It’s Thursday and time for Thankful Thursday Blog Hop hosted by Brian. A chance to voice what you’re thankful for – and if you just think about it I’m sure you can come up with a list of thankfuls. If you’d like to join in, click Brian’s badge above and link up with us.
We had more rather severe t-storms this week just as last week but we’re also having some nice days between – I am THANKFUL. No loss of power – no trees down – just nice WET days. I’m also thankful that my Chewy order for my special food arrived – Mom is thrilled that I like it – I am rather “selective” (a nice word for PICKY) about food. Another thing I’m thankful for is that I can share Angel Sammy’s poem with you again since I got it from him via Rainbow Bridge Email this morning.

POETRY TIME!
Hi friends……….good to be with you – even if it’s just once a week at least we can share some fun right? If you’re new to Poetry Thursday, every Thursday we get together to read the poems that we wrote based on the Thursday before photo that I supply each week. So today we’ll be sharing poems from last week’s photo. I try to find fun or challenging photos for all of us and all we do is write what we see, feel or think about the photo – fun huh?
Here’s the photo I gave you LAST Thursday, followed by my own poem for the photo – if you wrote a poem, let us know in my comments and give us a link where we can read your poem OR post your poem in comments!!
“OOPS”
Poem by Angel Sammy Kimmell ©July 27, 2022
Uhoh my little man
You fell into the “can” !
You climbed up on the seat
Trying to be discreet
The shelf behind the potty
Is Not for you Little Mr. Naughty!
Hand cream is not a toy
My little “toilet boy” !!
Let’s go change your clothes
Before our Mama knows
That’s what big sisters do –
Clean up and leave no clue!
I love this photo. So many different scenarios came to mind then I zeroed in on the thing he’s holding which looks like either liquid soap or maybe lotion – something my imagination tells me he was getting from the top of the tank or a shelf behind the toilet when he fell in! UHOH. Good thing he has a big sister to keep him out of trouble (at least in my mind). Hope you wrote a poem for this hilarious photo.
Here’s the photo I found for you for next Thursday when we get together again………….
Wheeee! This isn’t exactly Thelma and Louise but these girls look like they’re having a great time. We should have some fun poetry for this one. We’ll find out next Thursday when we get together again. In the meantime, please be happy and stay healthy………….
Love Always, Angel Sammy

Oh Angel Sammy that was a funny poem today. I loved it. I wish you’d teach me how to write poetry – I just don’t have the knack like you do! I miss you.
Big Hugs, Teddy
I love your poem!! II giggled as I read it!
mine is vaguely similar…
Teachable Moment
I tried to reach
The soap, to wash.
So I stood on this seat.
But – Oh My Gosh!
I made a big slosh!
Now I am stuck-
You’ll need a tow truck.
It’ll take a lot of help,
I wish them good luck.
This did me teach,
Not to reach,
Cause I’m just a wee peanut,
Who needs to ask-
For help, with each task!
(Our late-a-versary dinner was great and the food was wonderful…we all said lets go back another time!)

Nah, gotta tie it to the back bumper ala Clark Griswold! Of course, that would just make the old lady eating otter even meaner….

Love your poem,Angel Sammy! I had something very similar happen not so long ago but thankfully on a lesser scale. If I go to the bathroom in the night I don’t bother to put the lights on. I went sat down and went further than I expected. Ivor had left the seat up, something he never normally does!

Oh I’ve done that too – I suspect a lot of we ladies have in face when our hubbies go and forget they need to prepare the throne for their Queens. LOL

OMC…we absolutely love your poem today. That toddler sure is a little stinker! MOL. Sorry our mom didn’t get one written. She is being such a slacker. Mom thought of Thelma and Louise as well as soon as she saw that photo. It should be a fun one. Never worry about doing a poem – there are a lot of days I’m sure Angel Sammy would like to not do one! It is fun crafting a poem around a photo though – we loved this “toilet boy” and the one for next week is fabulous!
