Time for Fun, Friendly, Friday Fill-Ins!

This week Mom and I decided that BOTH of us would do filling out of this week’s sentences! We’ve been switching off each week and thought we’d both dip our toes in this time around. SO, my fill-ins are in BLUE and Mom’s are in RED!
Here are the sentences we had to fill in:
1. My favorite way to exercise is NOT to do it in the first place (haha)! Take a nap – I twitch around a lot when I sleep and that counts as exercise!
2. Something I learned last week was that I don’t look as horrible in capri slacks as I thought I would. Not to try something NEW in my diet – I really paid for that experiment!
3. I am sentimental about my past – I have been through a lot but I wouldn’t change a thing – I’m content with it My toy box…..I don’t play much any longer but once in a while I go sniff everything and stare at all my toys and think how lucky I am .
4. Some people may find it surprising to know that I’ve written three books, co-authored another book with four other female writers, and edited a book of poetry for a poetry publisher. That I am now allowing my Mom to give me my medication by hand and no longer does she have to sneak it into my food!.

Today is also our Friday housecleaning day……………some of you asked about the Broomhildas – well they have become so popular that we have trouble getting on their schedule so today, we are doing our own thing here at my house…………….EEEEEK!

We miss the Broomhildas…….but Mom is working on getting another cleaning crew in to help us old folks out…………..you’ll know all about them when we find them believe me!

I’m trying to be brave – so far so good but you know, it’s tempting to whine and put up a fight when it comes to medicine! I think it’s nice that you want your Mom to pick your toys out – some days some toys are just RIGHT and others are WRONG so letting your Mom pick is a good idea!

Those are good answers from you and your mum, Sammy. I am glad you are being good to take your pills. I don’t like them either but take them because I know they are helping me. In fact we both know it, and it is helping us to stay with our families for hopefully a long time yet.

You are 100% right on Flynn. Just knowing if we didn’t take our pills we might be gone is one thing that definitely is keeping us around to take care of our humans longer!!!! I’m so glad we’re BOTH here!

Mom is very happy not to have to hide the meds in my food – it never really worked well – now all she has to do is risk my sharp as sharks’ teeth toofies from chomping down on her fingers as she shoves that pill in the back of my throat! Mom is adjusting to the capris – she says she feels naked. HAHAHA

Mom says going up and down the three floors of our house all day long to “attend to my needs” is enough exercise for her! HAHAHAHA

My human is surprised, reading this week’s fill-ins, how many other humans hate exercise! She loves it. In fact, if she doesn’t exercise, she gets in kind of a bad mood (something about exercise raising endorphins, I gather). I love exercising too – but then, I am not even quite 2-1/2 yet.

My Mom USED to exercise but she has leg problems and even walking sometimes bothers her…..so she’s a lazy bum instead (tee hee) which means I have more LAP TIME available!!!!! Good for your human – she will be healthier for that effort!

Those toys of ours that are torn into bits are the BEST aren’t they? I got a toy when I was a baby from someone – it was made out of lots of rubber rings…..it’s all gone except for one of the rings and I carry it around with me all the time. If we love something (even if it has no eyes, ears, feet or tail) it’s purrrrrfect anyway!

That’s the trouble with a cleaning outfit. They are just not reliable. Hope you find a new crew so your mom and dad’s life is a little easier.

So with your Mom on exercising BUT I know I need to get back to walking! I do not know why your Mom would think she would look horrible in capri slacks!! I think it is great that your Mom is able to give you your meds by hand although it was interesting how she was using different ways to get you to take them. Just happy you are taking them, Sammy! I don’t like taking my meds either… blech!

Meds taste icky but Mom sticks that thing WAY BACK on my tongue and I hardly notice how disgusting it is! On the slacks – Mom has that HUGE ugly scar on the back of her leg from her melanoma surgery (the first one) and since then (1997) she hasn’t worn “short” pants or even shorts! Silly Mom……oh well, she’s got the capris now so it’s too late – she’s been wearing jeans only so this is a big thing for her.

Mom can hardly believe I’m cooperating on the meds now either but I am – tired of fighting I think! As for my Mom – yep – she wrote a mystery novel and two kids books, and another book with friends…….but she hasn’t written (other than helping me with my blog of course) in several years now. “The thrill is gone”……..(she says)!

We used to “plug” her books but it was so long ago now that she doesn’t really mention them – there’s a link on my sidebar – it’s been there forever. This is her “spotlight” page at Lulu. http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/junekimm
She self-pubbed the kids books on Lulu and when her traditional publisher went out of business and she got her rights back, she did the same with her mystery novel……….BUT, the novel is also available on Kindle. Thanks your interest though!!

Mom says Good Luck! She didn’t really have the time either when she was writing but she would set aside even an hour in the evening or get up super early before work in the morning just to get some pages written……it’s tough sometimes but follow your dream (she says!).
