Ringy Ding Dong!

Better hurry up and get your seats students! I’m taking names of you SLOW ones!

Glad you could make it………………now before you get TOO comfy, remember to COMMENT on this post because if you are the FIRST COMMENTER today (or even if you are ONE of the first in the first sixty seconds) you get a badge!   WOO HOO!   GO ON – HURRY UP!

Can I take a snooze while they’re gone???

OK class – now you can settle down – tomorrow we’ll let you know WHO was fast on the draw and got the FIRST COMMENT in!   For now though, let’s buckle up and get ready to see today’s TEASER PHOTO shall we??

Let me go over the rules first:

  1. In order to be the FIRST RIGHT GUESSER you must guess the CITY/VILLAGE/TOWN as well as the STATE (if in USA) or COUNTRY (if not in USA) where the photo was taken.
  2. Since it’s SO DARN EASY to just use Google Image Search – resist the temptation to do so – let your BRAIN do all the work – it’s more of a challenge that way!!   Figure it out without help!

That’s it – so now that we have that straight, let’s see if our dear Suzie would like to PUMP UP THE VOLUME and give you a Teaser Cheer to get the creative juices flowing.

Hope you weren’t late
Never hesitate
Sarge likes to YELL
And ring the school bell
So let’s get to guessing
Hope you read your lessons!
I think this one is TOUGH
Might make you feel real ROUGH
Just give it all you got
Or your brain might go to rot!
Pinky Panky Pookie

Tell It Like It Is!

Hello Class!   First may I say that you all did VERY WELL yesterday………..many of you proved that you studied Monday night and came to class purrrrrpared to use your eyeballs and brains examining the Teaser photo.    You were READY too when we went live although it was TWO WHOLE MINUTES before we got our First Commenter(s)…………………(S)????  YEs – more than one clocked in during the same 60 period – wanna know who?????

Calvin and Oliver and Miss Csilla of Kolytyi

DOUBLE WINNERS!    Each of you gets one of these cutie badges!!

For Teaser of August 1, 2017 !

Also, before we go any further, Miss Dingleberry said to thank you for being exceptionally neat and clean with all that oooooey goooooey ketchup and mustard and relish stuff on your hot dogs yesterday.   There was only one “accident” and that was SOMEONE spilled ketchup on the slide and for one horrible second we thought someone had sliced open their leg and it was bleeding!   Whew!    We got the Ding Dong School duty doctor there quick just in case but the guilty student had ketchup all over their t-shirt so he was EASY TO SPOT and we knew he was alright.

Dr. Strangelove

Now – let’s talk Teaser photo………………our Guest Teaser was one of our bestest buds – the peeps at Friends Furever!    They have been having a very scary time these past weeks with “Daddy Bill” – he’s been in the hospital and has been very sick.    Mom Sharon and our pals Raz and Allie have been hoping he will get better so he can come home.   Before I award them their Guest Teaser badge, I’m putting the following badge up which links to their blog – if you haven’t done so, please stop by and give them some encouraging words – when someone you love is in the hospital, it’s worrisome to say the least!    Thanks my friends.

Just click the badge to visit them!

AND – here is your GUEST TEASER badge – thanks for the super duper photo which we will show you again before we tell all of you Teaser Fans WHERE it was taken!

For Sharon, Raz and Allie at Friends Furever for Teaser of 8/1/2017

The blacked out name on the hotel is “JEROME” and this is the rather famous – and HAUNTED – Jerome Grand Hotel in Jerome, Arizona, USA!    Here is the hotel’s link – they have a ghost tour but if you REALLY want to get spooked out, google this hotel and watch some of the videos people have made…….this building had a life as a hospital before it was a hotel and the halls and rooms are haunted……………..!!!

JEROME GRAND HOTEL LINK

SO……………………………………….WHO was the FIRST RIGHT GUESSER yesterday???????

Miss Annie of McGuffy’s Reader!

This is for you!!

For McGuffy’s Reader for Teaser of 8/1/17

There were a whole bunch of peeps and students who knew what hotel this was and where it was located and each of you who were RIGHT, get one of these!

For Teaser of 8/1/2017

If you guessed but were WRONG………..please help yourself to one of these little gems – our world famous GREENIES!

