YES IT IS!
The Broomhildas won’t be in charge of this activity today – they are on vacation so we had to get a substitute to help us get the house whipped into shape today. When we told the maid service what we were looking for, they said they only had a couple of candidates……..I said “send ’em on over”…………five minutes later I answered the door:
Hello! We’re from ACME Cleaners………Here’s our card:
We’re Sissy and Prissy and today we’re having a two for one sale…………we’ll both be filling in for you! We even have a couple of others helping us out for FREE! One is a whiz at cleaning dishes:
Then we have a couple who help us move buckets and cleaning equipment around for us:
We even have a supervisor!!!!!
So you all just sit back and relax and we’ll have your house cleaned in NO TIME……………………….we have “special equipment” that makes short work of the job!
Before you knew it – they truly HAD cleaned the whole house – even with all their noisy machinery none of us minded because they finished in like FIFTEEN MINUTES! That’s right – three floors of house!
HOLD IT DOWN WILL YA?
WHAT? You’re done? I was gonna help out!
So that’s that! This crew won’t be back next week but who the heck knows if the Broomhildas will return or if we’ll get a whole pile of NEW cleaner-uppers? I swear – NEVER a dull moment in “THE HOUSE OF KIMMELL”……………
Before I go……….
I wanted to pawticipate in my friends from 15andmeowing and McGuffy’s Reader who are co-hosting a fun blog hop on Fridays called FRIDAY FILL-INS!

- Whatever happened to Friday night date night?
- I always have a cookout with all the trimmings for just me and my husband (and Sam) on Memorial Day ( or your country’s equivalent).
- I used to wish I’ve never grow old, but now that I have, it’s not so bad!
- I just cannot stay up late at night , no matter what’s on TV or how hard I try to stay awake!

My Mom loves Midsomer Murders……and hasn’t fallen asleep watching it like she does everything else! We don’t know who the guy in the dishwasher is but he’s very good at dish cleaning but then you’re pretty danged good at it yourself as you prove on your blog today!

That is an interesting cleaning crew! I love the supervisor. It will be fun to see if the Broomhildas return or there is a new crew!!! I am with you on #2 and definitely #4 for the fill-ins! Guess what?… It is raining. Rained last night… buckets of rain. Getting tired of it…

I feel your pain…….(the rain pain that is)……..we have SUN again today and I am so grateful – you’ve been in the twilight zone of rain for TOO LONG! We felt like that a week or so ago…..it just seemed like it would NEVER leave – now that it has, it’s in the mid-80s and a bit humid. No complaints though – we couldn’t stand one more moment of WET. We will have some again this coming week though. By then we’ll be ready for it. Our new cleaning crew is something – especially the Dr. Seuss clean machine! AMAZING!

Hi there!!! The fill-ins seem to be a fun thing for everyone – I love reading everyone’s answers too! I actually do know one couple who has a “Friday Night Date” – they go to Dairy Queen EVERY SINGLE Friday for dinner – I guess they have stuff other than just ice cream which is what I used to go to Dairy Queen for….anyway, they used to go to Dairy Queen when they dated so have just kept up the tradition in their old age too! Cool huh?

Date nights are fun and should be a regular thing, even for old married couples! 🙂 Growing older is not always so fun physically, but it’s a wonderful place to be when you finally get a handle on life and are content with it! Sometimes we stay up late on weekend nights, but then I feel like I have a hangover the next day, so it really isn’t worth it! 😉

That’s how we are – once in a while we stay up late and I’m always “off” the next day. I’ve never been a night owl even when I was young a million year ago!! I’m working on my hubby about the date night thing……..it’s important to connect like that I think.
