SPARK on Monday

Standard

Happy Monday.  You know what Monday means – SPARK!     “SPARKS” was started by Annie McGuffy of McGuffy’s Reader but ended when she stopped blogging some time ago. It was meant to be a way to start out each week with with a meaningful thought – something that spoke to each of us and hopefully everyone else who read it. Although Annie isn’t currently blogging, a lot of us who enjoyed her SPARKS decided to keep posting SPARKS of our own.

I’ve told you all before that I sometimes spend an incredible amount of time looking for the “RIGHT” Spark to post on Mondays.    It has to be a part of me, something that means something to me, something I hope others can relate to, or even something amusing that might bring a smile to someone other than just me.     My SPARK for today is one that I’m pretty sure everyone “gets” but probably doesn’t think about but it’s OH SO VERY TRUE.   It doesn’t mean you have to be on the edge of your seat every second waiting to make sure you have your timing right……………it just means BE AWARE.    Time and its’ travel is quick enough in our lives without us getting so caught up in it that we MISS a chance to acknowledge what might be important – to us or others.    Don’t be in such a hurry.   Before you know it, time is UP.

Speaking about the passage of time – my sincere thanks to those of you who wished me a Happy Birthday…………………..another year has come and gone and I am grateful for each and every year I’ve had.    There were plenty of times I didn’t know if there would BE another year.    Just like my SPARK says!!!

Happy Monday!

Hugs, Pam

  1. That is a wonderful; and very true spark! I also know that feeling about life when another year is added to my numbers…and the next one is arriving in a few more weeks.
One just should never open one’s mouth…or in the computer age, our fingers, without thinking about it…and we sure need to live each day as if it might be the last one, else we may not enjoy them as a whole…when we look back.

  2. What a great Spark. No. 1, I am always reminding myself about. It only takes one word to hurt someone and ruin their day. I too spend a very long time looking for my Sparks. If it doesn’t “speak” to me, it cannot be my Spark. Thanks for always selecting a good one. Sending love and hugs, Janet
