SPARKS and Reminder

It’s Monday again and time for us to SPARK together!    What exactly IS this Monday SPARK thing we do?   Well, most of you know that Annie of McGuffy’s Reader – who started SPARKS – was hacked and has been on an extended break from blogging although her idea to spread some inspiration on Monday of every week goes on.   Many of us who participated in her SPARKS Blog Hop and found value in sharing a thought on Monday continue doing that to hopefully give each other a “Monday boost” – perhaps something to think about to inspire us in the week ahead OR help us deal with something that’s on our mind.    Why not join us by sharing something that SPARKS you?   It might just start a spark in us too.

I’ve got a very simple SPARK today……………but even though it’s simple that doesn’t mean it isn’t important.

This really hits home with me.   When I was a little girl there were always things that were to be “kept for a special occasion”……….that included everything from the best china, linen, silverware, clothing, special snacks, drinks, ON AND ON AND ON.    I kind of knew it was just my way of Mom saying “not now”……….but that’s part of the reason I love this particular SPARK because saving all those things is silly – every day we’re alive is a special occasion – especially if you’ve ever gone through anything “dramatic” in your life………..traumatic OR dramatic in fact.   So don’t save things for special occasions – let every single day be a special occasion.    Lesson learned!

Today is also Veterans Day.    My Dad was a Veteran………….he was a very proud Air Force officer who served his country and was actually SAD to retire!   He loved military life and we all loved it too because we got to see the world with him.    Happy Veteran’s to everyone who has served their country in any capacity.

I miss you Dad…..and was always proud of you.

Happy Monday………Hugs, Pam

Teddy says “don’t forget tomorrow is TEASER TUESDAY……the post will be live at a special surprise time” and we have a great photo for you to guess from a Guest Teaser!!”

SPARKS on Monday

Happy Monday……………here we are again, sharing a bit of inspiration at the first of another week hoping maybe we can carry the message with us in our hearts all week and MAYBE forever AFTER that!    SPARKS was the brain-child of our friend Annie of McGuffy’s Reader who is on an extended break but so many of us love the IDEA of Sparks, we continue with it each Monday.    Spreading a little light and a little inspiration is never a bad idea is it.

My Spark today is one that I can really identify with personally – worry.    Worrying is something I have come to learn maybe the hard way, is a total waste of time.   Worrying changes nothing.   It makes you miserable and keeps you on the edge of your seat and robs you of joy and peace.    The words “WHAT WILL BE, WILL BE” come to mind in fact.    When looking for a poster that “grabbed” be to use in my post today I found SO MANY that spoke to me but this one perhaps spoke the loudest.    I love it.    I hope it speaks to you too if you are a worry-prone person!

I absolutely DO NOT want to carry my umbrella around forever……………….I’m putting mine back in the closet – how about you?????????????

Happy, Worry-Free Monday

Love, Pam

SPARKS on Monday

Happy Monday!    Time to share a little bit of light – a thought for the start of the week – something we can hold onto as we face whatever comes our way.    SPARKS is the idea of my friend Annie from McGuffy’s Reader……Annie’s thinking is that the world can be a bit of a puzzle and challenge and sometimes a DARK place in which to move.   Why not try to help by bringing a positive thought to LIGHT – something we can all perhaps “get” and feel GOOD about?    If you have a thought to share, why not join in this wonderful HOP of Annie’s?   Just click the badge above, go to her blog and fill in the LINKY TOOL….join in the fun.

I thought a lot this weekend about friendships.    My belief has ALWAYS been – and I’ve talked about this before in another SPARKS post – that people pass through our lives for a reason.   We think at the time it’s “chance” but I think it’s because we need them at that time to help us learn something, understand something, or help us through something in our lives.   It’s not just random…..people enter our lives for a REASON.    Even when a friendship runs its course and we part ways happily or even unhappily – we have learned something we just might carry with us forever.

Yes and I want to thank whoever is reading this post for being here……………maybe you needed to hear this today?    Try to get the messages people bring to you – whether or not you understand them at the time, trust me – you will one day.

Hugs, Pam
