OUR FIRST RIGHT GUESSER WAS……………………
SHARON !!!
Bravo Miss Sharon!
Wondering what the details were on the photo? Here’s the photo:
This is a photo of the place UNDER the Colisseum in Rome, Italy where all the animals were kept that were used in the gladiator fights and as sacrifices for the entertainment of the Roman people. Here’s some information about this awful place CLICK HERE.
Anyway, YAY for Sharon and here’s YOUR badge for being our FIRST RIGHT GUESSER:
If you also guessed right – you get a badge – one of these of your very own:

Congrats to Sharon and Carole!!
I think that place looks like part of a torture chamber…
May I please have some f that Chicken Crescent wreath, some Broccoli Cheese Soup, and a Gelato…does Miss D have lemon flavored?
And a coffee to to warm me up after all the frozen dessert! Wait, that will make my teeth crack… I better wait with the coffee…
LikeLike
YES and indeed in reality it was a torture chamber for soooooo many animals that were sacrificed for entertainment purposes long ago – so very sad!! As for your food order – sounds delish and we’ll wait to bring your coffee to you AFTER you’ve finished that dessert of yours!!
Hugs, Teddy

Congrats to Carole and Sharon! I was on the right track when I said it looked Ancient Roman, but I didn’t come back to try and get nearer. I am trying to reduce my computer time as I am spending too long on it. I want to get back into reading more and I can’t do both.

I’m wanting to do the same thing – but I think I’m going to have to reduce blogging days in order to be off the computer more……..you’re right – reading is one of the things I’ve sacrificed since I’ve been blogging…………….

Three cheers for Carole and Sharon. Too bad we don’t have Mimosas today! But we can celebrate with a culinary feast. … I’ll go with my cannoli, I’ll have pot roast, mashed tubers, roasted veggies, parm corn, cherry-strawberry smoothie, gelato, and another cannoli.
Hey Miss D – It’s Mardi Gras season, how about whippin’ up some King Cake next week.

Purrfect suggestion – we’ll see if we can get Miss D interested in being a good sport and doing some Mardi Gras stuff!

OMCs I recall in movies such as Ben Hur mention of big cats coming up and into the arena but I never really thought about where they were housed

We saw some of that area beneath the “floor” of the colisseum when we were in Rome but not down as far as this “level”…….It was hard to imagine the horror of what took place there

That is a terrible place. Glad there aren’t gladiator fights anymore.

I know – it was truly hideous!

Concats to Carole and Sharon!!! A coal mine would have been a ways better function for that place – thus my guess was wrong but at least animal friendly! Let’s celebrate this historical flop with a huge pile of Pasta with Shrimp, a tiramisu and a puppuccino!
