Gosh it seems like months and not days since I did a Selfie post. Mom somehow thought that she’d be up and around in days after her hip replacement surgery – HA! If she’d asked for my opinion of course I would have said WEEKS not DAYS. It’s a slow process – the fact she’s not a spring chicken probably has something to do with it. HAHA Seriously though, Mom’s doing very well – we have had a home health nurse and a P.T. therapist here off and on the past several days since Mom got home and they say she’s doing OK. It’s a long process.
SO – even though Mom is SORT OF back – she’s not taking photos so we’re resorting to FLASHBACKS. Sorry about that but I’m sure that will change. Meanwhile we love being in the Hop again and if you’d like to join us, click on the badge above and link up with us. Thanks for our hosts at The Cat On My Head for hosting this great say to say HI to each other on Sundays.
This little gem is probably familiar………………..it’s from January 21, 2018. I know I’ve used it several times on Selfie Sunday but I figure one more time won’t hurt right? I’m lying on a piece of Christmas tissue so I assume since the photo was taken in January of 2018 I was still I LOVE with tissue. I probably should ask for another piece – maybe I could fall in love with it again?? HAHA
I had done this as a puzzle before but I downsized it for you to 99 pieces. Several of you did the puzzle before and your “times” are posted at Jigsaw Planet on this puzzle! Anyway, click the MINI-ME below and you can try try try again!
That’s about it for me………as I said, Mom isn’t up to full-time blogging yet but one of these days we’ll be back in your inbox regularly. Until then, we do miss you all. A LOT!
So glad you are getting there! Don’t push yourself too hard though. Hugs 🙂

Thanks – I’m relaxing my “requirements” of myself a little. Considering I’m taking showers on my own, dressing myself, moving AT ALL even with a walker (!) – I guess since it’s only been one week since surgery I’m doing pretty well. I think I’m just too darn hard on myself!!!!!!

OH, that on-your-back photo is priceless. And mama wants to rub that tummy, grrr…..
We send your mama good, good vibes and energy and positive thoughts and love and hugs. It must be very hard to come back after having the body…er…changed a bit. BUT she WILL come back and use any photos as many times as you like. WE DO!!! haha.

Hi Miss Suzanne! Glad you like that belly shot – you know me – I’m kind of “known” for my tum. Thanks for all the vibes and energy – Mom needs it. She’s doing well according to the home health people visiting us but she had WANTED to recover like she was 20 years old and not 74 years old. HAHAHAHA I’m keeping a close eye on her! So is Dad!
Sending you hugs !

Oh, you know that mama does the same thing and she is….over….70 also. They are just young at heart, no? But the body has to be dealt with carefully over…er…a certain age.
Good health to you all.

I am glad your mom is doing well, although I did think she was being ambitious when she said she would be back in a few days. Keep looking after her and make sure she doesn’t try to do too much and set herself back.
Best wishes to you, Pam.

Hi Miss Jackie! My Mom made her mind up she was going to be the world champion hip replacement recovery time winner. NOPE. Her hip had other ideas. She is taking her pain meds and behaving again. Dad and I had to sit her down and give her the rules AGAIN. She really did want to get back to things quickly but I think she thought she was 47 not 74. HAHAHA Glad you liked my tummy shot – an oldie but a goodie!
Love and Hugs from Mom AND me too!

HA! You figured me out. I am not a belly rub fan……I will let Mom near me any time of course but if she can’t resist my tum and gives it a pet, I curl around her hand and move to a quieter nap spot. So I am what you might call a “TRAP”. HAHAHAHAHA

Teddy, glad you and your Dad sat your Mom down and told her to take her pain meds and not be so hard on herself. She will be feeling much better as her hip begins to behave. It needs time to heal. Sending good and positive thoughts for healing and that the pain begins to let up. Sending her gentle hugs. Your Sunday Selfie is adorable and thank you for the puzzle.

Hello, Teddy and Miss Pam! Nice to see you here once again.
Yup, let your body tell you whats what…then just go with the flow. LOL! Easier said than done, right?? You will get there, trust me, you WILL!
PT can be heavy duty exhausting as well! Pawppy knows all about that kind of stuff, too…but he had to go to the PT office you are blessed to have them come to your place.
Teddy, are you watching what they do, so you can make sure she does all the things correctly after they leave?? You have to be Mr Nurse Kitty AND Kitty Therapist!
Hang n there all of you, we love you and we want touy to heal properly, which cannot be rushed:)
Nice rerun selfie, Teddy!! Us Meezer Angels used to love all that wrapping paper stuff too:)
Heavenly purrs and a lot of licks and tail wags from us hooligans

thanks for the encouragement. We can control a lot of things in life but healing isn’t one of them. I have to turn that over to the experts and do what I’m told to do!! I’m making progress finally……I really will be happy when I can walk without all the “equipment” but for now I’m grateful to have it. I’m also happy that I could have home health with nursing and P.T. In a couple of weeks I will be doing outpatient P.T. at the Clinic.

thanks a bunch. I really never thought this would be so tough – mostly it’s my own impatience causing a problem. I’m not one to sit and sit and sit some more. Thankfully pain medication makes it difficult to do much beyond sitting and letting things heal properly! Have missed blogging AND everyone’s blogs.

Hi Teddy! Our Mom thinks that tummy of yours is fabulishious! She would just LOVES to rub it! Mom bought Queen Nellie tissue because Sammy loved his so much and Nellie loved tissue. There was always tissue on the living room. Funny though, none of us is a tissue shedder! Mom still has a big box of the stuff!
We are glad your Mom is getting better. Recovering form the hip surgery takes a while, but she will be up and running around before you know it! We are sending her healing purrs! Have a marvellously Happy Day!

Sammy loved the fact that some of his kitty friends tried tissue out when he made a big deal of it back in his day……it really made for a fun toy. I enjoy it too but not as much as he did. Maybe he was King of Tissue and Nellie was Queen of Tissue (and the world) ???
