This is Teddy in February, 2017 (11 months old and newly adopted from shelter!)

THIS IS OUR STORY

First of all, WELCOME!   I’m Angel Sammy………….My Mom started this blog some years ago when I was an only cat in the house……….I’d been adopted in February 2000 and spent almost 17 years being TOP CAT at my house before being called to the Rainbow Bridge on December 2, 2016.    It was a very sad Christmas for my Mom and Dad.    They knew they would want to get another kitty but needed time to grieve and get used to NOT having me with them after so many years.    At the end of January Mom was checking the shelter website where she and Dad had adopted me all those years ago and on February 10th, the site posted that they had three kittens for adoption but there were NO photos available!    Mom and Dad went down the very  next day and were first to go into the kitty room when it opened and there was my baby  brother Teddy…………a GINGER and WHITE guy just like me!    Imagine that!    What they didn’t know is that I had been very busy looking for the RIGHT KITTY for them and when I found him, I made sure he was at the shelter in time for them…….they fell in love with him immediately.  He was 11 months old and looked SOO much like me it was like we were twins.

Teddy was born on March 4, 2016.   He’s a bundle of energy and fun.   He owns all three floors of our house and runs up and down all those stairs like I used to when I was young before I got old and unable to run!    I am enjoying being his “mentor” and most of all his GUARDIAN ANGEL as I watch from the Rainbow Bridge with pride and love.    I will always be here for him – just as I am for my Mom and Dad.

Both of us will now be blogging here.   Our blog title changed to TWOspoiledcats but our blog address remains ONESPOILEDCAT.    We hope you enjoy following our antics.

So, that’s all about us……..we hope you will subscribe to our blog and leave comments when you feel like it.

Heavenly Hugs, Angel Sammy

(with help from both my Mom and Teddy)

    • Hi Miss Layla! Mom and I LOVE your website…….you always have such fun postings and pictures. That Odin is a wild (Wilde?) and crazy boy but I was like that when I was his age too. I have a special feeling about Domino – I still remember the old guy cat who we named Toby that wandered into our yard one day and was our “yard cat” until he died. He was my first really good friend but he was very old and tired when he came so we knew he’d not be with us for long. Anyway, thank you so much for visiting my blog. I have a lot of fun thinking of things to say every morning! Mom said to tell you she DID give me extra treats today because I was a very, very good boy at the vets this morning. I’ll probably talk about it tomorrow on my blog…you know me….I’m one spoiled cat but I’m also one spoiled cat that BLOGS!!!

Hugs to you and your kitties!

  1. I love hearing Sammy’s perspective on things. My sister in law’s dogs write a blog as well, but I think they have help. I’m looking after my son’s cat right now. She likes to curl up on my lap and use mental telepathy to influence me while I’m at the computer. Looking forward to reading more of your blog! Terri

    • Hi Miss Terri! Welcome to my world. Never a dull moment in my house. Someone has to keep my old parents on the move and on their toes and I guess that’s ME! Mental telepathy is our best way of communicating with humans….sometimes that “brain email” works best but other times what I call “THE LOOK” works too. You know – when you catch your cat’s eye across the room and just KNOW what he or she wants???? Cats are pretty darn crafty that way. Hope you visit again soon!

  3. This is very neat, you’re the third blogger that I’ve visited who’s writing from Virginia. There’s sure a bunch of creative folks your way. I actually got ingaged in Virginia in the garden of ‘The Hope & Glory Inn’ in Irvington. I don’t know if you’ve ever been, but it’s the cutest little town and the Inn is heaven.

    • Hi! I know Irvington – one of many absolutely adorable and interesting little towns in the country. Haven’t been to the inn but hubby and I have visited TONS of Virginia, W. Virginia, and Maryland inns – love exploring the little towns. We love it here….yet another fairly small town.

  9. Sammy looks like a lovely older guy and with 6 toes! I bet he gets into all sorts of mischief!
Some of our cats are leash trained and others are just bloody good escape artists! We had to do the same because of a train track running across the bottom of our garden. It will be nice to have friends from across the pond 🙂

    Like

    • Yikes on the train track but good for you figuring out how to handle it best! Cats are sneaky little devils but that’s part of their charm (I guess!! 😉 )………Sam’s happy enough staying inside in the cool although he used to really love to hang out in the gardens and yard as well as down the path into our woods….it’s nice to meet you – we have lots of friends on your side of the world and are most happy to meet you and your gang of meowzers!

Easy way out – that’s me…..at my age I like shortcuts and help. I’ll have to visit your bloggy and check out ALL of you!

  15. Hi Sam-another blogger, Caren and Cody, told me about you. My Oscar kitty, an orange boy like you, was recently told he was “getting” hyperthyroidism. Oscar is 16. Caren told us that you have it? If I understood her correctly, I would love to hear how you deal with this condition! We will be by to visit either way since I think orange kitties are the bestest! (PS-don’t tell my other two felines. It’s a secret 😉

    • Hi!!! Oh wow, Oscar is 16 – I hope to get there in a couple of years myself!!! We were told hyperthyroidism in older cats isn’t all that rare but that doesn’t make it any better to have to deal with!! My Mom will send you an email so look for one from junekimmATaolDOTcom. So far I’m doing well and hoping on my next checkup to hear that I’m STILL doing well!!!! Nice to meet you – – – I’m gonna tell Mom to email right away……..

YAY SENIOR GINGERS! (maybe we need a Senior Ginger Club?)
