It’s Double Duty Day!

Thankful Thursday and

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

First let’s talk about being thankful – because we are – all of us!   I’m thankful to be here in this home with my two parents who love me and spoil me rotten (Sammy told me they would!) and they think they are lucky to have found me at the shelter where they found Sammy so long ago…….(what they don’t realize is that Sammy arranged that to happen on purpose!).    Also I’m thankful that Mom and Dad let me go for long walks on my leash where I can explore the whole big yard and woods……….I love digging in the mulch especially!    Tee Hee      Would you like to tell the world how thankful you are?    Then click the above badge and go to Brian’s blog where you can join in the THANKFUL hop – use his Linky Tool, enter your blog address, post about what you’re thankful for and THAT’S IT!

The other thing we do on Thursdays is let my Angel brother Sammy continue with something he did before he left for the Bridge last December – write poetry together!!!     We are on our THIRD go-thru of the alphabet now and this week’s letter is:

“B” !!

Today you can write a poem about ANY word/thing that starts with the letter “B” OR you can use one of the prompt words that Angel Sammy gave us LAST Thursday for this week – what were they???

(1) Banana  (2) Bath  (3) Brave or (4) Balloon

Here’s the post Angel Sammy transmitted to me on my computer overnight!!!

Hello My Sweet Friends!  Greetings from the Rainbow Bridge!   I wrote my poem last night and sent it to Teddy to share with you today – I hope you wrote a “B” poem too!   Remember you can write about anything you want starting with a “B” or you can use one of my prompts.   I’m using the prompt “Bath”!

“Bath”

By Angel Sammy Kimmell 6-22-17

Some cats really love to get wet

But drinking from my bowl is as close as I’d get!

The first day I came to live in my house

When I was tiny – small as a mouse!

Mom said at the shelter I’d gotten quite stinky….

So she got baby shampoo and a cloth and put me in the sinky!

She washed me gently but I was VERY unhappy

She tried to clean me quickly and make it snappy!

She rinsed me off and sat with me on the floor

She kissed me and said that I was stinky no more!

A nice warm towel and Moms lap both felt good

I knew I’d landed in a GREAT neighborhood…….

That bath was the ONLY one that I ever had

I kept myself immaculate and never was bad

I kept my furs neat and clean as can be

Right up to the day that my soul was set free………

(p.s. we don’t need baths at the Bridge!!!!)

I hope all of you wrote a poem today to share with us – you can put it in the comments here on the blog OR give us the link to your “B” poem in my comments and we’ll follow you to read it!!    Next week we will do a “C” poem……………..you can write about ANYTHING starting with the letter “C” or you can use one of next week’s PROMPTS from me here at the Bridge – ready?   Here they are:

(1) Car  (2) Camera  (3) Cookie  (4) Carpet

OK?   I hope to see you next week – I’ll have another poem direct from the Rainbow Bridge for you and I hope you have something to share with all of us too!    Until then:

Love and Light From Angel Sammy

Thanks Angel Sammy…………..I like your poem.  Know what?   Even though Mom and Dad got me from the same shelter they did NOT give me a bath when they got me home that first day – I guess I wasn’t stinky!!!!

See You All Next Thursday!

Love, Teddy

We Did It!

We made it thru the alphabet again!   We’re THANKFUL for that!

It’s Thankful Thursday with Brian at Brian’s Home Blog and one of the many things we are thankful for is that we made it to Z with our poetic challenge – the second time through the alphabet and today we finish up with Z.     Then we’re going to do something a little different (for those who want to).   But FIRST – let’s talk “THANKFUL” – if you’d like to join in Brians’ Blog Hop and talk about how thankful you are and what for, DO IT.   Click on his badge above and use the LINKY tool and link up to the blog.    Share with the world what you are thankful for.

Teddy is thankful for Mom’s printer…………..WHAT???   Yes, strange but true.  He has a total fascination with the printer.  He can hear her turn it on and he comes running…….he sits quietly while it purrs, roars, gets warmed up then spits out a piece of paper she’s printed.   He’s fascinated.  Totally.   He doesn’t move………sometimes he will go over to it after she’s turned it off and try to turn it back on again.   He can’t QUITE reach the button on top and he’s not QUITE strong enough to push it down so no danger in him starting it but he obviously considers it a MAJOR item of fascination!

