WOO HOO – it’s time to fill in the blanks. This is a totally fun hop we do every week and our hosts Four-Legged Furballs and 15andmeowing always give us challenging blanks in the sentences they give us. Four sentences with words to fill in and it’s always FUN. If you’d like to join in click the above badge and link up.
Here are the sentences we got from them this week! Mom and I took turns this week filling in the blanks. If the word is my Mom’s – it’s in BLUE but if it’s MY word, it’s in GREEN.
GREEN is TEDDY BLUE is Mom
1. This weekend, I plan to do a lot of napping – in other words I plan to have my USUAL weekend!.
2. Friendly Fill-Ins never disappoints.
3. I once saw a couple in a huge balloon drift very slowly over our house – close enough that we spoke to each other briefly (“Looks like fun” (me)….”It is a fabulous ride!” (the couple)).
4. You’ll never hear me say no thanks Mom I don’t want a “treat”.
That was fun – it always is. We already can’t wait for NEXT Friday!
We have a lot of hot air balloons sailing over our house sometimes, and while they are close, not close enough to have a chat! Sometimes they land in the filed across the street from us. That is always fun to see it deflate and get put in the carrier van that ‘chases’ it.

They have a balloon festival every 2 years about 12 miles from us. One year before we had the boys I heard a lot of roaring outside. One was outside above our garden and they shouted down that they were trying to get height but might have to land in our field. They did manage to get up though.

Your answers are always fun to read! You and Dave should try a hot air balloon: it’s different from any other experience!!

David has been in one before but I haven’t…….still – flying with him in the airplane is similar in a way but faster! LOL

I don’t believe I could make myself get into one of those, just as I could never pilot a glider. But it’s fun to see.

I’m seeing green and blue again. That balloon sighting must have been cool to see. I only ever see them from a great distance.

Xena: I think I would have been terrified of that balloon.
Chia: I woulda jumped up and tried to grab it to play with it.
Lucy: You have no idea how big a balloon that is, Chia.
Mom: I can’t even imagine talking to someone taking a ride in a hot air balloon. Although sometimes around here I think there’s enough hot air to fuel one…

I’m with you on #1, Teddy! Not sure I’ll do that, but it sure would be nice. How interesting about the couple in the balloon!

It was preparing to land – the schoolyard right next to our development is their place to launch and land. It’s really fun to wave back and talk to people going overhead – it isn’t very often though!

Pawsome fill-ins, guys! Can’t imagine talking to someone in a balloon! That must have been really something.

THere is an elementary school with a huge playground/sports field next to our development and the balloons take off from and land there so they are down pretty far so they can land – we’re lucky to be in the “launch/landing” corridor. People always say HI from the balloons – it’s fun.

When Mom lived in her house in New Jersey a balloon went over and landed in the park across from the house.
We like your last answer!

Balloons are so exciting. Once a balloon floated over my house. I barked and barked and jumped as high as I could thinking I could get it. Mom said the word, “Dream on.”
Love and licks,
