It’s TELL ALL time!

Yes, we have a winner and some other badges to hand out today so stay tuned students.  Keep awake……………!    It turned out to be an EASY Teaser yesterday but it was very “Christmassy”.

“I’m all about Christmassy……bring on the winners!”

First off, let’s tell you WHO our FIRST COMMENTERS were – we had TWO……………………………let’s have a drumroll please…………..

AND you each get one of these:

There were only TWO First Commenters on the Teaser post of December 20, 2022 and I was one of them!!!!!

THEN we moved on to the guessing of the Teaser and it was not long before we had a winner………………………….here’s the photo you all had to examine and study:

This is a beautiful photo of down by the water in Brighton, UK !

WOO HOO and want to know who guessed it correctly first??????????????????    Let’s have a drumroll please:

And here’s your badge Madame Security Patrol Guard:

WOW….I was the FIRST RIGHT GUESSER on the Pre-Christmas post on the Teaser of December 20, 2022!!

If you also guessed correctly – AND there were a number of you students who did – you may not have been first but you were right so here’s your badge:

SO I guessed RIGHT on the Teaser of December 20, 2022 BUT I wasn’t first. Darn!

AND if you guessed but were wrong – you still get a badge – this one:

I was WRONG with my guess on the Teaser of December 20, 2022 but that’s OK – I still got a badge for trying!

Cheer Team?  How about taking a few minutes away from skiing to cheer the winners………….

Happy Holidays to you from us on our skiing vacation
Your Cheerleaders are already a slope sensation!
Enough about us we’re cheering for YOU
First Commenters today – we had TWO!
Ingrid and Csilla were on the ball
Not sure why only two – where were ya’ll ?
Our FIRST RIGHT GUESSER was our own Miss Clowie
She did it with grace and wasn’t real “showy” !
We have missed you all for sure but we’ve enjoyed being away
Now if you’ll excuse us we’re meeting some guys on a sleigh!!

Thanks ladies for taking time to cheer our winners on…………………be careful of those guys on a sleigh……………….!

Enjoy your holiday meal students!  Happy Holiday from US to you!

Teaser Tuesday Christmas Style!

“Looks like we’ll be having a white Christmas gang!  Let’s go grab breakfast…..”

HAVE YOU COMMENTED STUDENTS????  Better do it now before you forget!

Well here we are – the final class before the jolly old man in the red suit visits all of you students who have been GOOD this past year.    He will actually still visit those of you who were BAD as well but you will only get a big fat lump of COAL in your stocking.   If you’ve been GOOD well – who knows – you could get just about anything.

“IF we’ve been good???  IF????? Look at these faces – innocent and GOOD!”

We Professors are hoping Santa brings us some new bow ties – ones that aren’t so big and bulky……hahaha

OK enough frivolity – it’s get down to business.   Today we have a Christmas-themed Teaser from our Graphics Department for you to figure out.    Makes us cold just looking at it!   But before we get to that – how about we tell you the rules AND show you the Christmas badges you can win today:

“OK – these aren’t half bad – they look somewhat familiar but they’re still pretty swell badges!”

Gee thanks – so happy you approve!

Our wonderful Teaser Security Guard Rudy is on vacation this week but that OLD HUMBUG himself, Sarge has agreed to bring in the Teaser photo for us today – Sarge????

“Alright students – you’d better work HARD to guess the Teaser – OR ELSE!”

“All I know is it looks COLD as heck!!”

Cheer Team?  How about giving this class a little pick me up with some Christmas cheer……………..everyone is looking a bit depressed……………………….

Howdy students we’re obviously not there!
We taped this before leaving – but it’s cold here too – we swear!
We decided to go skiing like we did last year
Then into the ski lodge for a pretzel and beer!
Good luck with the Teaser it looks like a goodie
We hear it’s cold back there – hope you wore your winter hoodie!!

Thanks ladies…………….very inspiring message.   We’ll see you tomorrow for the Tell All – unless of course you’re in the hospital with broken limbs from skiing on the EXPERT slope instead of the BEGINNERS!!

So – who’s UP for a cafeteria treat?

Mary Ann and I wish you a happy holiday – and hope you enjoy your holiday meal with us today!

See you tomorrow for the Christmas Tell All!

SPARK on Monday

Happy Christmas week Monday.    Time for “SPARKS”.   “SPARKS” was started by Annie McGuffy of McGuffy’s Reader but ended when she stopped blogging some time ago. It was meant to be a way to start out each week with with a meaningful thought – something that spoke to each of us and hopefully everyone else who read it. Although Annie isn’t currently blogging, a lot of us who enjoyed her SPARKS decided to keep posting SPARKS of our own.

Since it’s Christmas week – I of course wanted to capture some of the magic of this time of the year in my last SPARK before the holiday………………..

This is EVER so true………….

And, before I go my friends a wish for all of you

Merry Christmas from my family to yours……..Hugs, Pam

Sunday Selfie Hop

Sunday Selfie Hop time…………………….our hosts at The Cat On My Head give us a place to strut our stuff every Sunday – click the badge above and add your SELFIE to the mix!

Mom took some swell photos of me this week so she could share at least one of them today on Selfies BUT her camera – which is taking photos just fine – all of a sudden won’t let the computer download the photos from the camera!   We checked the cable and it’s fine so – well – guess Mom will have to work on it some more.

MEANWHILE, we have to do a Selfie today sooooooooooooooooooooooooo guess it won’t be a NEW one but then you’re used to that from me – I often dig around in the photo file for a photo to share……….so here goes.

How about this little gem from December 23, 2017 (my first Christmas holiday season in my new home).

I obviously had discovered the wonderful world of Christmas present wrapping – Mom gave me my very own piece of tissue paper thinking THAT would keep me from tearing up HER tissue and wrapping paper while she was on the floor wrapping gifts.   Did it work?  Heck no.    Anyway, I think I’ll jazz this one up in the form of a puzzle!

Just click this mini-me and have fun with the puzzle!!

Happy Week Before Christmas!   Hugs, Teddy Claws

Bakin’ With Bacon With King Teddy

Ho Ho Hi !

Happy Almost Christmas everyone.    You know I’m working to find some yummy goodies for you to share when you have family and friends over during the holiday.    This appetizer is really yummy but takes some work…..sometimes when you have time you can devote it to making something a little more “complicated” for your family and friends like this with all the ingredients!   Bacon takes a back seat in this recipe too – it’s a garnish but an important one for that wonderful salty crunch on top!      If you can find some shortcuts with this one use them but the recipe below is REALLY wonderful.   WARNING:    You absolutely cannot eat just ONE!

Smoked Pimento Cheese, Onion and Bacon Crostini

  • 48 slices French bread baguette (1/4 inch thick)
  • caramelized onions:
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Dash dried rosemary, crushed
  • Dash dried thyme
  • pimiento cheese:
  • 2-1/2 cups shredded smoked Gouda cheese
  • 2-1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 jars (4 ounces each) diced pimientos, drained
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 9 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled

  1. Preheat oven to 400°. Place bread on baking sheets. Bake 4-6 minutes or until light brown.
  2. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add onions; cook and stir 4-6 minutes or until softened. Stir in broth, vinegar, sugar and seasonings. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook 12-15 minutes or until liquid is evaporated, stirring occasionally.
  3. In a large bowl, toss cheeses; beat in mayonnaise, pimientos, Worcestershire sauce, pepper sauce and seasonings. Spread 1 tablespoon mixture over each baguette slice; top with 2 teaspoons onion mixture. Sprinkle with bacon. Bake 3-4 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Remember…..Santa is watching!

Hugs, King T