Excuse Mom’s messy office…….!!!!

Teddy also is thankful for his torn up, messed up, beat up, used up, barely there red kitty cube.    He plays with it until he’s exhausted then passes out partially inside on his back exposing his WHATEVER to the world!    Mom will turn around in her office chair and frequently sees this site – she couldn’t resist snapping YET ANOTHER photo of the little guy halfway in his pitiful old cube!

And last but not least, the little guy is VERY thankful that Mom has a studio couch in her office and he can lounge about on it and watch her work………..this is the first time she’s caught him in this particular pose though………..WHAT WAS HE THINKING?   Who knows.   We don’t try and figure him out- we just love him and his LASER eyes!

Now on to other business – let’s talk POETRY…………….in fact, let’s talk my THOROUGHLY POETIC THURSDAYS!!!

First of all thanks for sticking with me through the alphabet for “Time #2″……….it’s been fun and you all (or at least more of you than NOT) want to do it all over again so we will but with a bit of a TWIST.    Let’s do my “Z” poem though before we talk about “what’s next” OK?

“Z”

“Zany”

by Angel Sammy Kimmell, 6/7/17

Sometimes life just gets so busy

Every day can make you dizzy

Moving quickly to get things done

Busy days start well before the sun!

You don’t have to be real brainy

To realize that life is ZANY!

At the Bridge we take things slow

Here on Earth it’s GO GO GO

Even on a day that’s rainy

My poor Mom says things are ZANY!

Keeping up with the house, Teddy and blogs

She says her days “go to the dogs”

I think she’s feeling a little INSANE-EY

Which come to think about it, means she’s ZANY!

HAHAHA……not my best work that one but whatcha gonna do with Z?    I could have done ZOO but then again………….Mom says “Zany” fits her to a “T”…………….

So in order to make things more interesting as we begin next week to start AGAIN with the letter “A” and work our way through to ZANY Z…………………….here’s the plan.    If you would like to participate in my Poetic Thursdays, you can do one of the below:

  • Continue as you have with ANY word of your choice for the subject of that week’s poem…….any “A” word you wish for instance for next week, OR
  • You can write a poem about one of these PROMPT words for “A”      A poem about:    (1)  ants     (2)   anger   (3)   apples  (4)  ankles

I will be using a prompt but you can feel free to do as you have done and just use any subject for your poem starting with the letter of the week!!!!     How’s that sound?    Fun I hope!!!    So if you don’t want to use one of the prompts, you don’t have to!   Just have fun – WRITE A POEM – and share it with all of us!

Until Next Thursday!!!

Love, Angel Sammy (and zany Teddy…..)

Happy Thursday All!

Happy Thursday!     It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian at Brians Home Blog and YOU get a chance to tell the world what you’re thankful for.    This week I’m thankful for those of you who filled out Angel Sammy’s poll about Poetic Thursday – and we’ll talk more about that in a minute.   I’m also thankful for my friends – everyone is so kind and caring and it always shows but most especially when we’ve had so much loss of friends which we have had yet again lately.   Almost every day we get word of someone else crossing that Bridge……….it makes us sad even when we know those who are gone are no longer in pain, no longer feeling the effects of age, or some other problem…..we know their humans are sad to lose their “best friends”.     I wasn’t living here at the time with my Mom and Dad but I do know that they were SO thankful that everyone helped them adjust to life without my big brother Angel Sammy.    We hope TIME will help those who have experienced loss recently………..

If you would like to join in and tell everyone what you are thankful for – please click Brian’s badge above – you will be transported to his blog and you can join in the Blog Hop by using the LINKY tool.

Angel Sammy didn’t let me down (he never would do that!) because he transmitted to me overnight his poem for today’s Poetic Thursday poetry challenge.    Today is the letter “Y” and his poem follows this bit of info about our continuing with our Poetic Thursdays.

Remember the poll I conducted for Sammy’s Thursday Poetry Challenge?   Here are the results:

Sammy’s Poetry Challenge #2

Answer Votes Percent
When we last polled you, 75% of those responding said LET’S DO THE ALPHABET AGAIN….would you STILL like to do that? 11 73%
We asked you in October 2016 if you’d like to do something DIFFERENT for poetry day – if you would like that TELL US SO! Leave a suggestion for me or tell me in your comments!

