Purrsday Recap

I just KNOW you’re dying to see some photos from the Cat Scouts Mardi Gras bash – right?  How about just a few?  It was tons of fun!

The only other thing happening around MY house is this overwhelming cold and the snow we got – I couldn’t believe we got a “decent sized” snow but Mom reminds me all the time that one of the BIGGEST snows we’ve had was near the end of March five years ago so SNOW HAPPENS!   Just ask everyone living up north about that………….!   They’re STILL digging out.   We have been lucky.  Dad loves playing with his snowthrower thank heavens.

Dad loves playing in the snow!

Dad loves playing in the snow!

EEEEK!

EEEEK!

Mom has been putting bird food out like mad too………….everything on legs has visited!   Birds, squirrels, skunks, deer, we even saw some BIG hawks on the SMALL bird feeders.    When the weather is like this, everything needs FOOD for energy to do what they do.   Imagine how much energy it takes to FLY!

Have you pawticipated in one of Bacon/Fozziemum’s “Shopping Around The World” blog hops?   It’s really fun to see what everyone around the world pays for the SAME THINGS in their grocery store or wherever you shop.    This month’s post will be on Friday, February 27th.  Why am I mentioning it now?  So you have time to check prices and schedule a post about it!   Seriously.  It’s fun……………if you wanna play along, here’s the shopping list for NEXT Friday the 27th.   It’s a “RANDOM” day…….why?   Get the prices for these items:

1.  A Random Frozen Meal of your choice

2.  A Random Dessert you like

3.  Any Random Fruit

4.  A Random Item (ANY item…..doesn’t matter WHAT it is, just tell us what you PAID for it)

5.  A Random condiment of your choice

Very RANDOM isn’t it?    Well, that will make it more fun………….anyway, put it on your calendars.  I guarantee you it’s fascinating to see the amazing range of prices for the SAME THINGS around the globe.

That’s all the news that’s fit to share in my house for today……………..how about you?  Anything exciting going on in your house?

Hugs, Sammy

I LOVE IT!!!!!

I LOVE IT!!  Thank you Nellie’s Mommy!!

    • I think it really IS like mowing the snow with that thing…..it makes short work of the snow on our driveway but in the winter the snow “grows back” just like the grass does in the Spring! HAHAHA

        • Yes – what’s with that? Mom says boys never get too old to get glazed eyes when they play with their toys AND the other thing is that their toys seem to get MORE EXPENSIVE the older they get!

  2. Hi Sammy! Looks like you all had a great time in the Big Easy! We are having bitter cold but no snow here. Mom said it was a pretty quite Fat Tuesday here when she and the the other Ladies of the family went out since it was so frigid.

  3. Sammy my buddy. We love that your Dad enjoys blowing snow. WE are firm believers in helping folks do what they enjoy. So we have a few questions: what does your Dad charge to blow snow and how far will he go to blow snow?
We have a hilly driveway in NC that needs a big puff on it.

  5. Enjoyed the Mardi Gras photos Sammy! I have a day to myself because CH had to take one of our vehicles to the Sorta Big City because the dreaded little car on a lift graphic popped up! We celebrated National Drink Wine Day yesterday with a sweet MissouREE wine. I haven’t been out of the house in five days and the weather is not looking good till after the weekend! Been doing lots of reading.. 🙂 It’s a good thing your Dad likes playing in the snow. CH doesn’t like playing in the snow so he just hit garage door opener and drove out of the garage and beat the snow into submission by driving over it.. Ha! Enjoy your Thursday Sammy!

    • Mardi Gras was “Party Gras” at Scouts. Enjoy your day to yourself – my Dad thought about doing the “crush that danged snow by just driving through it” thing but he loves playing with that thrower toy so what can I say? National Drink Wine Day – good grief – Mom missed that – how is that possible? I’ll tell her to drink TWICE as much today to make up for it. HAHAHA

    • Oh I tried to tell Mom that feeding those silly burds was a mistake…….but as it turned out, we had more OTHER critters since she filled those feeders than burds! No fish though……I guess they don’t like sunflower seeds much! Happy Day before Flounder Friday!!

    • One thing about being there for Mardi Gras is you really do become “just one of the crowd”…..so many people you lose track of who you see and who you don’t see but the Scouts all stood out in our FINERY that’s for sure!

    • The beads are pretty too – Mom used to have one strand of them someone gave her but since she and Dad have never been they don’t have lots of them……for a long time I used to drag that strand of beads around the house like they were a murdered mousie I got! HAHAHAHA

    • HAHAHA……you can change the direction on the “blower” part to either side of where you’re clearing snow…..Dad always blows it in our own yard BUT we see people doing it both ways. Dad even went to the neighbors driveway and got it cleared off for them – they were out of town and came home to a NICE clear driveway!!!!

My Uncle and Aunt are battening down the hatches because of Cyclone Marcia. They have a “queenslander” on stilts and the cats spend a lot of time in the covered in bottom section. They have 6 cats but apparently all are safe and well!

  11. Look at all that snow! Mom was hoping for snow but we haven’t had any here yet. Now all the fruit trees are starting to bloom and she’s worried if it snows now it’ll hurt the trees. She enjoys reading the posts about the prices around the world and says we might include that this time. Stay warm.

    • Oh I hope your fruit trees don’t get frosty……that’s happened here before with the famed Washington, DC cherry blossoms…..if we have a late cold snap/freeze then it’s not so pretty down on the Mall!! See you at “Shopping Round The World” – it’s quite fun isn’t it?!
