SPARK on Monday

Hello Everyone………………….Monday means SPARK – and after I remind you what SPARKS is all about – I have a special SPARK for today to share with you.  What is SPARK on Monday????  If you don’t know what posting a SPARK is all about, here’s the history!   SPARKS is a Monday tradition – how did it start and what IS IT?  “SPARKS” was started by Annie McGuffy of McGuffy’s Reader but ended when her blog was hacked some time ago.  It was meant to be a way to start out each week with with a meaningful thought – something that spoke to each of us and hopefully everyone else who read it.   Although Annie isn’t currently blogging, a lot of us who enjoyed her SPARKS decided to keep posting SPARKS of our own.   Why?   Because sometimes we need a little “spark” in our lives and these posts were meant to at least be a PART of that effort.   Please feel free to post your own SPARK on your blog and let everyone know you have…….we get energy from each other that way.

My SPARK today is just a little reminder to have fun this holiday.    Life is a little tense yet again this Christmas – like last Christmas was in many ways.    I wanted to lighten the load for all of us.    You have probably SEEN this before but if ever there was something to make you laugh – well – I think THIS is it.

Let yourself giggle – it’s good for you……………we all have days when there really seems to be NOTHING to be happy about – or even to smile about.    That’s why things like this video are good……it lets all that “stuff” you’re holding onto melt away as you watch this clever bit of video.    I personally wish it was a lot longer than it is!!

I also want to wish you and your family and friends the happiest of holidays.    Teddy and I BOTH wish that for you.    Thanks for being our friend and for following our blog.   We love doing it and have been posting at One Spoiled Cat since 2011.    Can’t think of a better way to spread a smile……………….

    Speaking of being silly…and having a fun time, including plenty of giggles…well, I was the epitome of silly at my work this weekend. I found a big penguin-Santa hat…complete with snowball pigtails…I added some beads and jingle bells and wore that thing for two evenings. It made all the peeps I was caring for laugh, even on the second day! Their laughing and giggles made my work much easier and more fun…and made me smile too. I even wore my matching penguin socks over-top of my pants…tee-hee! Even the staff grinned at/with me!
    Some of the family members who were visiting appreciated the fact that I was silly, they clearly understood what I was doing and why:)

    There are some other videos like the one you have…they are all funny and cute! Thanks for showing us one!

  2. OH, you absolutely made our Monday start with hilarity…LOVE the guest stealing the silver! Priceless. What a briliant way to lift our sagging spirits, Pam and mate and Teddy. Teddy you are so lucky to have your creative mama and papa to keep you safe and snuggle you. I’ll bet they are planning a little dinner party for YOU….Oh and thank you for putting Loulou’s cousin at the head of the table, even if she did not seem to dig in as did the others, That cousin always was a little vague and ditsy…but we love her all the same.

    • That video just makes me laugh like crazy every time I watch it. So clever and cute and SILLY – we all need a little bit of “silly” from time to time!!! So happy you enjoyed seeing it – this time of year we should all smile more, hug more, giggle more and ENJOY more. Sending you all a big basket of love!!!

    • You are absolutely right. Every day is what WE make of it – regardless of how the rest of the world may be, we can be in our own world and fill it with love and happiness – sooner or later the REST of the world will do that too and we will be…………BACK !!!!!

  25. Love the video for some good old fashioned Christmas cheer. My favorite part is that the very well-mannered cat is sitting at the head of the table with the portrait of cats behind him. Cats are so much more civilized than dogs. Teddy, if you know any, please don’t tell them we said that.     • HAHAHAHA…..my lips are sealed. I SOOOOOOOOOO love this video – the cat is being ever so cool……while the others at the table are a hot mess. LOL Anyway, I guess during the holidays ANYTHING GOES. This bunch is having a blast!
