SPARK on Monday

Standard

Happy Monday…………..and it’s time again for SPARKS.    Everyone is invited to participate by posting their OWN thoughts – SPARKS inspire all of us!   “SPARKS” was started by Annie McGuffy of McGuffy’s Reader but ended when her blog was hacked some time ago.  It was meant to be a way to start out each week with with a meaningful thought – something that spoke to each of us and hopefully everyone else who read it.    Sometimes we need a little “spark” in our lives and these posts were meant to at least be a PART of that effort.    Those of us who enjoyed sharing a SPARK with Annie have continued doing so on Mondays – and we hope one day soon Annie will be back blogging with us again.    Please feel free to post a SPARK of your own and let everyone know you have…….we get energy from each other that way!

Throughout my life I’ve never had a LOT of friends – I knew a lot of people but knowing someone and maintaining a close friendship with them for me was something different.    I had a close circle of people that I totally trusted and loved and they were my real friends.    I learned the VALUE of friendship.    Because I was a kid growing up in the Air Force with a Dad who moved his family per his assignments every two years, I tended to have three or four “besties”…….and I guess I just continued with that as I aged.   I’m still pretty much like that still.    I do know lots of people and I really like a lot of people, but still I don’t really have a lot of close friends.     I looked for a SPARK about friendship because my husband and I are very fortunate to have some very good friends and we appreciate them so much.    Many people cross our paths in our lives but just how many are true friends that stick with us through everything?

Gosh I love this graphic………..it makes my heart happy…………………..just like our friends make my heart happy!

Happy Monday………

Hugs, Pam

SPARK and Teaser Reminder

Standard

Time to SPARK!     What exactly IS this Monday SPARK thing we do?   Well, most of you know that Annie of McGuffy’s Reader – who started SPARKS – was hacked and has been on an extended break from blogging although her idea to spread some inspiration on Monday of every week goes on.   Many of us who participated in her SPARKS Blog Hop and found value in sharing a thought on Monday continue doing that to hopefully give each other a “Monday boost” – perhaps something to think about to inspire us in the week ahead OR help us deal with something that’s on our mind.    Why not join us by sharing something that SPARKS you?   It might just start a spark in us too.

Today’s SPARK is one of my favorites………………..I read this a long time ago and still believe it totally………………the value of friendship can’t be overstated………….!

Hopefully everyone has at least one really good friend to get them through the bad times, share the good times with, and remind us all of the real VALUE of not just HAVING a friend but BEING a friend.

Happy Monday!

Hugs, Pam

P.S.  I was asked to remind everyone that tomorrow is Teaser Tuesday – heaven forbid you should forget that – if you did, Angel Sammy and Teddy would give you a demerit in class and I’d get in trouble for not reminding you!!

SPARKS on Monday

Standard

Happy Monday!    Time to share a little bit of light – a thought for the start of the week – something we can hold onto as we face whatever comes our way.    SPARKS is the idea of my friend Annie from McGuffy’s Reader……Annie’s thinking is that the world can be a bit of a puzzle and challenge and sometimes a DARK place in which to move.   Why not try to help by bringing a positive thought to LIGHT – something we can all perhaps “get” and feel GOOD about?    If you have a thought to share, why not join in this wonderful HOP of Annie’s?   Just click the badge above, go to her blog and fill in the LINKY TOOL….join in the fun.

I thought a lot this weekend about friendships.    My belief has ALWAYS been – and I’ve talked about this before in another SPARKS post – that people pass through our lives for a reason.   We think at the time it’s “chance” but I think it’s because we need them at that time to help us learn something, understand something, or help us through something in our lives.   It’s not just random…..people enter our lives for a REASON.    Even when a friendship runs its course and we part ways happily or even unhappily – we have learned something we just might carry with us forever.

Yes and I want to thank whoever is reading this post for being here……………maybe you needed to hear this today?    Try to get the messages people bring to you – whether or not you understand them at the time, trust me – you will one day.

HAVE A SPARK FILLED WEEK!

Hugs, Pam
