Happy Monday. You know what Monday means…………SPARKS. Time for an inspirational thought – a little something to get us through another week. Everyone is invited to participate by posting their OWN thoughts on their blogs – SPARKS inspire all of us! “SPARKS” was started by Annie McGuffy of McGuffy’s Reader but ended when her blog was hacked some time ago. It was meant to be a way to start out each week with with a meaningful thought – something that spoke to each of us and hopefully everyone else who read it. Sometimes we need a little “spark” in our lives and these posts were meant to at least be a PART of that effort. Please feel free to post a SPARK of your own on your blog and let everyone know you have…….we get energy from each other that way!
I don’t think I need to explain my SPARK today – it speaks for itself……………..it’s also PRECISELY what I believe…………..really!
I really have NOT always had the best of everything in my life – I had a lot of tough times – but I always tried to tell myself that I’d just carry on and get through whatever it was and move on. I really have tried to make the best of everything even the difficult times. Not always easy to do but made things BETTER.
Make it a good week…………………….!

that is a super spark. it is our choice what we make from the lemons life throws at our head, right ? and we can make something great with it… lemon cupcakes with a signature ;o)

Life is full of struggles… some easier to deal with, others not so much. I just try to deal with them in my own quirky hesitant way or if I am feeling courageous I hit them full on. It just depends on how strong and confident I am feeling. Some things feel like mountains too big to climb for me while others just make the climb with no hesitancy. I just have to do it my way and keep the anxiety down. I know I have to do something that works for me because we have to just keep moving, or like Dory from Nemo the movie says,,, just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming!

Yes indeed life is not smooth sailing for MOST people…..and doing what is right for “us” is the BEST way of handling almost EVERYTHING including the GOOD stuff!! Dory was smart…. 🙂

I’m with you Pam on your SPARK. We don’t live in the nicest condo, we aren’t able to take vacations/fancy trips and don’t have the “best of the best”………like you, I have always made the BEST out of it because also there are people who have far less than we do. It’s important to always be grateful for whatever you have because there is always someone much worse off. (((hugs))) you always have a fabulous attitude!

Caren you’re EVER so right – we may not be rich monetarily but we’re rich in other ways….we have love, we have food, we have shelter, we have each other and we have so much more than so many. We are EVER so lucky!!!!

Yup, I know all about this kind of wisdom. Its what gets me through many hard places in my life.
If we have a roof over our heads, food in our bellies and clothes on our back, then the rest is all icing, right?!
This is even a Biblical truth:
Philippians 4:11-13
New International Version
11) I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12) I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13) I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
The beginning of that chapter was our wedding text…and those thoughts have stuck with me(us) through almost 34 years!
