SPARK on Monday

Standard

Hello Monday – seems like yesterday when I was looking for my Monday Spark……..time is so crazy these days.  Time for us to share a SPARK.  What exactly IS this Monday SPARK thing we do?   Well, most of you know that Annie of McGuffy’s Reader – who started SPARKS – was hacked and has been on an extended break from blogging although her idea to spread some inspiration on Monday of every week goes on.   Many of us who participated in her SPARKS Blog Hop and found value in sharing a thought on Monday continue doing that to hopefully give each other a “Monday boost” – perhaps something to think about to inspire us in the week ahead OR help us deal with something that’s on our mind.    Why not join us by sharing something that SPARKS you?   It might just start a spark in us too.

I was thinking the other day about aging.    It kind of sneaks up on you doesn’t it.    One thing that’s interesting is that when I think back to when I was in my 20s and 30s I can see CLEARLY that decisions I made were made with my heart……..NOT with my BRAIN.     Now I’m just the opposite.   I kind of like that.   Not that I’d change my youth for anything other than it was but I feel like I think about things in a more logical fashion now than then.

I saw this poster about aging and just HAD to share for SPARKS this Monday………………….my “oh so logical” brain still goes its’ own way sometimes though!

Hope you all have a great week…………………I’m hoping for some rain and less heat here in Virginia………………….The weather gurus let me down for July 4th though – I had hoped for torrential downpours so fireworks would be cancelled.   Nope – didn’t happen.    It was without a doubt the noisiest 4th in our community EVER!    So much for wishes huh?

Hugs, Pam

    • We think that’s totally true……and here in our town if it DOES rain, they just move it like you say. I think people did the same – they had called for possible rain on the 4th so the idiots in the neighborhood had a fireworks bonanza on the 3rd, then when the weather forecast was better on the 4th they went out and bought another zillion dollars worth of fireworks and did it all again! BOOOOOOOOOO!

  2. I have a wandering brain and sometimes in the middle of a thought/conversation my brain gets lost and I have to tell SSNS that forgot where I was going. I think it is mostly due to stress over the pandemic and a few other things that are going on. Aging does sneak up behind us but I truly don’t feel my age in my head but body is beginning to protest! Good Morning, Virginieeeeeeeeeeee!

    • I think you’re right about the pandemic – it’s messed with our minds !! Hoping maybe one of these days SOON, we will ALL be seeing numbers going down down down so we can begin to feel normal (or as close to it as is possible!). Sending you some energy to face whatever stuff you must deal with (!) and GOOD MORNING FLORIDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

  3. Snicker…boy can I relate to today’s Spark! There is something to be said for making choices once you’ve had some experience. It’s always nice when you reap the benefit of that experience. Have a fur-bulous week!

  4. I sure can relate well to that quote, MOL!

And I see that happening a lot with the sweet peeps I look after…too sad…

Then again there are others there whose bodies didn’t keep up with their owners…while their minds are well preserved.

The heat is oppressive here too, thankfully the AC works well to keep us comfy…

  5. Pam, I had a good chuckle at this. Tom and I used to say that between the two of us we had one complete brain. Each year that percentage seems to go down. Our brains wander away regularly. • My Mind wanders almost as far as my feet do…..lately Mom is a little miffed that my feet are wandering too fast and far for her taste – it’s not my fault – – – there’s a bumper crop of bunnies this year – they are everywhere! A guy can restrain himself for only so long!!!!
