Farewell and Filling In

Two Part Blog Today – First We Say Farewell…..

Yesterday we lost another dear friend…….the beautiful Ellie.    Two of the posters we’ve seen so far for Ellie are above, but I have no doubt there are many “artistic” versions of the Bridge’s new Angel Ellie – sister of Raz and Allie of Friends Furever –  she was a sweet girl and a most beautiful girl.   The perfect little lady.   Petite and loving and we know her family misses her.   She passed to the Bridge in her Mom’s arms………….Angel Sammy and SO MANY OTHERS were there to hug her……….   We’re sure that her family would appreciate you visiting to leave a message.

This world of pet blogging is such a wonderful, friendly, warm world – when one of us goes, we all mourn – we all feel the pain – most of us have been through saying that goodbye.   But because most of us follow a lot of blogs, we are saying goodbye in this pet world more frequently than ever before.    It’s never easy – it’s always sad but we also know that we will all run out of time one day and when that day comes we will go to the Rainbow Bridge.    Angel Sammy has promised to be there when I arrive and I know he will.

The second part of our post today is the Friendly Fill-Ins which is a Blog Hop co-hosted by 15andMeowing and McGuffy’s Reader.   If you click on the badge below, you will be transported to McGuffy’s and you can use Annie’s LINKY tool and put your blog address in to join in the FUN!

Every Friday each of our co-hosts provides TWO sentences with blanks and we get to fill in!   Sometimes I let Mom do the filling in and sometimes I do it and sometimes we BOTH do!    Today I thought I’d be extra nice (!) and let Mom fill in.   Her fill-ins are in BLUE!

Here are today’s sentences:

1. My favorite line from a film is “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn!” (I use this a lot I must admit – just ask my husband).

2. Other than blogs, a website I visit often is Amazon.

3. When I feel down, I play with Teddy – he absolutely makes me laugh more than almost ANYTHING else!.

4. If I could live my life over, I would NOT change a single thing.

So there you have it – another Friday bites the dust…………..we hope you all have a GREAT weekend – and we also hope that you’ll stop by tomorrow to get “BACONIZED” on my blog full of bacon!   I am, you know, the King of Baconia……..I take my duties as your King seriously just as Angel Sammy did!

Love Forever, Teddy

  1. I felt every heartfelt word of yours in this blog today regarding our blogs and how we feel when one of (ours or one here in the CB), fur babies passes on to the Rainbow Bridge. Our friends here at home and around us love us, but many times they simply cannot understand the intense pain when our fur babies leave us. Here, we know that those who read about it know and fully understand, and they hurt with us. There is great comfort knowing you aren’t alone in your sorrow.

    • The pet community we are part of total understands everything about loss and dealing with illness and OUT of that understanding comes caring and a DEEP sense of loss when any of us has to say goodbye. Picturing them in a “better place” like the Rainbow Bridge helps us come to grips with the loss – but the emptiness stays for so long. Having each other as friends – friends who UNDERSTAND – is a priceless gift.

      Hugs, Pam

  2. That was a wonderful tribute to Ellie, both badges are beautiful. And thank you for participating in the fill-ins, I loved all your answers. That is a great movie quote. Cats are better than therapy, although therapy is probably cheaper 🙂 I am glad you wouldn’t change anything about your life, I wouldn’t either. Have a nice weekend. XO

  3. Beautiful tribute to Ellie and angel badge for her. Mom is almost numb from all the losses. It is just overwhelming, which you indicated. All of us are mourning right along with Sharon, Bill, Raz and Allie. Mom really likes your #4 answer. She has a few things she would change, if that were possible, but not anything big or any of us or the wonderful friends she has. Sending lots of love to you, dear friends. 8. I am sad to hear about Ellie, too. She’s such a beautiful kitty and I know her folks love and miss her very much. It is so hard to say good-bye.

We love Amazon, too. It is just about the best commercial website out there.

I think kitties are a lot like duct tape and Windex…cuddling with them can fix most anything. 🙂

    Have a blessed weekend.

  10. A lovely tribute to Ellie. She will be missed by all that adored her…like the Crotchety Cougars and all her blogging friends.

Your fill-ins were very good and mom said she would have thought she’d filled them out because this is what mom would have said.

  11. You are right, we are always losing loved ones, but the Internet, with its social media, brings it all to us in rapid-fire. And, our furkids just never live long enough, no matter how long! It breaks our heart…and then our heart is mended with new loves…the circle of life. HUGS.

    • It’s true – Mom says we should remember that new life and new starts happen ALL THE TIME……even humans “wear out” but maybe all of us get another chance in a new life – who knows…………..

    • Awww…..thank you……Mom knows how hard it is to lose a furbaby – I am sure it’s a big adjustment in the household. I’m sure Angel Sammy is helping Angel Ellie get used to the Bridge!
