SPLAT !!!!   Gotcha with a snowball!!

Oh my word has it been cold around here and almost everywhere (except you people “Down Under” and in Florida!!!)……………..our HIGH yesterday was 25 and we have three inches of snow and they aren’t going to go ANYWHERE for a while in this windy, cold weather.   With wind chill figured in they say it’s like 6 degrees out there.   But guess what………….yesterday morning I went outside in the snow!   That’s right………for all of about 60 seconds but I was in the snow and I walked in my Dad’s footsteps in the snow and EVERYTHING.    About the time I got up to the driveway I ran out of steam and my tootsies were freezing so I ran quick like a bunny wabbit back to the basement door until OLD MOM got there and inside we came.   YIKES!    Dad went out later and played with his snowthrower (although “play” may not be the right word!!).

Lots of deer tracks in the snow so I guess they’re taking advantage of the full birdfeeders – they do love sunflower seeds and unfortunately they eat our azaleas which means no flowers in the Spring!  DANG!

Everyone really seemed to love the TOUGH Teaser we had this week…………….I’ll try to give you more of those toughies but sprinkle in some easier ones too – don’t want everyone getting discouraged and after all – NOBODY has take home the “First Right Guesser” or “Right Guesser” awards yet…………….the Big Greenie is everywhere though!  HAHAHA

We’re going to have a “Winter Wonderland” party at Cat Scouts and that got me googling some silly photos………….thought you might enjoy these!

Some of you might remember that I have my very OWN sled – my Mom and Dad found it a couple of years ago in an antiques place!

Bring It On Friday

Hi All!   Happy Friday………….I was going to say “Happy FRYday” because I thought maybe if I wrote that in my blog today, Mom would see it and it would remind her that BACON would be a nice thing to start today with.  BUT, she says good things are worth waiting for – and tomorrow is my regular treat day.  But in the meantime, my friend Miss Layla from CatWisdom 101 kindly sent me this picture of a MAJOR bacon sandwich – she’d seen the picture of this 50-piece bacon sandwich and said she thought of me.  Well, I guess it’s official – I’m the CAT BACON KING!

GIMME….GIMME….GIMME!!!!

Our house is officially on the market – we aren’t going to be showing it until starting with Monday.  YES we let someone show it yesterday as a special favor but this will be our last QUIET weekend so we thought we’d start scheduling stuff with Monday.  Mom is the official “scheduler”……….that means she’s carrying the phone and a calendar and pen around with her everywhere.  I think she should just sit in her recliner and not move – keep all her scheduling gear handy but SIT there so I can nap on her legs!   Makes sense to me – don’t you think that’s a great suggestion on my part?

On mom’s legs…she couldn’t possibly disturb me….right?

Guess what happened yesterday – the SUN came out and it was out all day – it made it up to 52 so MOST of that nasty snow is gone – GONE!   YAY…..now if it will just stay away until winter when it’s supposed to be snowy I’ll be a happy boy.

Almost gone! WOO HOO!

Anybody doing anything exciting on the weekend?  Not me……………just being my old self.  It’s raining today and will be raining tomorrow but Sunday should be SPECTACULAR which means I’ll get to go outside and have a good old munch.  It’s been SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long!

Oh boy…..green stuff!!

Tuesday Teaser

Happy Tuesday Everybody!  Hope you all had a happy Saint Patrick’s Day……….I went to parties all day long but from what I remember (tee hee) I had a very good time!

Believe it or not (I’d rather NOT have to believe it but I do) we had about ten MORE inches of snow night before last.  That’s right – TEN MORE INCHES…….we’d had some days in the sixties – had all the old snow GONE GONE GONE then whammo another storm.  Everyone here is hoping it’s the LAST one.  INCLUDING ME!

Hope you have a great day and hope you didn’t wake up this morning with a terrific hangover from too much green beer yesterday – it might make your eyes blurry and you need your eyeballs for the Teaser today……! 😉

Hi Everyone……………….well our snow is hanging in there – not that we got any more – NO NO NO – but what we DID get a few days ago isn’t going anywhere.  It’s acting like it’s moved into a cheap hotel room and isn’t gonna budge until the rates go up!   One GOOD thing is that the streets are clear SO today my Mom and Dad are taking a ride to the postal center where the first batch of presents are going out from the Moon trip!   YAY!  Finally!  Did you think I’d forgotten?????  Nope!  Just been snow-bound!

While they’re out, they have a stop to make in order to put together TWO of the six packages we’re sending out so those packages will probably go out on Friday.  Hang in there winners……..your goodies are coming soon!   Thanks to postal costs AND cost of toys though remember PULEEEEEEZE that these are little presents – just my thanks for being such good friends AND for entering the Moon contests!!

My Dad went to the airport today because he needed to chip away at the snow and ice that collects around the hangar doors where he has his airplane snugged in for the winter.  Why is he bothering?  Because NEXT week there are a couple of days where we are to have high temperatures in the HIGH FIFTIES!!!!   Sounds like Spring to me – and it sounds like flying weather……….I’ve shown some of these pix before – you can tell they certainly weren’t taken last week or anything since there’s no snow in sight – but just so you can see Dad’s plane and what HE sees when he’s buzzing around up there!

Mom’s doing laundry today – sheets and towels to be specific – those are my favorite items of course………and when that blanket is on the bed without a cover on it I’m THERE.  Mom feels guilty about moving me when I’m on top of the super fleecy blankie so she’ll leave it for me until I’ve finished napping and moved somewhere else.  WHAT A MOM!

Guess what else I’m doing today?  I’m tackling my toy wagon and basket……time to have a bit of a clear out – actually Mom will just take a bunch of my LEAST fave toys out, put them in a bag and hide them in a closet….then when I get bored with what’s left – OUT THEY WILL COME and be just like new!    Sure saves on money.  HAHA

Before I go – how about a little SHAMELESS BRAGGING on my Mom……as you know she has a mystery novel called “The Mystery of David’s Bridge”  available on Kindle AND in paperback on Amazon………..there are links on my sidebar……….help yourself!  Guess what…..there’s even a CAT in it.  His name is Eddy and it’s “the Eddy” that was the cat my Mom had before I came along.  Yep – sure is.   Mom’s main character is a private investigator in a small town who has a cat for company.  Just like I do, Eddy helps his human.   I may not help my Mom solve mysteries but I do keep her lap warm – that’s something right?   Anyway, if your human enjoys a fun mystery read, check out my Mom’s book – just click a link!  Easy Peasy!
