Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great Father’s Day? We did at my house………..I got my Dad a book by one of his favorite authors and a card from ME ME ME that he kept by his chair all day so he could look at it often. He’s saved every card I’ve given him for the last 14 years……What a Dad he is!
So I wanted to share some fun photos from an event we had at Cat Scouts that was just SO MUCH FUN……………I suggested that we have a “Drive-In Movie Nite” and everybody hopped on board with the idea – it turned into quite a fun time but we also wound up turning it into a “Retro Fifties Drive-In Movie Nite” with some great old cars that we all drove, some super fifties outfits and tons of fun through the evening – even during intermission where some of us Cat Scouts worked in the concession stand at the drive-in! Here are a FEW of the tons of photos posted during the evening……….like I said, everyone hopped on board the “retro ride” and it made it a SWEEEEEET evening of fun!

Tomorrow is Tuesday Teaser as you know……………..I have been toying with the idea of having a SURPRISE time for the post to appear in your mailbox………you’re all used to it popping up at 6AM Eastern Standard Time – what if you had NO IDEA when I let it go “live”?? Would that make it more fun???? What do you think? Let me know!! For now though, just know that we have a GUEST TEASER tomorrow and it will be “live” at the usual time……..

Drive-In Movie Nite was tons of fun and you and Gracie were amazing with all the photos you both did………….I think everyone who was there will remember that one for a long time. Even more maybe than the Wildcat Camping Trip. We’ll just keep doing fun things so Scouts do what they do best – HAVE FUN!!!!!

Sammy that was a super event at cat scouts… not only you had tons of fun, it brought back some memories from a time many moons ago… naaah, dad, they are cat scouts and they don’t play mailbox-baseball after the movie…..ts,ts,ts… seems my dad was rather a member of the riverbottom nightmare gang… I’m ready for tomorrow :o)

For us pigs every night is drive in movie night. Whee sit on the floor by the TV and have to tip back our heads to see the massive screen. It really is like being at the cinema!

The drive-in movie nite looks like so much fun! Sampson went with Astrid, but Mom Emily was out of town so she didn’t get a chance to log in and see everything that happened. She is sad she missed it. You’ve got some great pictures, Sammy!

I’m so glad Tubby had fun – it was really one of those things that sort of took on a life of its’ own as the night went on. We’ll be having MORE things like that – another Scout wants us to have a Sock Hop and that would be fun…..and plans are being worked on for a big 4th of July bash.

Hi Austin! Oh I hope you do hire a sub next time you want to hang out at an event but you know, whatever Patrol you belong to has a Den, and if it’s like the Den I’m part of, we have bunk beds and a complete kitchen and TVs, exercise room, etc. so you could have “bunked” there and gone home Sunday. TEE HEE I do kinda like the submarine idea though – would it be a YELLOW submarine????

I got my Pop something very special for Father’s Day. I viciously attacked his arm while he was watching tv on the bed. When he’d try to shake me off, I’d attach my teeth somewhere else. He’ll never forget this Father’s Day. He’ll have the scars for a long time.

Drive-In Movie night was so much fun…….I just loved it – and in fact I’m planning a Sock Hop for next month in a high school gymnasium so we’ll do another “retro” thing then as well – won’t THAT be fun? I think it’s impawtant that we keep things FUN in Scouts. Denmaster said she’s going to have another Quest before the Scouts Jamboree which is apparently at the end of summer. EEEEEEEEK……. but until then, I say we have FUN FUN FUN!

I sure wish they still had drive-in’s, they were so much summer fun. I loved the dusks to dawn. We’d take blankets and snacks from home because I’m scared of concession food, LOL. It’s fun seeing a scary movie with friends outside. My girlfriend and I went to see The Exorcist one night and I hid under my blanket the whole time. If I did peak out, I’d see something horrible and head back under the blanket…hahahha.
