Cold Enough For Snow

Brrrrrrr…………………it’s TOTALLY been cold enough for snow here but so far we haven’t had any.   Day before yesterday the weather people said “snow flurries/showers” for Tuesday but that never happened.   At least not HERE.   Some places had a dusting.    But talking about it got me to thinking about how many snowy photos I had in my photo stash…….so I thought I’d PLAY MAKE BELIEVE and show some of them just to prove that I, Samuel Kimmell, CAN have FUN in the snow!

This is actually ME in the snow several years ago…….when I was younger I absolutely LOVED the snow.   I’d follow Mom’s foot prints in the snow no matter how deep they were………

I musta been nuts back then…..

Now the REST of these are photoshopped ME in the snow………………but I am having fun – and if we actually DO get some snow this winter (which I’m sure we will) I’ll try to have fun in it again I promise.   Unless I decide to just sleep right through it all until Spring!

As wacky as the weather has been over this past year or so, we’ll probably have a “WHITE SPRING” instead of a “WHITE CHRISTMAS”………wouldn’t surprise me one bit!

Staying WARM!

BABY IT’S COLD OUTSIDE!

Hello and Happy COLD Friday – well, at least it’s COLD here in Virginia – not sure if it’s cold where you are but since it IS so cold, Mom and I thought we’d take a peek courtesy of Mr. Google and find some “interesting” ways we keep warm……………and there are a lot of them believe me.    This is just a small sampling!

I myself have been doing the FLEECE THING………..I also recently got a “reflective heat” fleece covered mat which so far I’m ignoring (Mom got it for me thinking I’d like it!)…..but there’s HOPE for it because I’ve WALKED across it twice so that means at least I’m “testing” it.   Anyway, we have friends who have them and love them so Mom said “WHY NOT!?”.

What do you do to keep WARM?    Hug your human?   Cuddle up with a fur sibling (I don’t have one!)?

Whatever you do, do it because winter is only just beginning and we’ll have lots of super cold days ahead………………….BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Snoozy Thursday

Thank heavens this is NOT me! Thank heavens it hasn’t SNOWED either!

It’s cold outside so I’m turning into a FLEECE-A-MANIAC and fully intend to hardly BUDGE from my blankets all day long.   So in honor of my NAP-TITUDE, I’m doing a little “Thursday Snooze” blogpost today…………..it’s too cold to talk, so I’ll just sleep OK?

Sometimes it’s just better to sleep through a day instead of trying to pretend it’s WARM and not so darn cold you could freeze your toesies off if you went outside!    So there.   I’ve officially turned this into SNOOZY THURSDAY (kinda like Wordless Wednesday only warmer…..hahaha).

Caturday!

My most HAPPY day of the week!

So we had bacon this morning with breakfast but it was a “traditional” kind of pancakes and some bacon.   This idea seems to be pretty cool and Mom is gonna try it NEXT Saturday!!!!!

Dump on some syrup and you’re READY!

We’re on Day Four (or is it Five….or is it Six?) of rain and chilly weather………….we’re getting just a little TIRED of it but we’re taking advantage of it as best we can by staying nice and cozy inside the house…………fires in the fireplace………blankets on laps (with cats on top of those blankets!) and just enjoying the sound of rain on the roof.   Fortunately for us, we’re on a hill……unfortunately for a lot of people they’re having major flooding and WET basements.  Hopefully this weather will change soon!

No our lawn does NOT look like this now – this is from several years ago BUT we are happy to be on THE HILL!

Are you ready for Fall?  Or are you on the “flipside” and getting ready for Summer?   All I know is I’m ready for some outside time that includes actually walking on grass instead of through puddles!

Now Mom took a few pix of me out on the sidewalk once Dad got the snowthrower to do its’ magic this weekend……..thanks to a freak warming of the temps yesterday to a balmy 40+ degrees, the sidewalk dried off so I took a walk…….YAY!

Hope wherever you are, you have NO snow or at least just a bit like we have gotten………….we had a total of about 5-6 NEW inches of snow this weekend but a lot of what was “under” it had melted so it’s not been too bad.  Mom and Dad went out this morning with no problem on the roads!
