It’s fill-in Friday with our two co-hosts. Before we start filling in, we want to say again how sorry we are that Miss Ellen at 15andMeowing had to say goodbye to her sweet Emmy this week. Emmy fought a good fight to stay in her wonderful home but no matter how much we WANT to stay, sometimes it just isn’t our choice. I know she misses you as much as you miss her.
In case you want to participate in the fill-in-the-blanks fun but don’t know the four sentences we were given – you can click the badge above to see the sentences AND join in the Hop too!
Here we go. Mom and I shared this week – if Mom has filled in the blank her word is in RED but if I’ve filled it in, my word is in GREEN.
1. I always forget to (Well honestly I write notes to myself so I don’t forget things but I do sometimes FORGET WHAT DAY OF THE WEEK IT IS!!!).
2. I never forget to look for birds hiding in the bushes in front of the front porch because they LOVE being in there and I LOVE chasing them – it’s the FIRST THING I do when I go outside!.
3. Nothing makes me happy more than when Teddy hops up on the bed and snuggles with me.
4. It might sound outrageous, but I wish we could put the Christmas tree back up – I had the BEST NAPS under that thing!
Thanks to our co-hosts for doing the fill-ins Hop every week. It’s really a whole lot of fun to find out things about our friends even if we think we know them SUPER WELL, there’s always something to learn!
Hugs, Teddy

YES! I think we should celebrate knowing night from day. That’s way more exciting than whether it’s Monday or Tuesday anyway!

Sometimes I have o check he calendar to make sure of the correct day’s nmber…lwet alone hte weekdday! Holidays really mess up my mind!
Here is a funny one: We had the same garbage pick up since we were married way back in 1987…and a couple of weeks ago it got changed…now I really get confused. I think I’ll leave the bin at the roadside all the time. That way I will not forget to put it out on the right day…and I will get a bit of a walk when there is stuff to dump into it…LOL!
Nope we can’t do that, the bylaws here forbid it! Sigh…

Funny how we compensate for not knowing the day of the week – having the daily blog has kept me MOSTLY tuned into what day it is but not always!!!!

We are lucky. We keep our garbage bin in the yard outside our garden gate. Because we have assisted collection the truck comes right down for it. We still have to remember which day to put the recycling out though.

I wish the garbage truck could come up our long driveway to get our garbage bin BUT David rolls it down on garbage days and back up and it’s a major CHORE !!!

I leave myself post-it notes everywhere if I have to remember things. I can never remember which day of the week it is either, particularly on Tuesdays! I have just ticked the email post notification box and hope it doesn’t start sending emails of every comment again like it started to do a while back.

Post-it notes help me a lot too!!!!

You could try telling them that they could start a new trend with an all year round tree in the house!

I tried that………it didn’t work………but trust me – I’m still working on it!

So cute pic, Teddy. The fills-ins are great, so normal to think what day is today, what number, month…

It must be normal because just about everyone who commented today said the same thing!!!!! 🙂

Glad I’m not the only one not remembering which day it is sometimes. Once you aren’t committed to something…especially work, or volunteer things, the actual numerical dates aren’t usually top on your mind. And post it notes…heavens yes. I use a paper calendar, too. As writing it down keeps it fresh in my mind. I’m just one of those that don’t like using electronic calendars. Ol’ fuddy duddy.

I have a small paper calendar RIGHT HERE by the computer. I write EVERYTHING down on it – sometimes it looks like I’m “overcommitted” when I look at it……other times I feel like I SHOULD be committed (hahahahahahaha) but I would never remember everything without the calendar.

You both did a great job with your answers. If it wasn’t for the blog, our mom would never know what day it is, and she often does forget. Birds are the best. We can watch them for hours from the catio. And we do get to chase them occasionally when they come on the upper deck! Love to all from everybody here including the humans. Mom claims she doesn’t need to know the day of the week because she’s retired. But she keeps her 365 Day Calendar on the counter right where she makes her morning tea, tho, soooo…….

One of my clients has a 4-foot artificial tree and leaves it up year-round, decorating for each season. Just saying, it’s possible.

Hmm……food for thought. I suppose if we set a tree up somewhere other than our library front window (which is where the Christmas tree goes up) our neighbors wouldn’t think we’d lost our minds and Teddy would be happy!!!!!
