Another Monday

Standard

Just another Monday right?   I think of Monday as “the day before Teaser Tuesday”……….I bet some of you do too!   Speaking of that, I’ve got a DOOZY for you tomorrow.   It you ask me, it’s  downright impossible to figure out where this photo was taken – it looks a little bit spooky to me in fact.   But you’ll just have to wait and see for yourself.   Tee Hee

I spent the weekend enjoying VERY much seeing so many of my friends drawings by Thomas Dalsgaard Clausen, the artist  at http://onedrawingdaily.com.    We just think he’s incredibly talented to have captured so many of you in his drawings; some  done in ballpoint pen, some pencil, india ink – a variety of media but he just has a knack for capturing the “spirit” in each of us I think!    If you  would like Mr. Thomas to draw you, contact him through his website.   He’s on a mission to do a drawing a day for two years………I’ve put the drawing he kindly did of me on my blog front page.  I just love it.   Thank you again Mr. Thomas!

We had a WHOLE weekend of “Spring”……I’m a very happy boy……….I got to go out and enjoy the weather, and Mom got the lawn mowed for the first time and that’s when I know Spring has really and truly Sprung!

I hope that I’ll see you all tomorrow for the Teaser………..remember please that it gets posted every week at a DIFFERENT TIME…………….I just randomly choose a time and it gets out there to all of you………with the time differences, I’m sorry that some of you don’t get to see it as early as others or even AT ALL……but it’s still fun to tune in when you can and see everybody’s guesses  and the comments………….just plain fun!!!

See you in the morning!

Hugs, Sammy the Teaser Dood

    • I agree……it used to be more beautiful back when Mom had the energy to keep up with all the gardens but having pots of flowers on the porch and perennial stuff popping up in the front garden is ENOUGH!!

    • Bradfords are ornamental although they do produce a TINY little fruit that birds love but are not edible for humans (and also about the size of your pinkie fingernail!!!!)……….the best thing is in spring when they blossom with beautiful white flowers!!

      • Oh how wonderful though that the birds get a little fruit…I have been ooking at ornamental pears fro years but fear they would take one look at the ground here and promptly drop dead…as indeed the flowers are stunning and bright and just so very delicate and elegant 🙂 Hugs Fozziemum xx

  5. Spring is looking beautiful there at your place Sammy! Your Bradford Pears are holdin’ on tight to their flowers! I think it looks pretty here too but we have had rain and it is raining again this morning. Not complaining! The birds are non-stop chatter… crazeee! CH got the zero radius stuck in the ditch by the road yesterday and even Cubby the lawn tractor could not pull it out. THEN Travis, our very good lookin’ mower guy who could easily be my son.. showed up like an angel and got us unstuck ♥ I was so embarrassed… ^^’
Looking forward to The Teaser tomorrow and maybe a day with the sun!

It was a nice weekend though – picture perfect (even if we didn’t have a good lookin’ mower guy stop by our house!!!)…….glad you had a little “nice scenery” while he was there…….HAR HAR HAR

  8. The drawing of you is wonderful. I think that is so sweet of Thomas to be doing all these drawings for everyone. Phoebe is going to be getting one this week. Those bleeding hearts are gorgeous.

    • We love dicentra and yep – we do call it bleeding heart here too – that’s just what the flowers look like. Our has self-seeded the last several years and while we used to have THREE we now have 13. Just love them….they are a little bit “tender” and I always worry in early spring when they’ve begun to come up but this year looks like we managed NOT to have a frost!

    • We are in acres here and we have just under an acre and a half. A lot of it is in the backyard with woods but the “lawn” is in the front! Thanks for the compliments – Mom and Dad don’t have as much energy to keep up with things as they used to but we do enjoy seeing Spring every year!!

  15. Hi Sammy,
Those Bradford Pears look ever so pretty. 🙂 Ours have leaves only yet, as we only planted them a few days ago. But we’re looking forward to them blossoming next year. That, in combination with the Redbud we planted in between, should look ever so pretty in spring.
Your Mom and Da did a relly great job with your garden. Kudos to them.
I hope that you’ll be able to enjoy the garden a lot soon, with spring coming to your neck of the woods, too.
    Have a great week,

    • Oh Mr. Pit my Mom and Dad have talked forever about planting some redbuds as that truly is their FAVORITE….the bradfords are getting HUGE and need to be trimmed but since they ARE big, WOW on the flowers – they’re impressive. Next year you’ll have your own!!