For Teaser of 8/1/17

What a fun Teaser that was too……………..My Mom and Dad stayed in a haunted hotel once – not this one but one here in Virginia!    The Wayside Inn – a very old coach stop in the 1700s is reputedly haunted and was even in a PBS special about haunted hotels.     It’s a beautiful spot and Mom and Dad often eat there when passing through Middletown, Virginia – but they have only stayed there once.   Did they see any ghosts?   No, but the owner at the time told them all about the ghost who haunts the kitchen, the one who haunts a certain room in the hotel, and the “maid” who is heard to clomp up and down the stairs all the time.

Our newest feature on the Tell All post is our little bouncy, fluffy, adorable, occasionally grumpy Cheerleader Miss SuzieQ who will present her congratulatory cheer then CLASS IS DISMISSED!

We had TWO first commenters this time!
I hope I can make their names rhyme!
Csilla and Oliver and Calvin
(what the heck rhymes with Calvin?)
OK so I blew that verse
I hope this one isn’t worse
Our First Right Guesser was Annie
Her guessing was uncanny!
The photo was from Friends Furever
Guessing where was a HUGE endeavor.
Our class was full of smarties
Now let’s go out and party!

Thanks as usual Suzie………you certainly got everyone pumped up for recess!

That’s All Folks!

Thankful and Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

Standard

Twice The Fun Thursday Is Here!

Today we will join Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop AND my brother Angel Sammy will showcase his weekly poem with something celebrating this week’s letter of the alphabet – “F” !

First my “thankfuls”………….if you’d like to share your thankfuls, hop on over to Brian’s and use the linky tool (click on his badge below to go to his blog) to tell us what you’re thankful for – add your blog link and we’ll see what you have to say.   We all have something to be thankful for….sometimes it doesn’t seem like we do, but if we think about it, there are things all around us to be thankful for.    I’m thankful that even though it’s hot as heck outside my Mom and Dad who do NOT like “hot”, are still taking me out for a walk when I demand ask them to.    They try to stay in the shade but I like a bit of sun myself and they will indulge me.   I’m so thankful for such understanding parents!

Now for Angel Sammy!!!

Here’s what Angel Sammy transmitted to me overnight from the Bridge for today’s Thoroughly Poetic Thursday!     First of all, today’s letter is “F” and he told us we could all write a poem about ANYTHING starting with the letter “F” or use one or more of his “prompt” words – which were:

(1) Feast (2) Frog (3) Frosty (4) Family

Here’s what he sent to me through his Cloudtop Computer!

Hello My Friends!    Are you ready for some poetry?

Today we do “F” and I’m using one of my prompts – the word “FROG”……….why?   Well some of you who have been following this blog for a while know that for many years I had a good friend who lived under the steps of my front porch at home.   His name was Freddy and he was a frog.    I saw him every Spring for several years – although truth be told, whether it was Freddy or one of his relatives I’ll never know for sure.   ANYWAY, he was my inspiration – we used to have such fun!

“F”

“Freddy Frog”

By Angel Sammy Kimmell 7/20/17

An unlikely friend some would say

But friends we were back in the day

Every Spring he’d come out to greet me

We didn’t arrange it – he’d just plain meet me!

The front porch was where we usually met

My water bowl was there and Freddy would be WET.

I knew he’d bathe in my water bowl you see

The telltale puddle was the big clue for me……

Then off the porch we both would hop

Down the sidewalk we’d go – at the driveway we’d stop.

Our “game” started when Freddy sat still…..

I’d give him a pat using my most tender of skills!

He’d hop when I’d pat him – just once then he’d stop

Until I patted him again then he’d take one more hop!

We’d go on with that for about 20 feet…..

Mom would be laughing as we moved down the street…..

Then he’d hop into the grass and go into the clover…..

That was the big clue that our game was over.

We sometimes would skip the game and just sit with each other

Then a car would go by and he’d run quick for cover.

One year he didn’t come and I worried and worried

Did an animal go after him and away he scurried?

By then I was older and not going out as much

Perhaps I’ll look him up at the Bridge and get back in touch!!

