It’s Friday which means we are joining the co-hosted Friendly Fill-Ins!   McGuffy’s Reader and 15 and Meowing have Friday reserved for this FUN sentence fill-in game we play.   They each contribute TWO sentences with blanks and we fill ’em up!   Would you like to play along?   Just click the badge and go to McGuffy’s – use the linky tool and join in the fun!

Today’s sentences are filled in by my Mom………..her fill-ins are in GREEN!

1. Blind dates sometimes work!    My hubby was a blind date and just look at us now 27 years later!.
2. Fifty years ago, I got my first cat – when I moved into my first apartment and I’ve had cats ever since.

3. I admire people who will TRY something before saying “I can’t do that” because it’s a GREAT way to learn something NEW.

4. Reading makes me think about things I probably would never have thought about before.

Thanks Mom!   You did brilliantly………better than me………….I don’t know what a blind date is for one thing!!!!

Now if you’re all finished Mom, let’s turn off the computer and NAP!

I think a blind date is like when I go to the hospitals on my therapy cat visits… because I sure don’t know who I’m going to meet!

I suppose it COULD have been impressive if Hubby #1 and I had stayed together BUTTTTT we didn’t – so now David and I are celebrating #27! Ellen ALSO met her hubby on a blind date…….these things sometimes DO work out!

I am glad your blind date worked out as well as mine did 🙂 Once one has a cat, you always need to have one, they are that special. I like your answers to #’s 3 and 4 too. That photo of Teddy napping is so adorable. Have a great weekend! XO

It seems that blind dates caught a few of you! That is great! Bill and I met through a mutual friend. It is kind of interesting. It took him a few years to convince me we were more than friends, though.
I got my first cat about 48 years ago. It was right after I got Velvet, my first dog.
I agree with your answers. We think alike. Hugs.

Let’s see……only ten – I usually only had one cat at a time but once had THREE at once. I would like to be able to answer that question of yours with a HIGHER number but I usually lived in apartments where one was the max!

Great fill-ins! We especially like your numbers 1 and 3. We think all our Colehaus Cats as being blind dates. First look and we were hooked! Always love it when people do things and later say, no one said I couldn’t do it so I just did!

  12. Blind date! Was it love at first sight and it made you swoon??

Yup, a nap sounds good right about now…as petcretary is about to leave for her work…so we will be ready when pawppy gets home a little bit after she leaves…then we can pester him, MOL!

Well, not quite swoon and not quite first sight but I did think his silver hair was gorgeous and his light blue eyes were amazing……..we got engaged two years later!
