Since yesterday my blog had to be all about Teaser Tell All I couldn’t TELL ALL about what I was really up to the day before. Wanna know? Of course you do – especially after you saw the title of today’s bloggy right? WELL……..here’s where I was for HOURS and HOURS (not really – just one hour but it seemed like more!):
Animal Medical Center of Warrenton
Why was I there???? Cuz it was time for my annual physical and shots (Yuck)
Here’s my doctor – I was VERY good for Dr. Rethman – I always am. Mom was extremely proud of me!
Mom and I were chauffeured to our appointment by Dad. When I’m in the car I have to sit on Mom’s lap with her arms around me and my face is hidden under her arm so I can’t see. I don’t like to be reminded by the passing scenery that I’m going somewhere in the car because 100% of the time I’m IN the car, it’s because I’m on my way to the vet. No matter how nice they are, I’m still not crazy about it – you know what I mean!
So anyway, when we got there Dad waited in the car and Mom and I went in. There were some BIG dogs there and they barked at me so Ginger, the office manager, put me and Mom in a little room ALLLLLLL by ourselves where it was nice and quiet. They had two emergencies that afternoon so we had to wait almost 20 minutes before we saw Dr. Rethman. BUT guess what……Mom was holding me the whole time and I fell asleep on her shoulder – yep I sure did. She didn’t know I had until she heard me snoring – that’s right – SNORING! How embarrassing.
Dr. Rethman and the tech came into MY room (I think they should name it the Sammy Suite) and checked me out – and I do mean CHECKED ME OUT everywhere – and I just lay there and let them poke, prod, and move me this way and that……….THEN I got three shots! Rabies and two other things that I don’t even WANT to know what they were for…….I was so good. Not a squeak (or a snore). Dr. Rethman said I was in excellent shape – that I weigh 14 and a half pounds just like last year, and that it’s hard to believe I’m 13 years old. YAY!!! Mom talked to him about my “wonky knee” and a couple of other things she’d observed (like that I sleep a lot more and I’m a little more “demanding” of her time and attention) and he said that was normal – especially for a senior.
SO – bottom line is I’m 100% healthy – no worries – I don’t have to see them until next year – hallelujah. With some luck that means no car trips for a whole year.
So I’m celebrating!

It’s the day after Mom’s Day and we’re just hanging out at my house………..Mom spent yesterday doing stuff like buying plants and planting them in the yard (with my snoopervision of course), doing two loads of laundry (hey – if she wants to celebrate Mom’s day by doing Mom stuff it’s OK with me!)……..and uploading the cover of her book to my blog with a link to Kindle for those of you who have a Kindle and wanna read a fabulous book (yes of course I’m prejudiced). The cover art is my Mom’s painting of an old covered bridge. Anyway, if you look to the RIGHT here on my blog you’ll see this cover and if you click on it you go to Amazon/Kindle – isn’t she clever????? YAY MOM!!!!!
Dad napped. I think he got worn out watching Mom work. 😀 😀 😀
We had a nice sunny day……..and I visited lots of great blogs by those of you who blogged about Mother’s Day – so many sweet posts – obviously you feel like I do about the “human who takes care of us” in our lives. YAY!
Today Mom’s going to get the surprise packages ready to send out to the winners of my blogaversary competitions – I hope it doesn’t take a bazillion years for them to arrive at their destinations – you know how the mail is……I could probably deliver them faster using my hang-glider!
Sammy’s Mail Delivery Service !!
Now don’t forget that tomorrow is TUESDAY TEASER and as promised, it’s another very special one with our Guest Teaser………………..you may remember we had TWO great mystery photos with TWO great Tell-All videos last week. Just wait until you see this week’s!
Well, at long last, the moment has come to unveil some of our “not so finest moments” on film. Yep – indeed it has.
As you know, Santa Paws has asked me – Sammy the Temporary Elf – to help him find one lucky and deserving soul who by confessing to something terribly naughty done in the deep dark past, will for this Christmas ONLY, be able to have a present from him! You know Santa keeps tabs on us all year long and we go on his NAUGHTY list or his NICE list……he’s willing to give someone a break this year – what a nice guy he is huh??????
So please take a look at all these naughties, and choose your favorites. You CAN choose more than one entry in the poll, but you can only vote ONCE. So take a good look and make sure you check all your favorites because if you come back to vote again – you won’t be able to!!!
The poll will take votes all day today and tomorrow and the poll will CLOSE at 4:00PM Eastern Standard Time on Thursday, December 6th. I’ll let you know who the WINNER of the competition is on my Friday bloggie!
Are you excited? Are you ready? Here’s the poll – – – let the competition begin!!! 😀 😀 😀
Have fun choosing your favorites – all I can say is I’m glad I don’t have to vote! What a lot of NAUGHTY friends we have (tee hee).
Happy Caturday! What a beautiful day yesterday was…..Fall is really falling around here and the trees are nowhere near “peak” but beginning to get rather brilliant. Check this out!
We’ve got two of these burgundy beauties in the back yard!
Check this out too! It’s also “Fall-ish” but in a different way. This is an oil painting my Mom did back when she was writing her first mystery novel “The Mystery of David’s Bridge”. (I’ve shown this before on my blog actually.) She finished painting it BEFORE the book came out so she sent the image of the painting to her publisher and said she’d love for them to use it as the cover of her book. Did they? Heck no! They did their OWN artwork for the book which was OK but wouldn’t it have been way cool if they’d used my Mom’s????
Mom’s old covered bridge painting COULD have been a cover for her book!
Seeing as how it’s Caturday, I thought I’d spend a little time this morning enjoying the library with my Dad. Being companionable you know. He reads in one chair and I SLEEP in the other.
Catching some rays in the library…..
Mom is spending the morning up in her studio doing some drawings for her new book. I’m kind of excited about it – it’s about a colony of feral cats what lives in the woods! The main character-cat is a tuxedo kitten named Ferol. Mom thought that would be fun to name him that because (a) he’s a feral kitty and (b) my Grandad’s (my Mom’s Dad) first name was Ferol ! Why a tuxedo cat instead of a lovely ginger tabby like YOU KNOW WHO??? Easier to draw she said…….uh huh……sure Mom……
So how are you going to spend your Caturday? Hope your humans pay lots of attention to you this weekend….why? Well, because we deserve it!