4 27%

Now about the above Poll………………….we were happy to see that there were more votes for continuing with the Alphabet Challenge for poetry day but there were STILL four of you who wanted something different – – – – so we thought why not combine them?

Starting with NEXT week’s “Z” end of the alphabet poetic challenge, we will give you a choice what to write your poem about for the following Thursday.    We will use the alphabet for the FOUR choices!    Example:

FOR LETTER “A” I might say “write your poem using one of the below four choices as your subject”:

(1) Aardvark (2) Antarctica (3) Asteroid (4) Applesauce           What do you think?  Sound like a plan?   Next week you will have your usual Poetic Challenge though – whatever you want to write about starting with the letter “Z” goes……….but we will give you FOUR WORDS with next week’s post for us all to start with the following week – maybe I should use those “SAMPLE” words I just told you????    I’ll consult with Angel Sammy!

Greetings from the Rainbow Bridge my friends!   As promised, I transmitted this poem to my little brother Teddy last night in his dreams…….and he is sharing it with you on my behalf for Thoroughly Poetic Thursday!!!

“Y”

 “Yellow”

by Angel Sammy Kimmell, 6/1/17

Yellow is the shining sun

Yellow goldfinches having fun

Yellow buttercups in the breeze

Yellow lemon ice from the freeze!

Yellow grass turns green with lime

Yellow tarnish on silver over time

Yellow nip nanners are a kitty’s delight

Yellow moon shining in the sky at night

Yellow old love letters tucked away

Yellow sun hiding on a rainy day.

Thank you Angel Sammy………………..I look forward to your weekly “transmissions” of your poems AND to your continued guidance and love even though you are almost always at the Bridge now.   I enjoyed your visits and I’m sure you will from time to time but you are where you need to be now – and I will carry on taking care of Mom and Dad for BOTH of us!!!!

Now for some confessions………….Mom thinks I’m a crazy boy because I have totally destroyed the first “kitty cube” she got for me to play in…..I still have it mind you – but Mom got me a NEW one a while ago – a pretty blue one which is not receiving the degree of KITTY KRAZIES that the poor red one did.    So here’s the deal – I want to keep BOTH of them and I play in BOTH of them all the time – every single morning in fact.   Mom and I hang out in her office before Dad gets up and part of what we do is play like crazy in my cubes!

See how wonky the old one is – from me laying all over it and beating it up like mad – bunny kicking, biting, attacking, etc.???   I can’t help it – I love playing in it and using it as a launch pad to land inside the blue one.   Yes – this is part of growing up I guess – destroying toys and having fun!    Also that purple ribbon is my current FAVORITE toy.   I drag it all over the house – this morning Mom found it on her pillow and didn’t even know that I’d deposited it there in the middle of the night!    Tee Hee

Tomorrow is Friday!   We’ll be doing the Friendly Fill-In blog hop…………will you??????????????????

It’s Double-Up Blog Day!

We celebrate Thankful Thursdays with Brian AND we also have Angel Sammy writing us a poem for the letter of the alphabet we’ve worked up to which this week is the letter “X” !!   First up is celebrating what we’re thankful for with Brian and you can do that too if you’d like to joint his hop – just click on the badge below to be transported to his blog where you can use the LINKY tool to put your blog link in.   We can then all visit each other!   Yet another thing to be thankful for – Brian hosting this blog!

Click badge to visit Brian!

This has been a very thankful week…..we’ve complained a lot but “secretly” been thankful for all the rain we’ve been getting – no bad storms – just a lot of WET.   That’s making this a gloriously green and flower-full Spring and we’ve thankful for that.   Some Springs have been dry as a Fall leaf and the lawn and trees have suffered but not this year.   It’s my first year with a yard so I’m appreciating it.  Angel Sammy told me that grass is delicious and I took his word for it and tried it and YUM.    My Mom is thankful that when she was getting handfuls of mulch out of the wheelbarrow as she and Dad planted some foxgloves that the SNAKE she almost picked up with the mulch was SMALL and somewhat disoriented so it didn’t bite her.    It was just a juvenile black snake but for Mom – they’re all boa constrictors or giant pythons.   She screamed and refused to touch the wheelbarrow!   Poor Mom.

