It’s SELFIES Sunday with our friends at The Cat On My Head. We usually feature a picture of ourselves – hence the title “SELFIE” but sometimes I like to get extra wacky (or is it creative??) and feature something ELSE as a selfie. Today is one of those days.
We have a landscaping service coming on Monday to blow all of the leaves that totally cover the front and back yard into our woods……….there will be three guys with huge backpack blowers and if it’s like last year – it will take almost 3 hours to do. Better them than my Dad (so says my Dad). Anyway, what’s that have to do with SELFIES?? I decided to feature our backyard for my Selfie today – I have had the best time playing in the leaves. They are everywhere – can’t see a blade of grass. I think the essence of Fall deserves a Selfie…………
Actually this looks pretty boring – I’m going to pump up the volume a little with Lunapic.
Well you have to say that I pumped up the volume alright – I used the “NOUVEAU” art effect and if this doesn’t make for an amazing puzzle – nothing does! All I can say is it will be hard to have a FAST puzzling event with this one!!!!

I know I will since it’s the “salad” I enjoy having every day! Mom will too since she’s the one who fell on slippery wet leaves a couple of weeks ago…..Dad – well Dad doesn’t mind the leaves as long as he doesn’t have to blow them off the yard!!!!

We do have a nice back yard and the woods in back go down to a stream. We have deer, opossums, skunks, groundhogs, chipmunks, all kinds of birds visiting the bird feeders and of course SQUIRRELS!

Good luck, buddy. Your dad made a good decision there. When the lawn guys come here to clean the leaves, there are a gajillion guys with backpack blowers AND a couple of giant trucks with vacuum suckers to eat the leaves! Yikes. Mom keeps me inside so I don’t freak out and bark at them. Plus she closes the windows and sliding doors because they are NOISY!

I love the back yard/woods Selfie! Didn’t your Dad and SSNS have the same super sucker for the leaves? SSNS doesn’t miss doing all those leaves but I miss him hoovering the leaves… hahahaha! He doesn’t miss his leg killing him from keeping his foot down on the go fast pedal either. Seeing your woods makes me miss our woods but only in a good way… a great memory.

Mom and Dad quit using the big pull behind the mower leaf sucker a few years ago. Dad has been blowing them with his backpack blower BUTTTTT these last two years he just can’t manage with his back SO we have landscapers doing it. They did a great job last year!!!! We do love our woods – a lot – especially in the Fall!