Mom took this photo of Freddy

I hope some of you also wrote a poem this week and if you did, please leave your blog link in my comments here so we can follow and read your poem OR you can even write your poem in my comments if you like.   It’s fun to write a poem – it doesn’t even have to rhyme….it can be haiku or ANY form of poetry too.   Silly or serious, doesn’t matter.   Just spread your wings and try to write a poem because you just might LIKE IT!     Here are your prompt words for NEXT week’s Poetic Thursday.    Remember, you can write about any “G” word or use one or more of these prompts!!

(1) Garden (2) Giggle (3) Groceries (4) Grandma

Until then my friends – take care of yourselves and enjoy every day!

Sammy the Angel Poet in his French Beret!

See you all tomorrow for Friendly Fill-Ins Blog Hop and whatever else I can think of to say in my blog!

LOVE, Teddy

(Having a good think in the sink……….)

Teaser Tell All

Time To Tell It All!

Welcome back to class students……….I must say you all surprised me yesterday because several of you got what I thought would be a TOUGH TEASER!    You are studying well which makes me AND Assistant Prof Teddy happy!

Let’s start with first things first – our FIRST COMMENTER yesterday morning when we went live at 8AM EST was:

Kitties Blue from The Cat On My Head

For Teaser of 7/18/17

CONCATULATIONS KITTIES BLUE!!!!!!!   Bravo!  You were alert and standing by and win a badge for your dedication to teasing!

Then we waited to see who might be the FIRST to correctly guess the Teaser photo that was sent in by our Guest Teaser……………….who was, by the way, Melissa whose kitties Calvin and Oliver are on Facebook if you’d like to visit them.   Melissa lives in this town and we both thought this might be a toughie photo…………before I show the photo to you again, let’s thank Melissa for sending in the photo shall we???

YES let’s thank her!!!!!

For Miss Melissa for Teaser of 7/18/17

Thank you Melissa and please thank your “boys” too!!!

Here’s the photo from yesterday – it’s a photo of Nepean Point in Ottawa, Canada and the Parliament Building is in the background with a statue of Samuel de Champlain in the foreground!

Well done Melissa and thanks for sending in the photo.  It’s tons of fun to have your own photo for the Teaser and watching the guesses come in isn’t it?    I know too that our Teaser Cheerleader has done a special cheer for the winners and other notables from yesterday’s Teaser so without further delay, let’s bring her on!!   You might hear your name in her cheer….then I’ll tell you who won what!

Another Teaser and it was swell
Let’s ring the Ding Dong School bell!
Kitties Blue was on the ball
They commented first before you ALL!
Miss Carol chimed in with the first right guess
Others knew it too but she was faster than the rest
We owe Miss Annie a big old “thanking”
And Melissa please tell Calvin I send him a special Suzie Spanking.
Next week we’ll have another test of your geographic knowledge
If you’re really good at teasing you should be in college!
Look for me next week, I’m Smarty Pants Suzie
I hope the photo will be an impossible doozy!

Yep – our FIRST RIGHT GUESSER was:

Carol from CAROLMAEWY in lovely Wyoming!      Miss Carol this is for you!!!!!!

Concatulations!!!!

There were several others of you who guessed correctly and for all of you who did, grab one of these for your very own!

For Teaser of 7/18/17

Were you WRONG?   Did you guess but not the right spot?   Sorry about that but please help yourself to one of these:

For Teaser of 7/18/17

Uhhhh……..well Suzie I am sure everyone you mentioned appreciates that you worked them into your special Tell All cheer today – – – – you can go rest now – – – I’ve heard through the grapevine that you are going out on another date tonight – in fact, I have a photo someone found of your date!

I will say he’s got a nice car but…..well……good luck!

Miss Annie from McGuffy’s Reader, before we go, we want you to have this from US to YOU……….

That’s class for today everyone.   Remember, next Tuesday will be here before you know it – STUDY UP!

Your Favorite Geography Teachers

Prof Angel Sam and Assistant Prof Ted

Before we go, Suzie asked if I’d post this for Calvin – Melissa’s kitty who seems to have a gleam in his eye for Suzie…….ahem…..I hope her date doesn’t hear about that though because he doesn’t look like the kinda guy who would APPRECIATE her giving Calvin a photo!!!!!!
