Sunday Selfie Hop

Standard

Hi Friends!    Happy Sunday.    Looks like it’s time for us to join in the Sunday fun by showing a photo of us at our best (or worst) in this Hop hosted by our buddies at The Cat On My Head.    If you click the badge above you can join in the fun.

I am doing a FLASHBACK Selfie today because Mom failed to capture any photos of me this week.   Not that I didn’t give her plenty of opportunity – just she was distracted with things like searching for toilet paper in the grocery stores around here and photographing ME – her only son – apparently didn’t rate the same attention as toilet paper did.  Oh well.   Sigh.

What I did though was go back in time to this same week to see what photo she MIGHT have taken of me either one or two years ago.    Let’s see what we can find shall we??

How about this little gem?    This was from March 16, 2017 which was just over a month after I was adopted.    I apparently was so exhausted from playing like a crazy kitten that I didn’t even make it into my cube before I passed out.   Well I’ve always been a good napper – this is proof that I was right from the start!    Even just seeing half of me I think I look like a skinny kitten compared to my generous proportions three years later.

Let’s see how this looks with a little ART effect added……………………..

Mom used Lunapic.com and discovered this effect at the bottom of the ART EFFECTS page – there were some styles of several famous artists available there including this one which is called the “FRIDA EFFECT” – if you aren’t familiar with Frida she is a brilliant artist.   Mom toned this down a little but the textures are very cool aren’t they?    Did we make a puzzle?  OF COURSE WE DID!!!!!!

Click the mini-me for the puzzle……..and GOOD LUCK!

Just in case you’re wondering – this photo is from the same day and Mom took it from the top hole looking down on me – looks like I finally made it INSIDE the cube after all!

Happy Sunday

Hugs, Teddy

    • Happy to give you ladies a smile. This was typical of Teddy – he’d play so hard he couldn’t make it into his cube. He’s still such a happy boy and makes us smile every day. We hope you are keeping safe and healthy. Have been loving your beautiful poetry!! Take care dear friends……….

      Love, Pam ❤

  1. I remember that photo, Teddy! It made me laugh again today. I like the Frida effect for your art, and thanks for the puzzle.

    • This red cube no longer exists either – it was a RAG by the time I had to “sneak it away in the middle of the night” because Teddy wanted it even though it was shredded and wouldn’t even stand up any longer!

  2. Those two pics are just adorable, Teddy! You already knew that you were in your safe, happy, loving place, didn’t you??
And I’m sure your mom didn’t mean to snub you this week in lieu of toilet paper.

    • Oh I know Mom loves me even though toilet paper is on her mind more than usual these days. Apparently she’s not the only one because the TP aisle was AGAIN empty this morning at the grocery. Oh well. Poor lady – all she wants is her usual weekly supply – not CRATES and CRATES of the stuff! Such is life these days I guess. HAPPY SUNDAY!

  3. “Teddy, that was my first smile of the day”, is what Mommy just said and I have to tell you I am smiling too! Really. Made my day!

    • It really was quite slim back then……However, I’m fully grown (thank heavens) and the only thing that is somewhat small on me now are my ears. Mom says I have tiny ears for a big fellow!

  4. You are so darn cute. You and my Rosie should start a cube lover’s club. I love the art your mom made and thank you for the puzzle. I look forward to them every Sunday. XO

    • I can no longer fit in most of my cubes. I have on in the basement that’s a “longer” cube than the square ones. I can’t get in a square one anymore. Your Rosie is a NORMAL sized kitty and she will love her cubes for a long time to come I’m sure!

  7. Thanks for the fun flashback, Teddy! Yes, we need to have good giggles these days, don’t we?

That was a great art effect, and it made the puzzle fun too:)

At least in this den we do not need to search for TP…yet…If petcretary can arouse herself early enough she can check out the stores at 7am…for seniors on T & TH, and for healthcare workers and first responders on M & W…so that means *she* has 4 mornings she can go shopping…before the crowds arrive to sweep the shelves bare:) She just might set her alarm…and remember to put her ID and work badge in her handbag…MOL!

    • Good luck! Mom was first through the doors at senior hour yesterday at the grocery and the shelves were still mostly bare………….they need to have their deliveries for senior hour or any hour to work!! GOOD LUCK!

  8. Ha-ha! I love the pic! My human is disgusted by all the hoarders – if they hadn’t freaked out, there wouldn’t be all the shortages. She works at home, so there were already days when she only went out to shop. Now she says she has to go out MORE because she needs to visit more stores to find things she needs (if she can at all). She had to go to three stores yesterday to find toilet paper and only located some at a mini mart. She still couldn’t find flour or eggs – that’ll be another extra trip (or five!).

    • Ditto here…..This is week two of absolutely NO toilet paper in ANY of our four groceries and five drug stores – even WalMart is paperless. Crazy. They have a Senior Hour now at most places but you have to have food on the shelves for senior hour to work…….not happening. WE WILL GET THROUGH this though. EVENTUALLY!!!!!!

  9. Oh! What an adorable tummy! And what beautiful art!

About the hoarders – yes, they are furry selfish. But Mummy is less worried about possible food shortages than she is about the possibility of not being able to go out (or have brought to her door) the food which IS available, if they go for a complete lockdown.

  10. Teddy, we remember that first photo. You really were a little guy then. We like how the art turned out. We don’t remember the photo looking down at you through the cube hole. That’s a precious and adorable photo. Thanks for being our pal and always hopping. • I think Mom decided not to use that “down through the top of the cube” photo back then because it was a little blurry. The other one with be hanging out was funnier anyway! HAHAHA Thanks for hosting the “funnest” hop around!