Now let’s move on to Angel Sammy’s favorite “during the week” post which is his own “Thoroughly Poetic Thursday”.     He is at the Bridge but he’s still writing poetry AND giving me poetry lessons in my sleep.   Maybe one of these days I’ll give it a whirl, but until then, shall we see what he came up with this week for “X”??

Greetings friends from the Rainbow Bridge!    Coming up with an X poem was tough…..but I did it……at least I think I did!    Also, just a word about “WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO AFTER WE GET TO Z????”.     I know there haven’t really been a whole lot of you who have participated in writing a poem on Thursdays the two times we’ve gone through the alphabet BUT those who have, have had a lot of fun with it.   Just like I have.   Just like Teddy has AND even Old Mom who used to write a whole lot of poetry in “the old days” (tee hee).    Anyway, I’m going to leave it up to you all what we do from here!    I polled you in October last year and at that time you wanted to do the alphabet AGAIN.   I’m doing the poll AGAIN just to be sure and leave you a space to present your own idea – and we’ll be ready to do SOMETHING when we get to Z in a couple of weeks OK?   OK.   Take a minute to do the poll – I’ll sure appreciate it!   My poem for today is right after the poll.

“X”

“X Marks the Spot”

Poem by Angel Sammy Kimmell, 5/24/17

When I was still with you

I never had my doubts

You knew how to make me happy

I never had to ask and I never had to pout!

X marked the spot where my heart beat full of love

X-actly what it STILL does as I rest here up above.

X is where my tummy is, you loved to stroke my fur

X-actly the spot you’d pet and make me do a giant purr!

X is the empty place at home where I wish that I could be

X-actly the spot Teddy occupies now that my wings have set me free.

X will mark the place where I will be waiting for you one day

X-actly the way it should be though I had to go away.

I will shine down my love for all of you – look for me on my cloud……

Love is truly FELT, and not always said out loud.

Angel Sammy

Thank you dear brother……………!   My friends, please remember to answer the poll.    Never worry that your poetry “won’t be good enough” or that you “can’t write a poem” because inside all of us is a place – sometimes hidden – where we THINK poems all the time.   Let it fly free.    I’m learning that sometimes you can say something in a poem you wouldn’t otherwise say.   If you wrote a poem today on your blog, please put your blog link in my comments and we’ll visit you to read it!    OR, if you’d rather, you can write your poem in my comments and share it that way.

Until next week – where we’ll be thankful together AND write a poem too!!

Mommy helped me to a somersault JUST FOR YOU!

Love, Teddy

Thankful Thursday Hop With Brian

Joining up with Brian’s Thankful Thursday hop – and you can too if you click on the badge above, use the LINKY tool and put your blog link in.   We have a whole lot to be thankful for including all our wonderful friends………and it makes us remember not only are we lucky to have the friends we have NOW, but we were lucky to know some of the friends we have had who are no longer with us.   Most notably, the last two friends of ours who are now gone – Angel Nellie and Angel Flynn.   We miss both of them more than we are able to express.

(graphics above from Ann at Zoolatry)

Today we also celebrate Angel Sammy’s “Thoroughly Poetic Thursday” with a poem celebrating the letter “U”!   If you have a poem to share, you can write it in our COMMENTS or you can give us your blog link where we can find your own fabulous poem for “U” !

“U”

“Up”

By Angel Sammy Kimmell, May 4, 2017

Up and away the breeze will blow

Into the beyond where Angels go

Clouds awaiting up above

To carry the Angels in arms of love

Up is where we look to say our prayers

Our grief washes over us in darkest layers

But the light up above is bright and clear

Those who have gone are always near

Up and away one day we will fly

To join our sweet loved ones in the blink of an eye.

In honor of my friends……….(these are from Angel Sammy with Mom’s help)

Teddy here……………..my turn to say a little something.    I’m the new kid on the block but in my short time here I’ve not only learned a LOT about my Angel brother Sammy, but about all of his friends who are now MY friends.    Having both Flynn and Nellie leave so soon after I got to know and love them has been hard!    They were both such special members of our “family” in this community of blogging and I’m a little young and inexperienced in these things but I feel this heavy sadness in my heart – like my Mom says she has in hers.    We’ve tried to honor both Nellie and Flynn in our blog at their passing but words just don’t seem to come to express adequately how we feel.    I think my Mom is still struggling with losing Sammy and I know I have BIG PAWS to fill in regard to that believe me!

