Happy Friday – and YES by the way it really is Friday and we really are getting this blog post OUT on a Friday – it’s not Thursday or Saturday – we get the day right MOST OF THE TIME. This fun blog hop is cohosted by 15andmeowing and Four-Legged Furballs Friday every week. Each host gives us TWO sentences with words missing and our job is to fill in the blanks. It’s fun – ready for this week’s sentences and our “fill-ins” ??
Mom and I shared fill-in responsibilities this week…………if Mom supplied the word(s) then they’re in RED but if they are MY word(s) they’re in GREEN.
1. Having our new redbud trees flower this year (their first year) was a pleasant surprise, (I just LOVE redbud trees!)
2. My Mom not being able to find my fave food in pet stores or online was a not so pleasant surprise. (but it’s worked out – she found something NEW and our vet prescribed a prescription food which is EASIER to get online)
3. I can’t help but wonder if Covid will EVER go away when every day somewhere NEW has their number of infections going UP!.
4. I wish people would stop asking me if I’m overweight – I’m not – I’m just BIG!!!!
So that’s it for this week’s FILL-INS. Thanks to our co-hosts for this fun blog hop – it really is very cool reading everyone’s words in the fill-ins. Give it a try if you’re not an old hand at it!
Happy Friday!
you are teddy the tiger, and you are a big boy, we totally agree with ya…

Big boys need good foodables and we are glad you can now find some that you (and the vet) like – winners!!
I too think Covid will become endemic like the seasonal flu, and other nuisance illnesses.

Yeah sad to say but I think we’re right about Covid. 😦

I am glad your mom has found a new food you like, Teddy. It must be such a worry with it all being in short supply.

There are shortages of SO MANY things these days! It is a worry but not as worrisome of course as the baby formula shortage.

We like you the way you are, Teddy and we’re glad your mom found enough food for you, so you won’t starve…😺Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend to the both of you🐾😽💞

Thank you and your mom for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I know you are not overweight handsome boy. I love redbuds too. And I wish the news would cover the cat food shortage like the baby formula. I bet a lot of cats suffered from not having their prescription food available. Have a nice weekend. XO

I agree…..haven’t heard A WORD about the cat food problem and “CAT LIVES MATTER”….we should do posters that say that and march around! LOL It’s sad that there are so many shortages of so many things in a world that was full of abundance.

Our neighborhood has a lot of redbuds but every year we lose some. Two of the street trees died over the winter and another is not doing well. They are beautiful and the first one to bloom!

Oh that’s too bad! Is it a “bug” that gets them, or the heat or lack of moisture? We love that redbuds (as you say) are the first to show any color in early Spring – a bright spot in the wooded area in our front yard…….they just SHINE. Hope ours will hang in there – nobody we know has lost any.

In this neighborhood they tried them as street trees and they didn’t do well for that. Maybe it’s salt spray or being in full sun. About half were lost. There is one in back of a neighbor’s house. It gets some shade which they do in nature and for some reason it’s not doing well either. I don’t know if there is a disease going around or they were planted in wrong spots. There are a few huge specimens here that are absolutely beautiful. Tall as a 2-story house.

WOW! The only really LARGE ones around here are decorating the landscape of places like car dealerships! Most of the neighborhood ones are smallish. Ours have morning sun and afternoon shade.

As if covid isn’t enough to worry about, we have confirmed cases of monkeypox in this country!

They are gorgeous in early spring with the buds on them but also after the color goes away it’s just a pretty tree with nice shaped leaves. We are happy to have the three of them to enjoy while sitting on our front porch!!

I’m very picky too and Mom was fortunate enough to have my doc prescribe Hills prescription weight management food and for some reason the prescription foods aren’t as hard to find. My luck!

More to love Teddy. I have always had bigger kitties too. I thought Jake was underweight cause he so small. Think he just 7lbs at the time. Vet said that is normal weight for a kitty. I started wearing a mask awhile back. Just worries me. Hope you have a great day. Rain is coming it says. Storms missed us last night.

We’re going to be HOT HOT HOT today…….so probably other than taking Ted out if he wants to will be INSIDE AND COOL!! I’ve had ginger cats before and with ONE exception they were all BIG. Sammy wasn’t huge but was 14 lbs. at his “biggest”………Teddy has that beat for sure!!!!!

We’re sure this lack of cat food issue will be around for a long time – we were lucky this time but next time we need to find it/order it – who knows?!?!?!?! STAY SAFE.

I am so happy your redbuds gifted you with flowers! I love redbuds too and I miss them. They were BIG in MissouREE! Good news on finding you a reliable source of FOOD, Teddy. The shortages are getting a little old. We are still short of food and other things and the crowds are gone. YES to your #3! Good Afternoon! We have rain and lots of it… doing the happy dance!

Rain is nice even though sometimes we complain but everything is green and beautiful and we do NOT complain about that! Our redbuds grew a lot this Spring so next year should be pretty spectacular. We wonder about Covid, too. NJ has between 4,000 and 6,000 new reported cases a day. That makes us think Covid will be here forever.

It seems the world is destined to have its’ problems – many of them super serious and horrible…….so we might as well just face things as best we can. Monkeypox is a strange thing but then we all couldn’t believe Covid happened. Sigh. It’s always something!
