Teaser Tell All Time

Standard

You Know What Time It Is!

Time for us to hand out badges to those outstanding students who were firsties or even righties and to the Guest Teaser person who gave us all a run for our money yesterday with the Teaser photo.    SO – let’s do this!

First of all let’s acknowledge our TWO (yes TWO) First Commenters yesterday.    They both are “frequent flyers” in the FIRSTIE department and they were right on the front step when the school bell sounded throughout the land yesterday morning.    Drumroll please?

OUR FIRST COMMENTERS WERE:

SHARON and JANET

AND each of you gets one of these:

I was one of TWO First Commenters on the New Years Teaser of January 1, 2024!!!!

Then we had a bit of a wait – why?   Well because it took just a little while before someone gave us the right answer to WHERE the photo had been taken…….Drumroll please?

OUR FIRST RIGHT GUESSER WAS:

INGRID

And yes – Ingrid is another Frequent Flyer in the RIGHT GUESSER department!  Here’s your badge!

I was the lucky ducky FIRST RIGHT GUESSER on the New Years Teaser post of January 1, 2024!

If you also guessed right but weren’t first – you get one of these little gems:

I was RIGHT with my guess on the New Years Teaser of January 1, 2024 BUT I was NOT FIRST RIGHT!

And if you were WRONG but you guessed anyway – you still get some recognition for your TRYING – one of these:

I was WRONG with my guess on the New Years Teaser of January 1, 2024 but at least I went down trying!!!!!!

So here’s the details on that Teaser – First, the photo we showed you:

This photo was sent in by our student who LIVES in this city – Miss Csilla – and the photo is of “The Great Church” in Debracen, Hungary!…….near a Christmas market in the square and with holiday decorations above the street.   Debracen is an interesting city and we have some links for you if you’d like more information.    HEREHERE, and HERE (a video).    The first link you will need to use the “translate” button for English.    The video has beautiful music and photos.    THANK YOU CSILLA for sharing your beautiful city.    Here is a BADGE for you:

My fabulous photo was featured on the New Years Teaser of January 1, 2024!

“Woo Hoo For The Winners!!”

Cheer Team?   Would you like to give us a cheer?

New Years stuff is in the past
But we hope our students had a blast!
The New Years Teaser was quite a winner
We figured it out as we had our dinner!
First Commenters we had TWO
Sharon and Janet were here – where were you????
Then we waited for our FIRST RIGHT guess
It was Miss Ingrid in her New Years Day dress!
This year’s holiday was full of fun
We hope 2024 is good to EVERYONE!

Good cheer ladies.    We did have a fun holiday this year here at school.    There’s a rumor going around we may be moving to ANOTHER new school in the next few months so we’ll see if that happens OR if it’s just a rumor!     Meanwhile, what do you say we head down to the cafeteria for something to eat?    Keep up our strength – that’s important you know!

YES!   Let’s go!

Students and Staff!  Come and get it!

The Menu for the Day:

Good job students!  We’ll see you next Tuesday in class!

  1. That manicotti-thing looks very yummy!!! But is that in plural? And what is the singular? Manicotto? Manicotta? MOL!!! I MUST try it (or rather: them!)! And some German pancakes would be nice, too, and a tea, pretty please! In the meantime it occured to me that in the Protestant Church, there are no saints. Thus, there are no churches named ofter a saint, either!!!

    • Manicotti is a plural! Singular is Manicotto and means “big sleeves” (tee hee). It’s delish pasta though so enjoy. Also German pancakes with some tea sounds like a nice second course. Had never thought about there being no protestant churches named after a saint but by gosh you are right! WOW. Wanna teach a class at Teaser School???????? LOL

    • Well, we do have quite a few anglican/episcopal and Lutheran churches named after saints…here in our town we have St Paul, St Mark, and St Thomas…

However in the reformed tradition, (My protestant faith), I don’t think we have any churches named after saints.

  2. Concats to the winners this morning and buy, Ingrid sure is well described as a frequent flyer on guessing 🙂 But these concatenations make me even hungrier, what say bacon tater and egg casserole. And blueberry cobbler! MaryAnn you are looking especially good this morning. Did you sleep well?

    • Yep- MaryAnn is Miss Dingleberry’s capable (and brave) assistant. I say brave because Miss D is known to be a bit of a crab-pot and MaryAnn seems to be able to tolerate all kinds of “unusual” personalities! Enjoy your delish cassserole and cobbler combo!

  5. Hoorah!
Thanks, Csilla for a beautiful picture to tease us with. So wonderfully decorated as well! Perfect for the season!
I had seen that cathedral somewhere in the past so it was not too hard to ask Mr Google for famous churches in Eastern Europe…yup!

Hmmm, I will leave NY Resolutions behind for the moment and ask Ms Dingleberry if she can deliver me some onion rings, a BLT, and some blueberry cobbler…along with a cranberry smoothie…please and thanks! Now I will be satisfied for the rest of the day and my resolutions, LOL!!

    • Enjoy your healthy meal! My Mom and Dad ended a river cruise in Budapest many years ago and got to see much of the city by bus and walking. The world is an interesting place and they say they feel so lucky that they were able to see much of it while they could still “get around” easily!

      Hugs, Teddy