Anyway, we just want to say that we love all of you – and we love all of those who have gone before – and we know that they are with us every minute of every day but the heartache is sort of always there……..I’m learning fast how to love AND how to let go – it’s a lot for a little guy you know???

I love you all like I love my mousie!

Hugs, Teddy

Time For Double-Header Thursday!

Thankful Thursday with Brian and Poetic Thursday with ME!

First off – I will be THANKFUL and join up with Brian’s Blog Hop where we celebrate all the things we are thankful for!  You can click the badge above and join in if you like!

I am thankful for several things this week – well really I’m thankful for WAY more than “several” but I’ll just mention a few.   One is that we have a ROCK visiting us – Bashful from my pig friend Bacon’s “Hotel Thompson” and I must say, Bashful is being a VERY good rock.    I don’t have any new photos to show you of his escapades while he’s here – he has, in fact, been a very GOOD rock so far although other blog buddies he’s visited have reported that he can be a “handful” !    New photos coming soon I promise.  I’m also thankful that my Mom let me join Cat Scouts because I’m having a TON OF FUN.    My big brother Angel Sam is still a Cat Scout and still a Troop Leader there even though he’s at the Bridge now.   He’s super busy these days but joins me there when he can.    I’m also very thankful that we finally got a day of SUNSHINE after so many days of rain.   I am doing my best to get used to the harness Mom is forcing me to wear (Sammy’s old one) – I’ve never been “restrained” before so it takes some getting used to.    I walk three steps then lie down (Mom says I look like I’m hoping the harness isn’t following me).   HAHAHAHA

So there are many more “thankfuls” but that’s a start…………NEXT UP we have my brother Angel Sammy’s Thoroughly Poetic Thursday where he challenges everyone to play along by writing a poem with the NEXT letter of the alphabet as the title – last week we did “S” and he wrote about SNOW.    This week is “T” and what did he write about??    Well you’ll see below the badge!

“T” is for….

“Tiny Tigers”

By Angel Sammy Kimmell, 4/27/17

Mom has always had a thought

When she adopted me (and Teddy) what she REALLY got

Were tiny tigers – not cats at all

But mighty tigers standing tall!

Moving quietly on padded feet

Hunting for something good to eat!

Wild game is around everywhere we look…..

YOU see a chair, a rug, a book

But WE see buffalo, gazelles, and hyenas galore!

We hear them running across the floor!

We pounce and leap and attack with joy

Even though the reality is, we’ve caught a TOY!

We love to pretend we’re big tigers you see……

But we’re just ginger kitties who PRETEND to be free……..

That was a good one Angel Sammy!   You’re a poet – and we ALL know it!

Monsieur Angel Sammy – my special brother AND poet!

Did you write a poem today?  If you did you can post it in our comments section if you like so you can SHARE it OR you can put your own blog link in my comments and we’ll go visit you and read your MASTERPIECE!!!

Go ahead! You can write a poem I just KNOW you can!

Oh go on! Just TRY!

So Angel Sammy and I will see you next Thursday for another Thoroughly Poetic Thursday?    We will be doing a poem starting with the letter “U”………….no I’m confident Angel Sammy will not be writing about UNDERWEAR…………honest!

OK – enough talking – let’s play!  I wanna be a TINY TIGER!

Love, Teddy

Double Post Day!

(First of all sorry for the confusion yesterday – Mom ACCIDENTALLY hit “publish” instead of SCHEDULE for this post and you got a notice a day early!   We quickly deleted it – but here it is again on the RIGHT DAY!!!!!!)

First part of my blog today is for THANKFUL THURSDAY.    Today I’m VERY thankful – Why?   Many things but today I’ll tell you just one reason – Spring is popping here finally.   As recently as one week ago we had a frost/freeze warning but for the last several days we’ve had WARM temps and the little leaf buds on the trees are bursting open in leaps and bounds!    Our pink dogwoods have pink blossoms and the little dwarf Japanese maple has leafed out – the maple was my FAVORITE spot to stay cool in the summer and we think Teddy has figured that out now too!

