Happy Hopping! That’s right – today is Blog Hop day for those of us who want to share our Sunday Selfie photos. If you’d like to join us, please click the badge above and go to our host, The Cat On My Head and that’s that.
My Selfie today is silly; my Mom and Dad know that I rarely drink water from a bowl of water or even a cat fountain – I simply won’t do it no matter how fresh and inviting it may be – even when Mom puts an ice cube in it on a hot day! Nope – I am and always have been a SINK DRINKER. I politely ask though – I do not ever jump up on a counter – I ask Mom or Dad to please put me up there, run some water into the sink and let me pretend it’s my very own POND. Sometimes I will settle for running water from the faucet and stick my head under there to drink but hey – I’m twenty pounds of kitty and leaning down to get my big old head under the faucet sometimes is a problem. But fill the sink up and give me a nice big pool of water and I’m in heaven. I ask for this every morning FIRST THING. I like to mix it up too – sometimes from Mom and Dad’s bathroom sink and sometimes from the Guest Room sink – my little way of keeping my parents on their toes!
So Mom jazzed up this photo a bit with Lunapic’s art effect called “FRIDA” and then added a skinny little border with Pizap and VOILA – big old ME ready to have a pond drink. Of course we HAD to give you puzzle freaks a jigsaw in case you’re in the mood for it today…………..but either way – we hope you have a fabulous Sunday and we hope to see you on the HOP!
Click This Mini-Me photo for the jigsaw puzzle!!
You sure do have it all organised. Me, I wake staff up for food rather than water, but I have water added to my food, so it sort of balances out, MOL
Have a great day, Teddy

Well ERin, Mom tells me I’m TOTALLY different from my predecessor, Angel Sammy in every way including water and food things. I like being DIFFERENT….tee hee. Sammy drank water from a water bowl but I avoid my water bowl like the plague. I prefer RIGHT OUT OF THE FAUCET. It would have been great if I’d liked the fountain I had but I only played in it and made a big mess instead of drinking the water!! Yes I have a mind of my own. Still I do love it when Mom fills up the bathroom sink and I can drink from it like it was my own personal pond! HAPPY SUNDAY!

Yes, we are spoiled! My little step sis-fur, Gypsy, “soaks her nails” in her water bowl… sheesh…kids, these days! And I use the word “little” only to describe her age…she’s quite a bit “plumper” than I am!

Well I guess Miss Gypsy likes to have her paws nice and clean in case a particularly toothsome treat comes her way! Mom and I didn’t know that Gypsy was more “fully figured” than you are Sundae!

Teddy, yours and my parents totally completely spoil us rotten! Of course, the next thing to say to THAT statement is: is “your point is”??? So, spoiling is the right way to raise a fur baby. I vote yes!
LikeLike
Oh I vote yes too Katie…..spoiling indeed and all we have to do to keep them “bonded” to the thought of spoiling us is give them “THE LOOK” or just curl up and show our tummies or do anything CUTE and they are putty in our paws!

Garfield likes to drink out of the sink too. Maybe it’s a ginger thing. Hope you have a great week. Going to be really hot and humid here today.

You have done a great job training both of your folks 🙂 They need to get you one of those faucets with a motion sensor. Very pretty art, I am off to do the puzzle. XO

Oh that motion sensor thingie would be wonderful but I won’t go on a counter on my own. Mom says I must have been trained NOT to go on counters. So I’d still have to ask Mom or Dad to put me up there.

Teddy your inner Tiger is coming out. They love to drink from ponds too.
WTG to your wise peeps for figuring this out but OMCs I do love water always have loved water..from day one. For nearly 14 years I had fountains …but I’m a messy eater and I drop food in them.
Mom is a stickler for food free water so now I use a bowl and it gets changed 87 times a day.
MOL that is how this Diva rolls

Madi my dear – you can roll any way you want and if you don’t believe ME, just ask your Mom and Dad!! They are the BEST. Today is the monthly birthday pawty at Scouts – the theme is “DOG DAYS OF SUMMER” and you’re supposed to dress up like a dog. Tee Hee……I’m gonna be a bulldog!

Oh, I’ve trained Mommy, that’s for sure! I get served breakfast wherever I want to eat! MOL Kitties are good human trainers.

I agree……I’ve got my parents totally trained now about my sink drinks. All I have to do is sit at their feet and give them THE LOOK and they know it’s time to follow me upstairs to one of the bathrooms to fill up the sink for me! We kitties really know how to “manage” our humans WAY better than they can manage themselves!

Biskit is sometimes particular in that he’ll only drink from one of the empty tins of cat food if I pour a little water in it….. particularly when Ody is going through one of his diabetic phases and is guzzling what’s in the bowl as soon as I pour it. The aluminum can might make it taste a little cooler than the ceramic bowl…

The aluminum and the flavoring from the cat food that previously occupied the can probably make it a rather exciting little slurp like a custom martini for Biskit! Cats are so interesting………..

Very arty art! I like it! My cats have never been sink cats. They’ve been drinking more water lately, though, because it’s so hot!

Yes I think the weather has caused Ted to want more “pond experiences” here too. Cats know better than humans when it’s time to hydrate. LOL

Hi Teddy! I did your photo and it took me 38m 13s. I will probably have another go later in the week to try and get the time down a bit.
Eric and Flynn used to like water straight from the tap so I used to leave the water trickling slowly for them. They had a fountain but I had to turn it off at night because Eric used to dig all the water out.

HAHAHAHA!!!!! Yep – that’s EXACTLY what I did with my fountain…..I wouldn’t drink I’d just play and make a huge mess for Mom to clean up. Those fountains are brilliant ideas but – well – even when Mom put a big mat under the fountain so it wouldn’t get all over the floor I still managed to splash it EVERYWHERE. I really love the nice STILL “pond” in a full sink though – OR to drink from the faucet. Mom says we’ll never know why/how that came about but I guess in my former home that’s the way I was taught to drink water. Good thing my parents accommodate me huh???!!! As for the time on the puzzle – that is BRILLIANT – it was a larger puzzle than usual too!

Well, we don’t think Mom would let us on the counter to get a drink of water, but it sure sounds like fun. We do enjoy a cold drink so Mom keeps a bottle of water in the refrigerator for us all the time. Cold and fresh!!!

Well we kind of figure that there must have been a human in my life before I was at the shelter – someone who taught me not to get on a counter. Not sure why I want only faucet water but at least I was lucky enough to have a new family that understands me!!

Mom is excited to do this puzzle, but it looks pretty hard. (And you know, she will bump it to 300 pieces). What do your mom and dad do when they are’t home? We never thought of that before. Do they leave a sink full of water? Mom cannot imagine having to pick you up whenever you want a drink. But we know your Mom and Dad will do ANYTHING for you. Sending lots of love. Well don’t tell anyone but Mom and Dad always leave a big bowl of water for me on the floor because they know I won’t get up on the counter if they’re not here to ASK. They know I WILL drink from the bowl because they can tell I’ve had water when they get back……but if someone is HERE, I prefer and demand (!) water from the sink – and being the spoiled boy that I am, I always get it.
