SPARK on Monday

Standard

Happy Monday!  You know what that means in Blogville…………SPARKS!  “SPARKS” was started by Annie McGuffy of McGuffy’s Reader but ended when she stopped blogging some time ago.  It was meant to be a way to start out each week with with a meaningful thought – something that spoke to each of us and hopefully everyone else who read it.  Although Annie isn’t currently blogging, a lot of us who enjoyed her SPARKS decided to keep posting SPARKS of our own.   Why?   Because sometimes we need a little “spark” in our lives and these posts were meant to at least be a PART of that effort.   Please feel free to post your own SPARK on your blog and let everyone know you have…….we get energy from each other that way.

As is often the case, while looking for a SPARK that reflects something I’ve been thinking about or believe to be “share-able”, I found this…….it definitely struck a chord.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could do this?   Not just for a day, or a week, or a month, but always?

Hugs, Pam

  1. That is so true! A similar quote is that we don’t know what battle(s) someone else is fighting. Now, to just remember this when someone is being difficult….

  2. I feel like I could write (but I won’t) YES a hundred times to what you wrote here for us. YES! That is the total truth. Best ever! You will never know what someone else is going through now, before or later. Best to treat them as though you do know. And with gentle care.

  3. That is a wonderful Spark! No-one really knows what battles others are going through. If we look well it doesn’t necessarily mean we are. We all have a public face and try to keep the real one at home. (Don’t take my comment wrong, I am still doing okay!)

  5. This is a perfect Spark, Pam. I think it is true for all of us who are somewhat “normal,” but unfortunately our world today seems to be filled with sociopaths that are incapable of looking into even their own hearts. I pray daily that we could live live in a kinder and gentler world. Love and hugs to you, Janet

    • That’s my prayer too….living life for as long as I have and pretty much only knowing “softer/kinder” makes the sad/confusing/angry parts that much harder to take!

      Love, Pam

  6. What a wonderful world we would have if everyone thought this way.

We had a pastor once who regularly reminded us that in every pew there was someone or more with issues that we didn’t know about, but they were bearing the burden alone…you just never know what peeps are dealing with do we.
    Thanks for a great reminder!