Front Garden 2012

Want to share what you are thankful about?   We are sharing by joining Brian’s THANKFUL THURSDAY blog hop………..all you have to do is click the badge, go to his blog, use the LINKY TOOL and enter your blog address – SHARE with all of us what you’re thankful for.  EASY!

Now for PART TWO of this post and that’s my Thoroughly Poetic Thursday post……………….this week we are up to the letter “R” in the alphabet so the poem needs to be about an “R” thing!

“R”

“Rabbit”

By Sammy Kimmell, April 13, 2017

It’s a well known Easter habit

Watching out for the Easter rabbit!

He comes when everyone is sleeping

On bunny feet he does all his creeping

He hides eggs around the house

He’s QUIET as a mouse!

Kids will carry their baskets around

To see how many eggs can be found!

Sometimes the bunny leaves candy –

The basket will sure come in handy –

For carrying around all your treasures….

Such fun is impossible to measure.

Easter Rabbit makes everyone SMILE

Makes older folks feel like a child.

The Easter holiday would not be complete

Without those visiting RABBIT feet!!

Next Thursday we will celebrate the letter “S” as we make our way to the end of the alphabet for the second time here on the blog!    I hope you will join us – it’s not too late to join in today – you can write a poem and put it in my comments OR if you have a poem done on your blog – leave us your link so we can HOP over and read it!    Try some poetry – you’ll be glad you did!!

Thankful for Poetry!

Today is Thankful Thursday with Brian but as you know it’s also my Thoroughly Poetic Thursday………..If you click Brian’s badge, you will be transported to Brian’s blog where you can use the Linky Tool to enter your OWN blog post about what you are Thankful for…….

As for me and what I’m thankful for – today I’ll tell you that I’m THANKFUL for poetry!   My Mom has always written poetry – as far back as she can remember.   Mostly for herself but in later years she edited a book of poetry for a publisher and contributed some of her OWN poetry to the book as well.   One of the poems in the book was actually contributed by Maya Angelou.    That publisher has long been out of business but Mom says she met a LOT of wonderful other writers through that experience.    Poetry is a good way to talk about things you might otherwise NOT talk about or to tell a story with rhyme.     Anyway, her love of poetry led to us creating our Thoroughly Poetic Thursdays and some of you participate by writing your OWN poems and posting them HERE on my blog or giving us your blog link in my comments so we can FLY to your blog and read your poem!    We’re working our way through the alphabet for the second time – honoring a letter of the alphabet each week with a poem about something starting with the next letter………and today’s letter is “Q”!

“Q”

“Questions”

By Angel Sammy Kimmell, 4/6/17

Cats ask questions ALL the time!

“Can I have more food?  Is this toy mine?”

Sometimes no words are needed, we have our way….

If we park in front of the door, do we REALLY have to say?

“Can I go outside?  Can I lie in the sun?”

“Can I chase the birds and have a ton of fun?”

If we sit by our food bowls it’s plain to see

Our question to you is “Can you please feed me?”

Questions are important – we know you ask them too!

Like…..

“How did I ever get along without YOU???”

Next week we’ll celebrate the letter “R”……………..and as we work our way to “Z” we’ll talk more about whether we should keep doing Poetry every week or some other fun thing we can do together!    Meanwhile, put your thinking caps on – oh – and don’t forget to ask a LOT of questions of your humans – they LOVE to talk so I’m sure they’ll be HAPPY to answer them!!!

Oui Oui, Mon Amis…..Je Suis Le Poet Extraordinaire!

Coming to you direct from my cloud at the Rainbow Bridge

Extra Extra Read All About It!

Teddy and I are Cat Scouts as you know – well Teddy is in the Scouts “CARDWOOD DERBY” Race and would REALLY appreciate it if you would VOTE for his fabulous Milk Truck (I know that sounds wacky but Scouts can be a bit wacky sometimes……the rules say you must post a photo of you INSIDE your vehicle AND  your vehicle has to be made using a cardboard box but it can be ANY kind of vehicle!!!!!)………Here’s Teddy and we wish we could show you ALL the cars but they are on the Cat Scouts site which you can’t see unless you’re a Scout.   Trust me – Teddy’s is the BEST (tee hee):

Today we celebrate the letter “P”

“Paws”

By Angel Sammy Kimmell, 3/30/17

A kitty’s paws can say so much

A claw in anger or a loving touch

Our paws don’t just move us from here to there

They can tell a human how much we care

We touch your leg when we’re at your feet

A reminder that we’re THERE and ready for treats!

