Friendly Friday Fill-Ins Hop

Standard

Time to HOP again with our co-hosts Four-Legged-Furballs and 15andMeowing. So let’s do it!    As usual, each of our co-hosts give us TWO sentences with blanks and we supply the words.  Simple right?  Well it is but it also is so much fun learning new stuff about each other this way too.   If you want to join – DO – just click the badge above, find the LINK place on their blog and that’s it.

Here are this week’s four sentences.     I decided this week to do the ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL myself!    My words are in ORANGE (orange for the orange tabby ya know).

1. I like being an only cat in the household – you already know I’m spoiled!    I like getting ALL the attention from Mom and Dad.

2. I don’t want to have my nails trimmed, but I have to.

3. I’m counting down the days until the Christmas tree goes up and I can lie under the tree and watch Dad’s train go round and round and round.

 4. With my Mom and Dad always home each day is a lot like the next!

We have adjusted to the new normal in my household pretty well – we may not like it but we’ve adjusted to it.   Mom says that if everyone would just get with the program and wear masks to protect themselves and others AND try to stay home more, maybe we wouldn’t be in this big fat mess we’re in?     Anyway, hang in there – things will get back to the old normal one day – or maybe a brand NEWER normal?    Just stay safe.   Pretty please???

Hugs to everyone (with my mask on of course)!    Teddy

  1. Oh, I hope you all are safe and sound and sane. Especially the latter….we go day to day, snooze to snooze. Works out. OH, and dinner to dinner, haha.

    • We’re staying safe – at home almost 24/7 and trying to enjoy each other’s company more than ever. If more people would do the “right thing” we wouldn’t be in this HUGE mess!!!

  2. Being sensible keeps us safe. It is no big deal to wear a mask, but I wish the other idiots could see that too instead of putting everyone at risk.

  3. Good morning, Teddy. Rise and shine. https://tinyurl.com/249zf28 You recently mentioned your excitement about the Christmas tree appearing soon – so now I know you are very excited. On the other hand, your “still Friday reason to dance” badge made me sad. https://tinyurl.com/25fw8qs You see – we are social ballroom dancers, and Friday night dances were part of our normal routine. (See the play on words) https://tinyurl.com/yzpwdtd Well, since Covid has put a stop to the dancing world, we’ve only gone out dancing one time since March. We miss our dancing friends. But some of us get together to play pickleball – so that’s a good thing – just like meeting you. https://tinyurl.com/289fh9d

    • Awwww….sorry my Friday the 13th badge made you sad but I can imagine not being with your dancing friends on Friday nights is something that’s tough to get used to. I’ve heard about pickle ball from friends in Florida but had never heard of it before. Now I have a catnip pickle toy so I know about THAT kind of pickle ball but not the human kind other than what Mom’s friends have said. Nasty Covid has put a stop on a lot of things but Mom and I think that if everyone just does the RIGHT THING, eventually (!) we’ll get our lives back. Including dancing! 🙂

  4. Teddy you look so handsome in your bow tie. My Teddy is spoiled too and he doesn’t like his nails trimmed, but does let me do it. It’s sad that some people don’t take social distancing and staying home seriously. It’s happening here too and it looks like we may be headed for another lockdown.

  5. I agree 100% about getting 100% of the attention around the house. T. BTW – we always expect the orange letters to be yours. Ginger is as ginger does…

  6. I always say Friday the 13th is lucky because my niece was chosen prom Queen on a Friday the 13th. 🙂 Thanks for participating in the fill-ins, great answers Teddy. I bet it is cozy under the tree. Have a nice weekend. XO

    • LOL……..well Angel Sammy loved my husband’s train and would lie under the tree within the circle of track and watch the train go round and round…………Teddy doesn’t get in the circle but lies next to the track and loves the sounds the train makes chugging along and even the “woo woo” whistle. Kids will be kids I guess.

    • I hate it – HATE HATE HATE it. I will let Mom come close to a nail then suddenly pull my paw away – drives her nuts – and Dad says holding me while Mom’s working on me is like holding a 50 lb. squirming pig!!! How would he know what a 50 lb. squirming pig feels like huh?????

    • I’m sure Mom and Dad will be sharing pix of our Christmas stuff again this year. I think people will be sharing more of their decorating efforts – we have more time to do things like that this year don’t we?!?!?!

  8. Its OK to be spoiled Teddy! You are loved SO much, that is why!

Masks are so readily available now, there is no excuse not to use them anymore…

We wait with anticipation for our ordinary quiet lives to resume…but we won’t hold our breath…sadly we think it will get much worse before we see an end to the mess we are in.

Pawppy is doing his part in staying home ~ Hah!

    • I suppose it can be a little lonely to be an only (!) but it’s also nice to have Mom and Dad’s undivided attention. It’s a toss up – I might like a companion that I can chase around and have fun with but by one on one with my humans works for me too.

      Hugs, Teddy
