It’s THANKFUL day! I do have some this week too – thankful the predicted snow didn’t happen (which is the FOURTH TIME it hasn’t)…………thankful that my Mom finally goes to the eye doc tomorrow to talk about scheduling her first cataract surgery (so she can SEE properly again)……..thankful that I weigh 28 lbs. so I can’t possibly blow away in the impossible wind we have EVERY SINGLE DAY anymore. Usually 30-35mph gusts – I’m an immovable object thankfully! Thanks Brian for giving us a chance to voice our thankfuls every week.
I’m also thankful that I have Angel Sammy’s poem to share with you today – see below!
DO NOT DISTURB………..Teddy

It’s Poetry Time!
Hi everybody. Time for us to share some poetry. Poetry that WE have written which is special right? I try to inspire myself and all of you every week by giving you a photograph to use as inspiration for your poem then we share what we’ve done on Thursday. I look forward to it. I hope you do too.
Here’s the photo I gave you last week to use for today’s poetry:
This is by the way a REAL driveable vehicle – built upside down. I know some of you have done some research online to find out more about it. If you CLICK HERE you can read about it AND there’s a link to a YouTube of him driving it with his pup. Wild huh?
So here’s my poem……………………
It Got My Attention!
Poem by Angel Sammy Kimmell ©March 8, 2023
I have to say now that I’ve seen it all
I’ve seen the shortest of short and the tallest of tall
The widest and longest and biggest and I must confess
That the upside down vehicle is the best of the best
The man in his vehicle with his pup strapped in tight
Driving along in the sunshine taking in all the sights
But even in my wildest and wackiest imagination
The upside down vehicle is the BIGGEST sensation!
My first thought was “I wonder how many accidents were a result of people gawking at this vehicle on the road as it moved along!!”…………but I’m also certain that a whole lot of people saw it and thought what an amazing machine he had constructed. If you google upside down vehicles you’ll see that this is not the only one – lots of people have built upside down vehicles. Anyway, it was a fun photo for a poem. If you wrote a poem for this one – let us know in comments so we can read it will you?
Here’s your inspiration for next week……………….maybe not as much fun as an upside down vehicle but……..still fun!
OK – first let me say – EEEK. Secondly let me say this one will be a FUN ONE! See you next Thursday and we’ll share what we’ve written!!
Until Then Be Kind, Be Happy, be YOU

I am the Angel Poet in the green beret…..and I hope you join me for POETIC FUN each week!
Love always, Angel Sammy
we wonder what happens in rain LOL it becomes a bathtub then, right?

Lots of thankfuls!! Hope you can get the cataract surgery done so your sight will be restored.
I’ve been having some eye issues, too…even my new glasses are not helping…hubby wonders if the lens makers got the script messed up…and that has happened to me twice over the years!
Love your poem…
Mine was rather clowny…

Cute poem! I’m sure this guy enjoys all the attention he gets driving this truck around but it has to be a road hazard! I am excited about seeing the eye doc today – my new glasses addressed a lot when I got them a couple of years ago but not the “floating clouds” and blurriness.

Not yet! The forecast is for lots more later. There’s a yellow snow warning – always makes us laugh! 😀 But I always like to make the most of it as soon as possible – sometimes it vanishes so quickly!

Clowie I know you love snow so I hope you get a bit of it! I’d send you ours but there’s nothing to send so far – a non-snow winter for us is WEIRD!

There is a lot of you to love, Teddy. 🙂 I enjoyed your poem, Angel Sammy. That is quite a feat making an upside-down vehicle. Most people make them by accident.

Mom and I thought the same thing when we saw that vehicle……!!!

This man looks so healthy. He certainly doesn’t have scurvy, but he gives new meaning to the words topsy-turvy.
And Teddy you certainly will not blow away, but we are blown away by your size. Wow!

We actually have snow in our forecast today and tomorrow so winter isn’t gone here either but Spring didn’t wait for winter to be gone before it arrived. That means some frozen plants but all the other snow predictions were WRONG so who knows. It’s a challenge!!!!!!!!

Teddy, I will follow that link about the vehicle in a while today! Mom has been happily busy, very busy, the entire week so far. She’s grateful for that. She’s outta here by 8 or so…
You looked so luscious there on the bed How can your mom resist lying there with you, snuggled in.

Hi Katie! Mom knows if she violates my nap time I will leave and find my required privacy. Not that I don’t snuggle with the Mom because I do but on MY terms not hers. Yes that makes me mean-ish but it’s part of my lovable personality to give Mom challenges like that. Keeps her brain tuned in – know what I mean????? Now if it was YOU attempting a snuggle my rules would be different!

As always, Teddy did a great job with his poem. It definitely was a crazy photo…but next week, no way. That girl is actually on a cruise ship. Mom wrote a silly poem to go with the goofy car photo: https://thecatonmyhead.com/kitty-clown-car-thankfuls/
We are definitely going to check out some of the other upside down cars. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, angel Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh

Thanks for the compliment on the poem – it’s such a crazy thing to be riding around in. Yes that girl is on a cruise ship – imagine aiming for that pool and a huge gust of wind come along – eek. We loved your poem for the wacky car by the way. An image search for upside down vehicles is truly weird.

We had that “flip thing” when we FOUND that photo for next week – can NOT imagine jumping that high into a pool on a ship. CRAY-Z !!!!!!!!!
If you google “upside down vehicles” you will be surprised how many there actually are – happily we’ve never seen one on the road around here!

My Mom is anxious to get rid of all the issues – clouds/blurring, etc. Yesterday’s visit went fine – next week she goes for lens measurements – then I guess it will be surgery! I’ll be her nurse here at home!

That car is really weird! That girl is really brave diving from that height! When I was a lot younger I used to go on Plymouth Hoe most days and jump of the high board into the sea. I think it was 14 or 16 feet. I only jumped, I wanted to dive but couldn’t face going in head first. Two feet is high enough for me now!

I’m with you on HIGH jumping/diving. I clearly remember swimming lessons YEARS ago and being “forced” to dive off the high dive into the pool. I was so terrified – I did it but only that ONE TIME. The photo for next week absolutely makes me nauseous ! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Brilliant poem……I believe that car is actually a truck but googling the images of “upside down vehicles” brings up a WHOLE variety of unusual upside down ways to travel. I honestly think this thing would be a road hazard – everyone would want to stare at it and I foresee some fender benders as a result! LOL
