MONSTER2

UHOH – WATCH OUT!!!!!

Cleaning day at the Kimmell Hacienda………..

I have a new attitude about the noise from cleaning though – ever since the THREE DAY HARDWOOD FLOOR PROJECT, cleaning noise is barely worth paying attention to.   I can handle it.   I’m a veteran of serious noise now.   Don’t even need ear protection!

HEADPHONES

Mom and Dad will do their thing and I’ll snoopervise – I won’t be riding around on the vacuum like some cats and pups do though, just watching and waiting patiently.

CLEANINGHIDING

I’ve been good about my toys…….as a sedate and mild-mannered senior cat, I rarely play with my toys anymore……but this guy probably thinks he’s found the motherlode of toys since his parents moved the couch!!!!!   Whapping toys UNDER the couch is a fun game – I used to do it in my younger days.

CLEANINGUNDERCOUCH

So, now that I’m so ADJUSTED to noises, I wonder if I can cancel my next appointment with my doctor?????

HAPPY FRIDAY!  Sammy

  1. You should come over here, S. Our vacuum cleaner broke yesterday! Mom says I killed it with my filthy hair. Hoover says it’s a wire connection and they’re sending out a new one in SEVEN TO TEN DAYS. Nuthin’ but Swiffer-silence around here, buddy. 🙂

    • Say Cupcake – I wonder if I could murder our vacuums too? I don’t shed much but I COULD collect hair from all my friends and leave it for Mom and Dad…..hmm……thanks for the idea! Enjoy your SWIFFER-SILENCE until the Hoover thingie arrives!

  2. I bet your pawrents needed some dust bunnies for the cookout on weekend :o) we had the great bunnie hunt yesterday, because of the nurse who said she will come today…butt she sadly called and said she comes tomorrow… hope my mom will not start that hunt again now :o)

    • Hi Easy! Bunnies beware……Mom and Dad BOTH are armed with vacuum cleaners so the whole house will be bunniless soon. Nurse is coming? To check up on Dad and take those staples out? I bet your Dad will be glad to say GOODBYE to those. How about Mom’s hellbow – has she rescheduled her surgery? Gosh – I’m just FULL of questions today!!!!!!

      • the nurse said she comes tomorrow, she has an extra patient today, so seh said tomorrow is more time to remove the staples. my dad is glad when they are gone, there is blood efurrywhere and he currently can’t wash his head :o) we will wait till monday for the new hell-bow appointment, when we know that efurrything is ok with dad. I hope we haven’t to wait for weeks and they find the time to fix my mom’s arm :o)

        • Easy I hope the staple removal procedure doesn’t hurt your Dad too much – you’ll be there to keep him company I hope! I know he will be happy when he can wash his head again……I’m also hoping your Mom won’t have to wait a super long time to get her hell-bow finished up – I’m sure she wants THAT over with as well. You’ve had an exceptionally busy year with nursing duties – you are becoming very experienced at it – maybe you could start up a company – – “EASY’S RENT A NURSE”…….!!!

  3. Glad you’re able to tolerate that ol’ vacuum monster, Sammy! I haven’t quite gotten to that point yet UNLESS I’m under my blanket. Then I’m fearless!! I like when Motor Mommy plays ball with me in the evenings. She thinks it helps me get ready of all my unspent energy, so I’ll sleep better!

    • Your Mom might have the right idea there……….if you play you may rest easier. When I was your age if Mom or Dad played with me at night it just made me want to play MORE and I’d wake them up an hour later to play! HAHAHA Of course I was just being a PEST and I soon gave THAT idea up because nobody ever got out of bed to play with me!

  4. Most excellent that you have grown accustomed to the noise of the monster cousin. That’s a huge step. Just concentrate and think that tomorrow is Caturday!! XOXO – Bacon

  5. I am glad the vacuum isn’t so scary to you anymore. I wish Phoebe weren’t so afraid- she gets under the covers on the bed at the sight of it- poor kitty. Enjoy your day Sammy XO

  6. Sammy fanks you for coming to see me. I think you shaved that black mustache I so love. But I feel certain I will see it again. By the way, when the washing machine was replaced not too long after our Robin left us (late 90’s) we found a dow=zen of her mouses under there. Same with the fridge and stove.

I am feeling much better today Sammy. Smoochies to you.

  9. It was very noisy when I first moved here because the retaining wall was being worked on. Then my human ran out of money to complete the job… which she now has. So I imagine things will get noisy here again at some point.

  11. I know what you mean Sammy. We have laminate floor instead of carpeting. This is both good and bad. There is nowhere comfy and warm to lay in the winter so we are always up and away from it. The floor gets cold in the winter so we hustle our furry little butts to wherever we’re going. Then again, its so kewl to run and slide down the hall after Kali. The vacuum doesn’t seem as noisy either….like you said.

    • Sometimes it’s not so bad being hard of hearing – cleaning day is a prime example – then of course there’s fireworks for the 4th of July……..so no complaints here. House was cleaned lickety split today – Mom and Dad didn’t take any breaks! Enjoy the weekend!

  12. That is one big advantage of those hardwood floors. We like them because they are cooler to lie on than the carpet AND we love to chase the dustmop around. You should try that, Sammy – your Mom will love it:)
