Friendly Friday Fill-Ins Hop

Standard

Hi Friday Folks………….time to fill in the blanks.   Four sentences with blanks and we fill in our own words – easy right?  Yes!    You can join in if you like – click the badge above and go to 15andmeowing for the sentences to fill in OR if you have already done that and want to link up!

Here are the four sentences for this week and Mom and I shared duty again – if Mom is filling the blank in her words are in RED and if I’m filling in the blank, my words are BLUE!

1. My favorite character from a film, tv or book is Sherlock Holmes (I’m “old school”!!).
2. The one word I would use to describe myself is pleasingly plump – oops that’s two words..
3. If I had to give you my best piece of advice, I would tell you don’t “overthink” things – trust your gut feeling.
4. I will never compare with Mom’s prior kitties – we’re ALL unique!

There you have it – another week of words DONE………………thanks to our co-hosts for this FUN Hop.    We love it!

Hugs, Teddy

  1. Love those fill in answers!
Pleasingly plump, that made me giggle…reminds me of my two Omas, (Grannies) who were very huggable…and I did get to do that a few times…I do think if we met in person, I would hug you tightly!
And each kitty…or dog for that matter, are like our children…they all have their own characteristics and personalities. Yes indeed…unique and no two alike! Even within a breed standard. Oh wait, us pups are of unknown heritage…that makes us *very* unique!

  2. GOOD answers, and Einstein said once, “Comparison is the work of a small mind’…which we like to remember. Things just ARE around here, but the comparison thing is hard to shake sometimes as in “compare a T-bone for a kitty to say, brussel sprouts”. A no-brainer, Alfred! And yes, the gut knows more than anyplace!

    • I guess in the search for perfection we all learn at an early age to compare this with that………but I try NOT to do that as everything has its’ own “way”…..the gut sorts it all out! LOL

  3. Teddy and Mom, I loved those answers. You are absolutely pleasingly plump and huggable. Ooo la laaaa! Mom here said she got to thinking that she has pretty much stopped over-thinking as much as she did. where that falls down is anything health related about me. If you saw me sneeze once…oh my! She starts taking it to the limit.

    • Guess what Katie – my Mom is somewhat “Ted-obsessed” herself….she keeps a very close eye on me. If I’m sleeping a lot more than usual she thinks I’m sick (which isn’t true – I just like naps)….if I don’t eat all my breakfast she thinks I’m sick (which isn’t true – I’m just saving a snack for later). Sigh.

    2. The one word I would use to describe myself is stron minded. Oops Teddy, I had 2 words too.
    3. If I had to give you my best piece of advice it would be give in to what you know is right.
    4. I will never compare with others. That is a useless enterprise.

  5. Great advice from your Mom, Teddy. You’re right that each kitty (and each person) is one of a kind! Wouldn’t it be a boring world if we were all the same?! Happy weekend!

  7. Most excellent job with your fill-ins. When our mom was a kid, her mom always told her she was pleasingly plump, which ended up giving our mom body dysmorphic disorder. We think your mom’s one word is optimistic! • My Mom was always told she was “amazingly thin” which made her VERY self conscious – she would NOT wear shorts and had a terrible time wearing the gym outfits she had to wear in high school. Didn’t help that she was taller than the other girls and most decidedly thinner! Some things are carried through an entire life – sadly.
