Happy Saturday – we’re bakin’ in the castle kitchen! Come join in – this one’s another EASY one!
This probably sounds incredibly weird – actually even I – who love bacon – and even my Mom who does too – thought this sounded a little STRANGE……..but know what? It’s incredible. Mom loves bananas, peanut butter and bacon so if you think about it, how can you go wrong? Check it out!!
Banana-Peanut Butter-Bacon Smoothie
1 container (6 oz) vanilla yogurt
1 banana, sliced
3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup milk
3/4 cup ice cubes
2slices crisp cooked bacon (we used more)
Steps
-
Place all ingredients except bacon in blender. Cover; blend on high speed about 30 seconds or until smooth.
-
Pour into 2 glasses. Serve immediately with bacon slice placed in each glass.
How much more EASY can you get?? Know what else – this smells incredible just like it tastes.
This could be my Mom’s favorite breakfast snack EVER.
The Castle Baconia chef promised me he’d whip one of these up for me and the Royal Mom every weekend!

Oh Monsieur Le King I will most definitely whip this up for you and the Royal Momma!
Sorry Teddy, this is one I won’t be trying. I love most nuts but dislike peanut butter….no, I detest peanut butter! I don’t know what it is about it but it makes me cringe.
I do make smoothies with bananas, yoghourt and milk though so you have given me the idea to add some almond butter to it. I’m not sure about the bacon though.
After days of rain it is a beautiful sunny morning here. I hope you and your mum and dad have a great weekend.

Well maybe we just got you thinking about smoothies in general even though the p-nut butter doesn’t appeal!! My Mom loves chunky p-nut butter but for this smooth is better. Anyway, enjoy your sun – we had SNOW all day yesterday!!
Love, Teddy

That sounds awfully good but I’d eat the bacon and leave about the rest. Mom said she has a smoothie every day. But she makes it with fresh or canned fruit, and uses a cuppa non fat milk and 2 T. of H*er*he*y’s Lite Chocolate Syrup, a sweetener packet and 7 ice cubes. That keeps it under 200 c. And it’s good too, she says. BUT, yours sounds just like a Royal Feast!

Your Mom is EVER SO SMART to make hers “good” for her……..this I think is more of a TREAT and not all that great for you but incredibly delish nonetheless!

Made me think of a sandwich I once heard Elvis liked – I love grilled cheese, but apparently his favorite was grilled peanut butter and banana…. I haven’t tried it – yet.

I remember hearing about that favorite of Elvis’ – I remember thinking at the time that it actually sounded pretty good………..!!

It sounds interesting… would you believe I don’t have a blender? Never had one… Ha!

I don’t have one either but I used to have one ages ago. I do smoothies in my food processor – which was a wedding gift 30 year ago. I love it!

Ohhhh Teddy I think this sounds most yummy.
We buy nanners every week. I’ll give them another day or two to ripen then I’ll be making this yumminess

Our dad would LOVE this. Peanut butter is his go to food. Mom says, “no thanks.” She says that she’d pile all these things on a plate and pour some hot fudge over it and dig in! MOL! Love and hugs to all, Kitties Blue

Hmmmm…that does sound good!
However petcretary will not let any of us taste it, and tpday she is not able to eat very much, she has a tummy bug or something, so she’s just having nice hot tea today…

Hot tea is way better for bad tummies than sweet and very rich things FOR SURE! Hope petcretary feels better soon!

I would have never thought of putting bacon in a smoothie but I suppose bacon is like chocolate and goes with everything.

It does and it adds that salty thing that’s so good with sweet!

Nope! I love those ingredients on their own, but they are NOT anything I’d put together in a blander and drink. Nope….

It is a bit much but somehow – when they’re all smooooshed up in a blender (or food processor like we use), it’s light and tasty!

It sure sounds yummy to us, but the Momster says her tummy might revolt if she tried to put that in it in the morning:)

Hey, we can’t go firing the royal chef. If Miss You Know Who can keep her job at the school, then the royal chef should have a secure job for life…

We agree…..it would be like firing the King’s Mother and we all know that “that ain’t gonna happen” either!
