Friendly Friday Fill-In Fun!

Standard

Friday Fill-In Time!!!!!

Our “FUNNEST” Hop – filling in sentences courtesy of our co-hosts McGuffys’ Reader and 15andMeowing……….we just have to fill in the blanks and hop on the Hop and voila – we get to visit and see inside other people’s heads from what they’ve filled in!   Pretty cool huh?   Well we think so and that’s why we join it every Friday.   Each of our co-hosts gives us two sentences with blanks and we fill ’em!

Here are this Friday’s sentences and I let my Mom fill in number 3 I did the others!   My words are in GREEN and hers in RED.

1. Snow isn’t as much fun as I thought it would be to play in – it’s COLD on my feets!.

2. I am excited to have my very FIRST Christmas.
3. One holiday memory that I cherish is Christmas morning breakfast made by my Dad.  Homemade sausage gravy and biscuits.  MMMMM!.

4. I always thought that Santa was a big jolly old CAT with a beard but the photos I see of him – he’s HUMAN!

There you have it!   Our Friday Fill-Ins!    If you want to join in the fun – just click McGuffy’s badge at the top of the page and it will take you to her blog where you can fill out the LINKY form and become “one of us” ……….you’ll be glad you did.

Love and Holiday Hugs, Teddy

  1. Visiting from Annie’s for Friendly Fill-ins. My feet are cold and there’s no snow. It’s just plain cold without the fun white fluff! It’s really disappointing learning the truth about Santa but there’s a little bit of Santa in us all and who’s to say your Santa doesn’t live in a jolly old cat somewhere. 🙂 Have a Purry Christmas!

    • Hi Miss Cathy! Thanks for visiting. We don’t have snow – YET – today but supposed to get an inch or so. I think Santa lives in our hearts – if we think he’s there and believe he is – then he IS. The spirit of Christmas isn’t Santa or presents and we all know the reason for the season for sure – but the FUN of Christmas is Santa, smiles, laughing, and yes – presents under the tree!

      Love and Merry Christmas!

    • HAHA…….There always is some good snacks on the road or roadside but something tells me I wouldn’t enjoy that as much as the kibble stuff Mom gives me! Besides, the big blackbirds and buzzards around here would probably carry me away if I tried to visit one of their “road meals” !! I don’t really mind going out in the cold and in fact ask Mom to take me out on my harness often BUT I have to be careful not to SIT DOWN because I don’t really like that COLD TUSHIE thing!!!! BRRRRR!

  2. I love the snow, but my cats agree with you!

Santa is magical, so he’s whatever you want him to be! You’ve seen photos taken by humans – they expect him to be human and so he is! I’m sure if you are lucky enough to ever see the real Santa, he’ll look exactly as you imagine. 🙂

  3. I love your answers! Yes, if you need to walk on snow, boots are recommended. But, don’t feel bad, even the Shelties have trouble when it gets below 20 degrees. Great memories, too! Grampy always made corned beef hash. He & I are the ones who loved it, though. Bill could eat sausage gravy and biscuits every day! There is a diner here that was run by a retired NY cabbie. He had the very best biscuits & gravy. The sisters who bought him out when he retired to FL kept his recipe, but somehow it was never quite the same. HUGS!

    • Love the story about the NY cabbie’s diner cooking……even though I make “Daddy’s Sausage Gravy” it really is NOT exactly like his – I’ve tried for almost 15 years to get it just right and I think maybe it just wasn’t meant to be JUST LIKE HIS. The memory of his is what counts anyway. We are big corned beef hash people here but I’ve never made my own……I’ll have to do that one day.

      Love and Happy Friday!

    • Well like Clowie said, I think Santa is what we all think he is and looks like we “want” him to look. If you see the old “original” Santas they are far from the Santas we grew up with – a lot less “cuddly”. No matter what though the spirit lives on…….As for my Dad’s gravy – I will try to duplicate it just as I have all these years but there must have been a secret ingredient I never knew about because it’s just not the same! 🙂

    • Oh I’m sorry – but speaking of sniffers, is your Mom’s all well now from her cold/earache? I hope so. Nobody wants a sick Mom for Christmas and I’m sure she wants to PAR-TAY it up big time for the holiday!

    • Dalton you silly guy – but it’s a good idea – standing on two for a second or two then switch to the other two, etc. LOL Anyway, I’m just staying INSIDE…….we have a bit of snow today – not much but it’s still COLD and only 29 outside. I am in love with the heating vent!!!!

    • Yes I think I’m gonna like it a lot. So far I like being under the tree snoozing, and I have a stocking on the mantle along with Mom and Dad’s – so I assume there will be some STUFF in there for me!!!

    • Yeah Cupcake I was shocked too! Who knew? I think I kind of wondered when all the photos I saw of the guy showed him up on TWO legs instead of four like one of us would be! Well, as long as he brings presents to us, we don’t mind that he’s human right? Right!
