, 2018

Eons and ages and centuries ago

When the earth was a much more primitive place

There were creatures of mammoth size you know….

With “not necessarily friendly” face!

They’d lumber around shaking the trees and ground

Their size was absolutely monumental!

Some roared with ferocity but some made tiny sounds

Like their voices were almost experimental!

They dominated the world until humans appeared

And they were stalked and hunted for their meat

The humans had weapons so they had to be feared

Conquering their size was quite a feat.

Eventually the dinosaurs disappeared

The world began to change

Other animals more tame and less feared

Began to roam the range

Humans made friends with smaller species of cat

Not as fierce as the tiger called sabertooth

Domestic and spoiled and THAT was THAT

And this story of mine is THE TRUTH!!

Ha ha……bet you didn’t see THAT coming right?    Well it was a fun poem to do……….and I hope you enjoyed looking at those dinosaurs and coming to some sort of brilliant idea about what to write – come on – share!    If I can do it so can you!    If you didn’t write one for THIS photo – maybe this photo which is NEXT week’s challenge photo will appeal to you.   Give poetry a try.

I love this photo………..I hope it will inspire you in some way to write a poem about it for NEXT Thursday!   Until then, remember that I love all of you and miss all of you – and if you look up at the ceiling right before you fall asleep you just might see the flicker of Angel wings – it may be your own Angel or who knows – it might be ME stopping by to say goodnight.

Oui Oui – me in my French beret which inspires my POETRY!

Hugs, Angel Sammy
