Thankful and Poetic Thursday

Standard

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello world.   Time for us to be Thankful in Brian’s Blog Hop – and you can join in if you like by clicking his badge and linking up with us.   It’s a perfect day to be thankful and we do have tons of things to be thankful for.    Family, friends, our health, and so many things that we may take for granted unless we really STOP and think about it.    We want to sincerely thank Brian for hosting a wonderful day of the week for us to voice what we’re thankful for.

I’m also always thankful that we hear from my Angel brother Sammy who I never got to meet but love just the same.   As always I’ll share the email I got from the Bridge last night – his weekly message and photo for more fun next week too.

♥♥♥

Happy Thanksgiving – I’m THANKFUL for all of you who enjoy trying your hand at poetry!

I look forward to this day every week – we have a few of you who always go to the effort to write a poem for the photo every week and every once in a while, someone new gives writing a poem a whirl too – that is super special.    Once you write ONE poem, it usually leads to another.    A great way to express feelings and have fun too!

As always I will give you a NEW photo at the bottom of my email which will be what you can use for NEXT THURSDAY’s poem sharing.    You have a whole week to work on it.   Fun huh?    Meanwhile below is the photo I gave you last week and my poem to go with it.   Please share your link in comments so all of us can see your poem if you wrote one – OR if you’d rather, you can write your poem out in comments on the blog.   Just make sure we get to see your work!

“OOPS”

Poem by Angel Sammy Kimmell      ©November 24, 2021

I’m so sorry officer sir

A traffic ticket did I incur

Over the speed limit was I going?

Was my license plate not showing?

Didn’t I stop at that last sign?

Don’t my headlights properly align?

You say I was fine with all those things?

Then why did your siren loudly sing?

The problem is that I’m totally nude?

I’m just a little kid – didn’t you notice that dude???

Well I had to have a little fun with this adorable photo…………….I actually hadn’t noticed the little kid appears to have no clothes on (although he probably has a diaper and maybe shorts on) but no shoes and no shirt led me to take “poetic license” and make him naked!     That was fun.

Here’s your photo for next week!

Quite a sight to see……………..poetry in motion in outer space………………………let’s see what we can do with this as our inspiration for next Thursday!    Meanwhile, please know that I am wishing those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving  a most beautiful and enjoyable one.     We all have a lot to be thankful for.    We REALLY do.

I am the Angel Poet in the green beret…..and I hope you join me for POETIC FUN each week!

Love neverending……….Angel Sammy

♥♥♥

Angel Sammy I am thankful for you…………….you are my inspiration.

Love, Teddy

  1. I am very thankful to know you and Teddy, and of course Angel Sammy.

And so therefore I wish you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving!
May all your blessings multiply into wonderful-ness each and every day!

    Here is my poem:

    The Police and the Toddler

    Little Boy in your car
    Hope you’re not going far.
Since you push with your feet,
You should stay off the street.
    You sure went quite fast.
Careful, or the fun won’t last.
    I’ll write you a ticket,
    Cause you didn’t click it.
    Your seatbelt – No?
    Oh Oh; Oh NO!
Let’s give your mommy a call,
    Then I’ll forgive all!

    • You’re right Loulou – so very many are having a hard time finding something to be thankful for….but there is always SOMETHING if we look hard enough. We are thankful for your friendship and of course having a secret amour is a lovely thing to think about too! Tee Hee………if the world had more AMOUR, it would certainly be a happier place wouldn’t it Loulou.

  3. Our lovely planet spins, but what a mess we are in! If only we could turn with greater concern for everyone who everyone who lacks, food, shelter and clothes on his/her back. But this earth has come through before, so perhaps it can give a bit more…

    • Thanks gang……we did have a lovely Thanksgiving – I have forgiven Mom and Dad for deserting me all day. I had a party here and invited all the poor lonely pets people left to enjoy their turkeys at other people’s houses. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  5. That was a fun take on that cute photo. We had one of those little cars for the grands at our house when they were all a lot littler. Now five of the six can drive the big ones. Scary!!!

    Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving.
