SPARK and Reminder

Standard

It’s Monday and time for SPARKS!   What exactly IS this Monday SPARK thing we do?   Well, most of you know that Annie of McGuffy’s Reader – who started SPARKS – was hacked and has been on an extended break from blogging although her idea to spread some inspiration on Monday of every week goes on.   Many of us who participated in her SPARKS Blog Hop and found value in sharing a thought on Monday continue doing that to hopefully give each other a “Monday boost” – perhaps something to think about to inspire us in the week ahead OR help us deal with something that’s on our mind.    Why not join us by sharing something that SPARKS you?   It might just start a spark in us too.

We obviously just celebrated Thanksgiving and now we have the “countdown” to Christmas.    A season of giving……………giving is something that can make you feel EVER so good – watching someone’s expression when they open a gift is a gift in itself!     I spent some time reading over MANY quotes about giving……….then I found this one and it spoke to me:

I had to think about it for a minute too……….which is the kind of quote I enjoy.   One that makes you really think.    I actually believe someone TOLD this to me some years ago – maybe it took a little bit of time for me to “get it”.

Happy Monday!   Hugs, Pam

Angel Sammy and Teddy would be upset if I didn’t remind you that tomorrow is Teaser Teaser class…….the post will pop into your inbox at a surprise time then it’s all systems go!

Also today is the three year mark of the day that my precious boy Sammy left for the Bridge.   We miss him more than we can express.   Always will.

  1. I miss Sammy too. We become like a big family and every loss is felt by us all. I miss Sammy especially as I always thought of him as my boys overseas brother.
Hugs to you and David as you remember your precious boy.

Hugs to you from me and Teddy! ❤

  2. That is such a perfect depiction of Angel Sammy there with his wings and precious face. I love the saying too and how true it is. Sometimes we don’t know what our gift is. But as we travel through our lives, we become aware as those we give our gifts to, make us aware of the gift we give. Yours is compassion and mercy, I think.

    • You are too sweet………you are EVER so right though – sometimes we might THINK we know what our gift is but in the fullness of time we come to KNOW FOR SURE. You are full of kindness and empathy – among other things! Cat Moms have ❤ !!

    • Hello!! Well, this year it was the only “holiday” theme I could find on WordPress – usually there are several choices. The layout is just the theme layout………but I’m glad you like it!!!!! I’ll go back to the usual after Christmas – kind of fun to “redecorate” for different holidays/occasions….!!!

  3. Sweet! ‘Tis the season for thinking about gifts – of all kinds – inner, outer, ones you buy, or ones you recognize in yourself or others. Thinking about gifts and thinking about our buddy Sammy. xoxo

  4. Oh Pam I figured Sammy’s anniversary was coming soon. I miss him a lot too. He was such a sweet man cat & a wonderful ‘Uncle’ to Purrince Siddhartha Henry….both gone like Easy Rider & so many others. We are one hardy bunch tho’. WE grieve & yet open our hearts to another 4 legged & we continue to blog & share our lives with our furbabies. Thank you for your years of friendship. You mean the world to me!

Mom and Dad’s hearts still ache………..you all know that feeling too. Anyway, sending all of you HAPPY THOUGHTS and love at the holiday. Again – thank you for loving Sammy like we do.

  8. Oh my, three years already. That means yesterday was the three year anniversary of Fiona leaving us. I cannot believe I didn’t think of it. I do think it was in the back of my mind, as we put fresh batteries in her star yesterday. It remains up throughout the year, but isn’t always on; though, I would like it to me. Sending all my love to our special angels. 😘💝😇🌟Janet and Kitties Blue, especially Mau

    • Time moves so quickly these days…..Sammy’s star goes up today – I told David we SHOULD have had it up yesterday! I wonder if Fiona and Teddy hugged in commemoration at the Bridge? David and I had a toast to Sam yesterday at 10:30AM which was when the light went out of his eyes. We miss him every minute of every hour of every day……………… 🙂 ❤