We need our paws to climb a tree

Must keep an eye on the neighbors dog you see!

We need our paws to play with our toys

If we give them a poke they might make a noise!

Some cats have special paws like ME

We are equipped POLYDACTYLY !

There you have it everybody…………..our Thursday “Double Bubble” post!     If you have written a poem for “P” like my brother Angel Sammy, you can either write your poem in OUR comments here on OUR blog or you can give us your blog link where we can read your poem there…………either way – why not write a poem today for fun?

Tomorrow is Shopping Around The World being guest hosted by our buddy Da Phenny.    Remember to post your recipe for a dessert or special yummy treat and link to Da Phenny’s blog and also to Bacon (our usual host for “Shopping”)  !    Tomorrow is also Friendly Fill-In Friday at McGuffy’s Reader and 15and Meowing – lots of fun with this hop as we learn more about each other!

First of all we can say that we are VERY thankful today – we’re thankful Spring is finally beginning to REALLY Spring after we had snow last week………we’re thankful that Teddy continues to keep all of us laughing our socks off every single day………we’re thankful that we got our brand new double wall ovens yesterday – that means Mom can make TWICE as much biscotti…….and we’re thankful that so many of YOU follow our blog and pawticipate in the fun like Saturday’s BACON HARVEST!    If you click on the badge below, it will take you to our host for Thankful Thursday – that’s Brian!!  You can go there and using the linky tool enter your OWN blog post to share why you are thankful.

Now for Part Two – our Thoroughly Poetic Thursday poem….

Today we are writing a poem about something starting with the letter “O” !

We are slowly but surely getting close to the end of the alphabet………..we might do something DIFFERENT after we make it to “Z” since we’ve done the alphabet twice now.    We can talk about that later though – right now let’s see what we can come up with for “O”!

“O”

“Orange”

By Angel Sammy Kimmell 3/23/17

Orange is a “lively” color, full of sunshine fun

Perfect for a kitten who lives his life on a full-out run!

The energy he has is amazing and so fun to see

Reminds me for sure of a very young ME.

He flies around the house, up and down all three floors of stairs

He has no regard for SAFETY so I keep him in my prayers!

For Teddy there are only two speeds – “rocket launch” and “sleep” –

His kitten brain is always working but his thoughts aren’t really deep!

He plays and eats and plays some more until he’s had his fill.

Mom has said she wishes the energy he has was available in a PILL !!

One thing’s for sure, our orange boy has brightened up the gloom

His “orange glow” lights up the night in every single room.

Adopting Teddy was OH SO RIGHT, my Mom and Dad did well…..

I set the stage for another orange boy…….now I can rest a spell…………

YAY – we squeezed out an “O” poem and I must say that I know someone ELSE who used “ORANGE” for their “O” today and it’s my new pal Cooper Murphy Blue at The Cat On My Head!   Cooper is a ginger boy like Teddy and the new boy in the household at Kitties Blue.    He also knows all about orange so we thought we’d both do ORANGE today.    If YOU want to pawticipate in Poetry Day, you can write your poem right here in my comments to share with everyone OR, leave us your blog link in my comments so we can come visit you and read your ODE TO O !!!

A reminder that my BACON BASH is Saturday………………..TODAY is the deadline to send in a photo of yourself in harvest gear if you want to but again – it’s not a requirement – just come to the party on Saturday and enjoy yourself and the “bounty” of the bacon greenhouse.    Those who want to send me a photo of yourselves in harvest clothes will be in the “HARVESTERS LINEUP” Mom and I will do so everyone can see you in your harvesting GARB!    We will be having a ton of fun and the party is ALL DAY so no matter when you stop by, you’ll be able to enjoy yourselves!

Questions about the Harvest Party?   Just ask……………we’ll get back to you!!    Meanwhile, HAPPY THURSDAY EVERYBODY!

Happy Thursday !!
