OUI OUI, TODAY WE DO “E” !

“Easy”

My pal Easy is an Angel like me

We both flew to heaven where we are now free

We both miss our humans just like they miss us

But we visit them quietly – without any fuss

We want them to know that real love doesn’t die

It lasts truly forever, Angels don’t lie!

The spot in their heart that right now has an ache….

The sadness of loss, human hearts they can break…..

We will carry the load, and we’ll wait by their side….

One day they will join us on that big final ride.

(This poem is for Easy, but also for Jamison and Fiona and all others who passed over to the Bridge recently)

We are all Angels now…….and we love our humans ALWAYS.

Anyway, hope this poem doesn’t make everyone sad………….trust me when I say that when we go to the Bridge we are young again, have no aches and pains, have everything we need or want but most of all we DO visit you – listen for us with your mind, heart and soul and you will FEEL us there.

My Mom sometimes has a tough time still thinking about all the kindnesses shown to her and my Dad after I left…………all the poems and artwork and messages STILL echo in her heart.   We recently received a beautiful gift from our friend Kelly Daye – who we all know as Boomdeeadda (if you follow her terrific blog!).    It’s a balloon ornament which looks like the balloon I visited all of you – my friends – in on December 2nd which turned out to be the day I went to the Bridge.    Here’s the ornament:

Kelly put the letter “S” on the balloon……so it’s MINE ALL MINE!

    • A remembrance of the blog hop YOU did for me my friend…….a balloon ride to end all balloon rides for sure. Boomdee knew it was the PERFECT thing to remind me of that day.

  4. That is a beautiful poem, Sammy. Purrhaps you could look up Mom’s kitty-before-me, Beezy, there at the Bridge and tell him that they love him and miss him!
    What a special gift the hot air balloon ornament is from your friend, Kelly! That’s a nice remembrance of that day.

    • I have seen Beezy flying by on his cloud – he visits you and your Mom from time to time and is happy that they have YOU to keep them company! The ornament is amazing isn’t it? Makes Mom’s heart FULL…….

  12. That is the most beautiful poem Angel Sammy, I think it is my favorite of all you have written and I have loved them all. The balloon is such a thoughtful gift and so pretty too. I am glad your Mom and Dad have been shown such kindnesses on your loss because they miss you so much. XO

    • Mom and Dad were – and still are – overwhelmed at the amazing outpouring of love they have had from so very many people since I left. I think it helped them a lot…….. I’m glad you liked my poem!

  15. Sammy, this is an exceptional poem. How nice to have your E poem remember Easy and Fiona as well as others. Having Not Charlie here sometimes makes her more sad as she knows if Fiona was still with us, Not Charlie would have to find a home someplace else. And regardless of your words in the poem, Mom would still like to have Fiona with her. She was so super special. The humans are off to the vet now with Not Charlie, who hopefully will return as Cooper Murphy. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Not Charlie

    • Oh we sure hope Not Charlie is officially Cooper Murphy as it’s now 2:30 here and you’ve been at the vets for an hour! PAWS CROSSED! Believe me, Mom knows just how you feel – she’d give anything to have ME still with her and Fiona with you and Easy with Miss Katty……..and now dear Jamison with Samantha……….all of us who crossed the Bridge would wish we could still be with our humans.

    • That truly WOULD be a big shock – I hope when you fish you use rubber gloves from now on!!! Might be a little awkward but those shocks are a bit awkward too!!!! HAHAHAHAHA

  22. The poem is sad and beautiful all at the same time. We still miss you a lot, Sammy, but we know you are happy. That is a lovely balloon ornament – such a thoughtful lady.

    • She’s waiting for you……..but time at the Bridge isn’t like it is here…….it can pass in the blink of an eye……..and she visits you now – you will feel her there.
