Double duty post day……we first are Thankful with Brian then Poetic with Angel Sammy! Most important of the two is being thankful. We certainly are too. Thankful to all be healthy still in these unsettled times and thankful we are together. We’re thankful that Brian has given everyone a HOP to express how thankful we are too and if you’d like to join – click his badge above and link up with us.
Then there’s the chance to spread our wings and do some poetry with Angel Sammy – he gives us a photo to use as inspiration for a poem – then the following week we share what we’ve written. So let’s see what he’s sent to us for today?!
♥♥♥
Hello Earthly Friends – here we are again sharing poems!
Did you write one for last week’s photo I gave you? If so, make sure you tell us you did in our comments here. As long as you are enjoying writing poetry every week to share then we’ll continue providing photographic inspiration!
I know that everyone has more “weighty” things on their mind these days then poetry but it’s also a great stress reliever to stretch your mind and do something different – express yourself with a poem. I hope you give it a try or if you already do this with us every Thursday – KEEP IT UP!
Here’s the photo I gave you last week to use as inspiration for your poem THIS week……..followed by my poem.
“Jewels of Nature”
Poem by Angel Sammy Kimmell ©November 4, 2020
Mother Nature reminds us each and every Fall
She knows how to brighten life better than us all
The sun sets and rises and provides the brightest hues
From golden sun and orange leaves to endless sky of blue
Some trees are ancient warriors surviving nature’s wrath
Wind and fires destroy and leave an ashen path
When at last the fires are gone and the seeds have burrowed in
The years will pass, the forests grow and the cycle begins again.
When I chose this photo last week for us to use, I thought two things when I looked deeply at it……..the absolutely beauty of Fall, of leaves of every color shining brightly in the sun but I also was reminded of the horrible fires that ravage these incredible places we enjoy and love and how incredibly sad it is that this happens AT ALL. The forest has renewed itself almost since time began but can we continue to ask that of it ?
So, here’s the photo that I found for us all to use for next week’s poem – I hope you like it!
I really like this photo a LOT. It says SO MUCH! Let’s see if we can put words to those feelings and share them next week shall we?
Meanwhile, please continue to take care of yourselves – stay safe – we are a long way from seeing the end of the pandemic so do NOT let down your guard. We Rainbow Angels are working as hard as we can to keep you safe but we can’t do it alone!

I am the Angel Poet in the green beret…..and I hope you join me for POETIC FUN each week!
Love and Light, Angel Sammy
