Friendly Fill Ins Hop

Standard

Happy Thanksgiving PLUS ONE!    It’s Friday and time for some filling in with our co-hosts!    My Mom is no longer in a turkey coma so she is able to help me get the filling in done.   The four sentences our co-hosts gave us are below…….AND as we often do, my Mom and I shared filling in duty.    If the words are hers – they’re in GREEN but if I’m the provider of a word – my words are in BLUE!

1. I would like a place outside where I can play or watch the world go by without parental supervision of my own.  (Don’t get me wrong – I love that Mom or Dad or both of them escort me always when I ask to go outside – I know I’m more safe – but if I had an enclosed yard they could be inside if they want to and I could be in my yard unsnoopervised!)
2. On Black Friday, I _don’t intend to shop at all – I’m just going to RELAX!
3. For me, the holiday season begins the minute Mom and Dad put the Christmas tree up – I love my “under the tree naps”
4. If I won a large sum of money, I would love to be rich enough to pay for food and shelter for EVERY homeless person and pet – and believe me I know it would take ZILLIONS of dollars but it would be the first thing I bought

Sometimes the filling in is tougher than other times and this was one of the TOUGH ones.    It made us think of a lot of tough issues – especially #4.    Who wouldn’t want a huge sum of money – so  many things come to mind when you imagine what you’d do with tons of it.    Anyway, we did our filling in and now Mom, Dad and I are going to just have a quiet Friday together.    No shopping – just relaxing.    Mom and Dad will probably have turkey leftovers and me – I intend to have lots of NAPS!
Thanks to our co-hosts for the fill-in fun every week and if any of you are doing Black Friday shopping – GOOD LUCK!!!

Hugs, Teddy and Mom Pam

  1. Beautiful portrait of you and your mama, Teddy. And yes, there are so many things to repair and heal with lots of money. So many need it. Maybe a little fenced area to just groove in but I’ll bet you have a lot of windows to gaze from in winter, no?

  2. We fenced our garden for the boys. There was already an 8′ hedge down one side separating the garden from a paddock (and to keep out prying eyes from the country lane.) There is a big closed barn down the other end of the garden so it wasn’t such a big deal having to put up 8′ overlap fencing down the other side. After the boys had left us, Ivor cut 3′ off the fencing so we got our view of the river back.

  3. My mom hasn’t had an interest in Black Friday in years. She was always working. Cyber Monday meant nothing either…too much on her mind with work. So, she got out of the habit. And, she dislikes pushy crowds.
Indeed, some of the fill-ins are things requiring thought. I was aware of that this time as well with number four. But Mom said just now to me that as you finally grow up in your MIND, assuming you were guided by your parents as you were growing as a child…you become increasingly aware of your caring duty toward other people’s need. And the needs of innocent animals of all types who need your care. We are their stewards.

  4. Nice fill-ins – even though they were a little tough. Even with a fenced in yard, I think your parents would worry too much if you were out there alone, T. When I am on the balcony at our apartment, Mom checks on me 8,000 times. I mean where does she think I’m going?? #parentsamiright

  5. Great fill ins, and philanthropy is a great way to deal with extra funds. Wait, extra?? LOL! It is always a blessing to be able to share our blessings with those who are less fortunate, be they people or animals.

An enclosed patio or even the whole yard would be great. We discovered the pleasures of our totally fenced in yard way back in 2007 when MJF got to enjoy non-snoopervision. (After 4.5 years of no fence at all.) Though of course it wasn’t cat proofed…

If I recall correctly, I think the late Mr Pete had his yard enclosed and cat proofed for Timmy and gang.

Enjoy your non shopping and way more pleasant day of relaxing…we are staying home too! Our sons came and went, and now its all quiet here once again. And we have some left over turkey and pumpkin pie to indulge in, YUM!

    • There is a wonderful fence that is cat-proof but it’s expensive AND besides – Mom and Dad get some exercise in the yard when they’re trailing around behind me. We have a picnic table back there and I like to get on top and have them sit there with me and we solve the world’s problems (HAHAHA) together!

  6. Very excellent fill-ins, especially #4. If mom had any money she would definitely open a shelter for kitties. Mom always says, “no,” to Black Friday shopping. Love and hugs to all.
