Tuesday Teaser

Hello Everybody!

Did everyone (well not QUITE everyone but LOTS anyway) have a nice 3-day weekend?   We did…….we got in lots of R&R (that’s Rest and Relaxation for those of you who never heard of that term before) and food (we all have heard THAT word before!), and some fun thrown in (who doesn’t like that?!?!).

Yesterday was a day of remembering – which is what Memorial Day here is all about.  I did that post on my Granddad but also went around to all my friends and read their blogs with their own remembrances and it was one of those “bittersweet” kind of days I suppose.

But today – TODAY is another matter!  It’s that time again……..yep – you guys are getting awfully good at these Tuesday Teasers of mine and this one today might not fool you either but one thing I can promise you is that you’ll wonder who on earth took such horrible pictures?  Well, it was my Grandmom who took them – my Mom’s Mom – She took them on a trip back in the early 80s with an “Instamatic” camera.   She was traveling with a friend and they visited this ONE place although stopped at several cities.   My Mom has all my Grandmom’s old photo albums and sadly she didn’t take very good care of all her photos because the albums are a mess.  One of these days my Mom says she might get around to taking all of them out and putting them into decent photo albums.  In the meantime, see if you can see enough detail in these TWO photos to tell what country she was visiting?????

MysteryPhotosMay27Sorry about the horrible color – but what can I say?  Mom tried to adjust the colors a bit (obiously!!) because the photos were so faded.  I wanted to use these because they were INTERESTING!   I’m not sure, Easy, but I don’t believe you’ll find a garbage can in sight!!!  HAHAHAHAHA

I’ll be anxious to see how many of you guess this one………..I do believe there WILL be some correct guesses though because I have a feeling if you’ve been here (even though these are old photos) this place probably hasn’t change a WHOLE lot from about 35 years ago!  Some places are just like that……..stuck in time.

        • Oh so true! I had a devil of a time making these look like anything but a faded old photo – I probably went a little overboard trying to color it up BUT at least you can sort of make out what’s there!

  9. Oh boy, that’s a teaser. I can only guess. It must be a city without trashcans and church steeples (except the small tower on the left of picture #2 is one). I think it could be somewhere in taiwan, macau or hong kong area. I’ll bet tomorrow we all will be puzzled about the teaser-solution. My dad said it could be Portugal/Madeira… Have a fabulous Teaser-Tuesday, Sammy! I’m curious about tomorrow!

  12. We all put our long ears to the ground and our heads together and decided it was a place where there are lots of packs formed. And the peeps in that pack had to flee to a place where nobody could reach them, cuz who would want to climb those cliffs or brave that surf? It is a place where tsunamis don’t exist cuz if they did those peeps would not have built so close to the sand. And where is there any place for doggies to poop and pee? It’s obviously a pack that doesn’t have a lot of doggies! Love from Mattie the foxhound, Simone the collie and Eddie & Lucy the JRs.

    • Well! You guys really gave this a whole lot of thought didn’t you?! You looked at everything in the photos and decided a lot of stuff that’s for sure. You get an “A” for investigative work but I guess you’ll have to wait and see WHERE this really is when I do my “Tell All” tomorrow! Meanwhile, keep your Mom company and enjoy your day………that’s what I’m gonna do!

  13. Pam, finished your book yesterday. You must write a sequel. I must know what happens to these characters. Wish my kitties would let me carry them around like Eddy let Bailey, but I don’t feed them tuna regularly. Calista is about the only one who lets me pick her up and carry her. Hope to see more of Bailey, Kyle, Barry, Matt, Eddy (and maybe Sammy too) in the future and find out what decision Tammy makes. Thanks for sending the book, Janet

    • Hi Janet…..what a nice mini-review! I’m so glad you liked the book – I’d love to finish the sequel even if it’s just because Sam deserves to be a little star along with Eddy BUT I thought when I wrote “Bridge” that the characters were interesting enough – and the town was interesting enough – that they could support themselves in a series. Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed the read. That’s just GRAND!

    • Monaco huh? Wow…..my Mom has always thought that would be a cool place to visit – but we’ll find out tomorrow where my Grandmom was when she took those pix – who knows – maybe it was Monaco??!! (my lips are sealed until then..tee hee).

    The second pic I;m 100% sure it’a Praca do Comercio, Lisboa, pic was taken from Alfama, around Saint George Castle.
    The first one is likely to be Caiscais, a district in Lisbon.
    Pam, Sam, after all these weeks of me failing, you should close the entries after this post and name me the sole winer of this Tuesday Teaser.

    • Hi Doggy and Leo! You certainly sound POSITIVE – and that video certainly looks like a FANTABULOUS place to go on a vacation. Now you know as well as I do that I can’t tell until EVERYONE has had a chance today to take a peek – IF (and I say IF) you ARE right (and you sound pretty darned sure) then I’ll tell you tomorrow along with the rest of the world! After all, everybody should have a chance for a Sammy Hug right??? Right????????? 😀

        • Now Doggy and Mr. Leo you MUST play nice! If you’re right on your guess (and I’m not sayin’ until tomorrow!) then you’ll certainly get credit for being “Numero Uno” in the guessing game…..but if someone else wants to cheat copy you because they think you’re right – well – you ought to be the big hearted dog I know you are (and the big hearted guy my Mom knows Mr. Leo is) and SHARE THE HUGS!!!!! 😀

    • LA De Da! Monaco – my Mom would LOVE to see Monaco but this is Portugal and that’s yet ANOTHER place my parents have never been…..!! Grace Kelly was one of my Mom’s fave actresses and she remembers when she became a princess – a real come to life Cinderella story!
