Monday means sharing a SPARK with each other. Something that SPARKS the imagination, SPARKS a feeling, SPARKS a memory, SPARKS creativity – gets you going for the beginning of the week. What exactly IS this Monday SPARK thing we do? Well, most of you know that Annie of McGuffy’s Reader – who started SPARKS – was hacked and has been on an extended break from blogging although her idea to spread some inspiration on Monday of every week goes on. Many of us who participated in her SPARKS Blog Hop and found value in sharing a thought on Monday continue doing that to hopefully give each other a “Monday boost” – perhaps something to think about to inspire us in the week ahead OR help us deal with something that’s on our mind. Why not join us by sharing something that SPARKS you? It might just start a spark in us too.
My SPARK image today is just a little different – it’s not really meant to inspire you (or me) so much as to share a thought about something many of us think is an irritation – a rainy day – or a series of them……..rain, rain, go away, come again another day. Remember that? Well, I happen to be one of those people who actually LOVES a rainy day. Not necessarily a WEEK of rain or several days in a row without ANY sign of the sun though! This image and quote really just says it perfectly about how I feel about these WET days………
I think this kind of sums up the thing many people say about rainy days – that they are COZY………….do they mean “like a blanket” ?? For me that’s just what it’s like………………….Mr. Coupland just said it for me in his quote!
Enjoy your Monday and your week and should you have rain – just think of it as a nice warm blanket or sweater…..or a HUG!
the rain can be like a balm sometimes… but currently it is more like a curse, always if we open the door the heavenly shower starts lol

At least you didn’t have rain for your TEST with the burds out in the field – it would have made it worse if it’d been a big muddy mess! We had rain all day yesterday….it was nice – fire in the fireplace for the first time this year too!

Rain can indeed be a wonderful thing but we’re due so much in the next two days we worry about flooding. Everything in moderation!

Hope that you don’t get TOO MUCH rain. That’s as much or more of a problem than too little. We will hope you get only what you can handle without consequences!

Okey dokey, now this is something weird about my mom! She has a special pair of blue jeans, she calls them her Rainy Day Jeans. She found them in the back of closet a few years ago. That are just a tiny bit big, ergo…loose and comfy. They are also just a bit too long. She can’t remember when or where they came from. When she’s at home, or has just gotten home for somewhere in the Outside, and wants/needs to feel cozy and comfy and warm, she puts them on, with a pair of her fuzzy “bed socks.” It’s kind of like wearing a security blankie for Mom. Makes her enjoy those dreary, rain filled days!!
Chip Hauckcat. Love you Teddy and Mom Pam!!

Interesting! My Mom tends to have her “comfort clothes” too and breaks them out when we have a rainy day. I figure I have my rainy day/sunny day/any day fur coat on and am comfy in any weather!!!

Unless it’s a hurry-cane or a major rainstorm, we love rainy days. We have so many sunny days that rain is kind of special and cozy.

Too much rain kind of takes all the “warm and fuzzy” out of a rainy day – we prefer gentle rain that doesn’t last FOREVER!

We like this spark! As long as Mom and I can stay inside, that is EXACTLY how a rainy day feels. When we have to go out and walk around – not so much…

After such a long time without rain, Mom isn’t surprised that she and Mom Pam chose a Spark about rain. Mom likes it for a day or two, but then she needs the sun back or she gets really down. We are supposed to have another day of rain again tomorrow. Sending lots of love and hugs. I know how important rain is and I like how we get it here in Florida during the summer. Everyday around late afternoon it rains for a short time and then clears up before sunset.

You know even back when I lived in Clearwater in the late 60s and 70s that was the pattern……..brief almost refreshing rain then sun………I didn’t mind that at all!
