SPARK and Reminder on Monday

Standard

Monday is here again………………..and it’s time to SHARE A SPARK.  What exactly IS this Monday SPARK thing we do?   Well, most of you know that Annie of McGuffy’s Reader – who started SPARKS – was hacked and has been on an extended break from blogging although her idea to spread some inspiration on Monday of every week goes on.   Many of us who participated in her SPARKS Blog Hop and found value in sharing a thought on Monday continue doing that to hopefully give each other a “Monday boost” – perhaps something to think about to inspire us in the week ahead OR help us deal with something that’s on our mind.    Why not join us by sharing something that SPARKS you?   It might just start a spark in us too.

I must have looked through hundreds of “SPARK” possibilities for today but when I saw this one for the fourth or fifth time everywhere I looked, I realized it was meant for me to choose it to share on SPARK Monday.     The more I read it over and over the more I realized it was IMPORTANT.    So I’m sharing!!

These are strange times for everyone – isolating, changing life patterns even if temporarily, living with just a little bit of “niggling fear” that you might get sick……………but remembering that throughout time there have been good times followed by bad and bad times followed by good times which REALLY makes you realize life is a series of UPS and DOWNS……….LIGHTS and DARKS.     We will get our light back – I really do believe that!!

Hugs, Pam

As usual Teddy asked that I remind his Teaser class that they are expected to be in class no matter what tomorrow.   He said they will have desks a suitable and safe distance from each other and there will be ample supplies of hand and paw sanitizer available.  Class will begin at a SECRET time so watch your inbox!

  1. like riding on a see saw…or being a yo-yo! Sorry but ups and downs make me think that way…or as my sister would say…um…up and down like a toilet seat! Bwhahahahaha!

I think I have a case of the sillies, which is how I deal with all the craziness and cabin fever:)

And I think that quote is perfect for these days we are in…soon it will be a bad memory, and we will climb to the next new high/light…and so on.

    • You are right……..we just have to hang in there……….that old saying “this too shall pass” is true but it’s not going to happen tomorrow……….we’ll make it because we MUST.

  2. There have been plagues and disasters throughout history but the world recovers and life continues. Things will get better, but we all need to follow advice and to have patience.
That includes so many of the younger generation who think it doesn’t apply to them. It does!!

    • You’re right Jackie……it applies to everyone and I think the younger generation are learning that the hard way. Patience is the key and doing what’s RIGHT. Some of us come to that naturally and some of us have to be dragged to that realization kicking and screaming! 🙂 🙂

    • We’ve just got to keep the faith….we will get through this even though right now it seems extra tough all the way around and a bit frightening for many of us. We sure will APPRECIATE a lot of things more after this is over!

  3. I like this Spark… I like the idea that we can take our light (hope to me) and face the dark. It makes me feel like I still have some control. We are following the advice of the CDC and when Dr. Fauci speaks, we listen. He has soothed my fears to some extent. Some days I forget the scary and then Jerry turns on the TV or I get on my laptop and the reality is there.

    • We were getting caught up in the mania – believe me we want to be safe and ARE keeping to ourselves but we really aren’t listening to every single report. We all know this is going to be with us a while….we’ll do what we need to do…..we ALWAYS do. Just know (and I know you do) that it will slowly fade away – just not as quickly as we wish it would and not without great cost. We will all be ALRIGHT……REALLY. Let the light shine!

  5. This is so true, Pam. Whatever you bring into a situation is how it will effect you and those around you.

There will always be those that panic and want to make a bad situation worse for others but they’ll profit. These selfish people will meet there “waterloo” someday as no one is free from problems forever. We learn from every situation….let’s make our lesson one of compassion for each other.

  6. Pam, that quote is totally perfect, as are your words. It is a hard time to stay positive. Mom is not really afraid, as she is so careful and only leaves the house for therapy, but she is worried about family and friends. You and Dad David please be careful and stay safe. We all love you. • Isn’t that a great quote? I just loved it………..we’re not really afraid either but we ARE being way more careful – more hand-washing and keeping things cleaned up……fewer trips out of the house unless we’re in the car and staying away from other peeps. We promise to be safe and we want YOU to promise that too!!!!

  7. We believe that too, Teddy. We’re all back to basic, to see what’s really impawtant in life…at least that’s what we think is happening now. There’s always light behind the dark, we only have to wait a little…MOL😸Pawkisses for a Peaceful Tuesday🙏Stay Happy Healthy and Yourselfie🐾😽💞

  8. Yes, P and T. And in the meantime, we will carry our own light into the darkness and light up as much as we can as often as we can as brightly as we can. Stay safe, friends.
