Bakin’ With Bacon And Teddy

Standard

Here we are again – ready to LOVE some more bacon!

It’s Saturday and time for me to share a recipe I’ve found that is EASY and involves our favorite thing in the universe – BACON…….yep – and while this may sound a little strange to come, it really isn’t.   Who doesn’t love a BLT?    My Mom and Dad have them frequently…………….this is all the things you love about BLTs but in a DIP form!   YES I SAID DIP……… A while back we did a rather complicated, many-ingredient, layered BLT dip – this one is foolproof and super easy.

BLT DIP

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pound bacon
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tomato – peeled, seeded and diced

DIRECTIONS:

  • Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain on paper towels.

  • In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise and sour cream. Crumble bacon into the sour cream and mayonnaise mixture. Mix in tomatoes just before serving.

Excuse me but isn’t this just about the EASIEST recipe EVER using bacon?    Doesn’t it sound SUPER DUPER?     It is – trust me.    I know some of you can’t eat bacon and I’m not sure what you could substitute in this recipe that would taste as good but since it’s a dip – and you use crackers or chips with it, I imagine you could even use chicken if you wanted to.    It’s just an incredibly simple recipe with few ingredients or fuss and perfection as a snack.   You’ve gotta try it.

Enjoy your bacon!!  King Teddy
