Yep – it’s Fursday……..this has already been a very long week and it’s not over yet! Why has it been long? WELL! First of all my Mom disappeared yesterday for the WHOLE DAY. Imagine how incredibly bored I was for the whole day without her keeping me entertained. Dad was here but hey – there’s nobody like Mom – you know what I mean?
Then, as if that wasn’t enough excitement, the air-conditioner died. Yep – on a 94 degree day the silly thing just decided to give up the ghost and go over the Air Conditioning Bridge (there is one of those isn’t there???). And since Mom wasn’t here to keep Daddy calm – well – let’s just say the atmosphere around here was TENSE yesterday. Plus there was a stranger in my house (the A/C guy) – so when Mom finally got home from visiting Auntie Carol, Dad and the stranger were just finishing up their discussion. Tomorrow we get a new air conditioning unit and furnace. At least we don’t have to suffocate from the heat!
So you see what I mean? Tough week……….
Mom wanted me to thank all of you who wished my Auntie Carol a happy birthday yesterday – Mom was at her house when she opened up my blog to see comments on the Teaser Tell All and show them to Auntie Carol and she got to see all of your SWEET messages wishing her a happy birthday!!! It really MADE HER DAY….so thank you for that.

I didn’t get to visit ANYBODY’s blog yesterday so I’m behind. Please forgive me????? Mom promised me that we’ll make up for it today – I’ll get around and say hello for sure.
Meanwhile, I’m hoping that instead of having to nap in my tent all day, I’ll have a little lap time with Mom – it will make it a much more pleasant FURSDAY that’s for sure! Hope you have a grand day too!!

Sammy I am glad your mums back from the birthday tour 🙂 but boy when the air con passes away..the air gets yetch!!! I bet dad was very unimpressed..and don’t you hate a pop in from the strange air conman…hehehe lucky you were there to keep an eye on dad! Doc would be very unhappy and sure he was a Murdulator 😉
So you relax and rest up now knowing mums back the air-conman has gone and the world is good again for you 🙂

Hi Fozziemum…..well, sadly intruders will be arriving here around 9-ish to put in the new AC stuff – but I’ll be upstairs where it’s still cool keeping an eye on things with Mom! Dad’s got stuff to do and is leaving me and Mom in charge (scary huh???!!!!).

We’re standing by – the intruders should be here in an hour or so…..Mom and I are upstairs now and I’ll probably STAY up here while the guys do their thing. It’s supposed to take around 5 hours…..hope I don’t have to visit my litter box cuz it’s in the basement where the guys will be! MOM!!!! OH MOM!!!!! Let’s bring my toilet UPSTAIRS today!!!!

Sammy, glad your gifties arrived. Hope the bowl was in one piece. Those P.O. people can be pretty rough with things. That is awful about the A/C. We only have it in a couple rooms with window units, and mom gets really grumpy when she gets too hot. Hope all is fixed quickly and you don’t need to hide for too long in your tent. Hi Gang! My bowl came in one BEAUTIFUL piece!! My Dad thought it was bootiful too….this morning I got my breakfast in it – YUM – I’m SURE it tasted better in that new bowl. The new AC stuff will be installed today – thank heavens since it’s supposed to be HOT HOT HOT!

It takes three separate air conditioning units to cool my house (since it is so spread out), so if one breaks down, we kitties can all go to another part of the house while the humans figure things out.

Hi Sparkle! We have a separate system for the upstairs and THAT works fine (and is newer) – it was the downstairs AC that died so I just hid out upstairs in the cool yesterday!! The intruders will be here to install the new one today so I’ll be snoopervising from the COOL upper floor!! Tee Hee

Hi Sundae! Yep – you’re right – the last time we had ISSUES with the temperature it was also a summer and the upstairs heat pump died! It was in the 90s at night and opening windows made it worse! At least we all had a nice cool place to sleep since bedrooms are UP! YAY!

Hi Mollie! Yep – AC is a necessary evil when it’s in the 90s and the humidity is the same – it’s ICKY! Anyway, hopefully the guys will be here this morning to fix it and my world will be back to normal (well….it’s probably never really NORMAL but you know what I mean!!). 😀 😀

Hi Miss June! I think we would have never survived yesterday (me and Dad) here if not for the heat pump keeping things cool on the upper floor of the house – and my basement is ALWAYS cool – but the living room, kitchen, dining room and library were HOT HOT HOT. Today if the intruders arrive to put in the new system things will be AOK again!!!!! YAY!!!!

I did sleep in the basement last night actually and right now while the INTRUDERS are in the basement, I’m up on the top floor with Mom in the cool area…..the INTRUDERS will be here at least another 3 hours though. I’m glad I’m not HOME ALONE though…..at least Mom and Dad are here for reassurance purposes! 😀

We have been messing with our heat pump/ac since the end of April! We did the whole new kit and kaboodle too five years ago. Just replaced the coil and it is making freaky noises~bah! Hope the install goes quick for you Sam, thank the ac gods for zoned heating and cooling!

Hi Easy! I agree about my new bowl – it NEEDS bacon in it. I tried to convince Mom of that at breakfast but instead I got a can of wet stuff in it (which was pretty good) and Mom said “now remember Sammy this weekend we’ll put BACON in the bowl!!” so I guess I have to be patient. Not the easiest thing to do sometimes!

Oh YAH! You guys know all about that right? The best stuff is located in the refrig NOT in the pantry. Actually the guys did the AC thing QUICKLY and I’ve been able to stay cool AND keep an eye out for the refrigerator door opening so I can stick my paw in and grab something yum for dinner tonight!

It’s weird how things go that way – – – our heat pump died in the middle of the summer a few years ago too but we had to wait a WEEK before they fixed it! This time it was just one night – WHEW!!!
