Hello Bacon Buddies!
Saturday! It’s BACON Day! I know I’m not the only one who really loves the yummy yummy bacon stuff and if you do and are proud of it, you might consider taking my BACON CLUB badge and posting it on your blog. Yeah – be a BACON BUDDY…………..we are a growing bunch of bacon lovers and not afraid to strut our stuff right???
It seems that I might have had more than my share of bacon over the holidays though (along with other stuff that MIGHT have made my Cat Scouts uniform fit too tightly!)……..so I thought maybe a little exercise was called for. Once in a while at Cat Scouts I conduct an exercise class at the Campfire………..here are some of the things we do to get ourselves back into shape!
That’s how I maintain my fabulous figure……….now if I could just get Mom interested in joining in with me, we’d BOTH get shaped back up after the holidays. But, first things first right? Today is bacon day.
I think this little guy is hoping that even though he might have taken more than his share of bacon at the breakfast table, someone will see that look on his face and give him MORE! It works for ME, maybe it will work for HIM!

I keep Mom in shape by walking her every day. She is also gearing up for some bacon today, but she’ll go out with her friends for it, so I will be waiting at home…. bacon-less… AGAIN.

Poor Cupcake…….maybe your Mom will bring you a teensy tinsy piece of bacon for being SOOOO good! Meanwhile, it’s nice that you take your Mom for a walk every day….does she have to wear a leash?????

Yes the exercise classes DO help……I noticed that Maggie has started up some exercise class training too…..I guess the healthy option is catching on!

the best thing is that you can change the uniform with a mouse-click Sammy :o) my mother can’t do that but she has a fitness app now and thinks that’s enough to chase the christmas sins away :o) Happy Bacon caturday!!!

So good to hear from you Easy! Yes – you’re right – Mom and I can “fix” all my dieting sins with photoshop but my Mom can’t do that for HER – she needs to get some EXERCISE (or bigger clothes!). I’m so glad your Mom is safe – I worried about her and I know you and your Dad did too…….I’m so glad today is bacon day – I needed it!

I have been trying to fit in some exercise between munching but it hasn’t been going well. It’s too cold downstairs to get on the treadmill. Now we have snow and 8 degrees tonight and barely 20 tomorrow. Exercise is not on the radar screen… I feel really bad about it too… 😛 Enjoy your bacon, Sammy… I am hoping for biscuits and a little cream gravy.

Bacon this morning was yum but now Mom says no more of that this weekend. Sometimes I’m lucky and they do a “bacon weekend”……As for exercise, moving around from one fleece blankie to another is about it for me. HAHAHAHA Mom says “when the weather gets nicer I’ll start walking” but I’ve heard THAT story for about five years now! Biscuits and gravy? Oh yeah! GO CH GO!

Sammy, I LOVE the cartoons!! And I always provide those treadmills when I have a house trashing pawty. Always. Even Admiral did. She thought she made that up herself! Heeeee.

Cat treadmills are excellent for keeping the arms in shape aren’t they!! I don’t do that anymore myself but I certainly did practice it a lot when I was a youngster!!!!!

Those are good exercises Sammy, but I think I need body building ones. I would join your Bacon Appreciation Club but there is a big problem, I hardly ever get bacon!

My human’s boyfriend gave her a Fitbit for Christmas (he had gotten one for himself a few weeks earlier and she kept saying she wanted to get one), and now she won’t stop moving! She really wants to get those 10,000 steps in every day! Too bad she isn’t small like me – it’s a lot more steps to get from one end of the house to the other for me… and besides, I’ve got four legs!

Ladymum probably hurts all over and that’s why she can’t exercise….once she’s feeling better I bet she’ll be “out and about” more! You could try throwing the springs for her to chase but I have a feeling it won’t work!

I’m lucky because my Mom and Dad LOVE LOVE LOVE bacon too so it’s “available” to me more often than for some kitties. Exercise is a necessary evil especially after the holiday!
